Agreed that "Delta Dawn" never sounded better, or looked better, for that matter. Every time I watch this one I'm struck with how tall all 5 of these guys are (6 ft. plus) -- they are dwarfing Brooke as they walk down the street! Brooke is a good mix, and worked well, especially with Austin's high notes. This time it's not just country modern, it's "country western"!
This is super. I like this better than the original and other covers Great sung, incredible bass, unbelievable beatboxing/vocal sounds, amazing harmonies. Each has just the right role in the song. And then the video!!! Wow. They all look perfect🥰😍. Images from earlier Western movies that I watched a lot came back! Yes, another successful cover!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Home Free and Brooke Eden are awesome together!💖
I 100% agree with the others who've already suggested a couple great songs from Home Free - *Children Go Where I Send Thee* (amazing collaboration with the legend, Kenny Rogers!!) And *Go Tell It On the Mountain* (great collab with Texas Hill)! They're Christmas songs, but I don't think it's too soon to start checking them out - they've got an extensive Christmas catalog, so you better start soon! Lol 👍😁
Some of their best gospel-style songs are "Children Go Where I Send Thee" (with Kenny Rogers!), two collabs with Texas Hill, "Go Tell It On the Mountain" and "Giving Up on You", and two collabs with the Oak Ridge Boys, "Elvira" and "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem."
I know a couple of them. I come from a very very church oriented family.. My grandpa, uncles, cousins, etc, being pastors.. It was never my thing growing up but I finally have an understanding of the teachings an what it was all about.. Kinda wish I would've figured it out earlier but.... Live and learn!!
@@HanginwithHillbilly This isn’t my religion, but “Children Go Where I Send Thee” with Kenny Rogers is really well done. It’s one of their most interesting musically. And “Go Tell It On the Mountain” is just a really catchy tune. The Texas Hill boys bring along their instruments, so it’s more conventional. But still springy.
@@barbarakennedy2667 I meant specifically gospel style, not gospel in the sense of songs sung in church. Though I agree of course that How Great Thou Art is one of their masterpieces. And I should have added "My Church" to my list.
I never cared for this song but Home Free made me like it. They tend to do that a lot. LoL. Their "Dreamer " (feat.) Texas Hill-Live at the Ryman is definitely one to check out. I believe members of both groups wrote it and it's wonderful! Kenny Rogers (feat) Home Free " Children Go Where I Send Thee" is great and " American Pie" ft. Don Mclean are both a lot of fun.
They are masters of integrating a guest artist into their vibe. I've seen it with Don McLean, Kenny Rogers, Oakridge Boys, Mark Wills, Peter Hollens, Avi Kaplan, Texas Hill, Maggie Baugh, Lisa Cimorelli, Lee Greenwood, etc.
They also collaborated with another female artist on a cover of Dolly Parton's From Here to the Moon and Back with a very talented Maggie Baugh, who is also an amazing violinist.
Such a great song! Bette Midler did it first in 1971 but I remember Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy's versions. The guys did a really nice job backing up Brooke Eden on this song. They never take away from a guest vocalist. And how cool did they all look dressed in the western theme. Reminded me of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western movies I used to watch.
Thanks…Yes, a Great job on these take of an older cover…(which I liked even more than the original)…just love what these guys do for any song…cover or their original❣️💗❣️‼️
I was never a huge fan of this song until now with Home Free. They just have a way of making songs better. Brooke has a great voice. All I know about her is that she was on American Idol years ago. The boys have sung with Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Oak Ridge boys, Don McLean, Lee Greenwood, Texas Hill and more. They help promote others too like Brooke, Maggie Baugh, Billy Gilmore. So many good songs. Good reaction HB!😍😄
They do have many originals themselves but do loads of covers as well and it's always respectful to the original. I love all of their songs, they are unique and amazing always.
I remember when Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy had hits with this song (I don't remember Bette Midler's version). Their arrangement, singing, harmonies & beatboxing have brought it back to life for new generations. There's a live version of them singing this with Maggie Baugh that's terrific too! Thanks for playing this & our comments.
Delta Dawn was one of my favs. This version led DD down a whole new meaning, I enjoyed this one even more. As always, Home Free pulled it off with a hit ! This one could possibly hit the country seen as #1 in the near future. ❤❤❤
the biggest problem with being a Home Free reactor is finding different ways to say how great they are. Booke is one female who could hold her own in a duet with Austin, and they blend well, too. That isn't always the case with 2 strong voices - I don't think he and Maggi Baugh blend as well. His duet with Makena Hartland is fantastic - and rumor has it that there is another one on its way...sometime.
The first time I heard this song , it was a hit by Tanya Tucker when she was in her mid teens. What a powerful voice she had at such a young age. The guys and Brooke did a fantastic job with this version. The harmonies and her voice all blended perfectly. I've said it many times, these guys do justice to every song the cover, not to mention their originals. Thank you, H.B.( don't know what else to call you, so you have now been given a nickname from me, lol)❤😊
Thank you! You an call me what ever you like, most people call me Hillbilly or Dave.. I usually go with Hillbilly on here as I collaborate with Dave from @behindthedave quite often. He is the first to introduce me to HOME FREE.
@HanginwithHillbilly yes I saw the first time you reacted them..Dave was there, if I remember correctly, and you were fascinated with Adam's "nomonica" lol. Great reaction, too, by the way 😊
They have several songs that they cover with the original artist. I highly recommend Elvira with the Oakridge Boys and God Bless the U.S.A. with Lee Greenwood and the Air Force band.
Thank you so much!! It's folks like you that are making it happen!! I'm so appreciative of the Home Fries, The RENegades, the Hangover Gang and everyone that supports this channel. I'm having a blast with it!!
I love Home Free. I've yet to hear one of their covers that truly benefited due to a "featured" artist... Including this one. I think it would've been just as amazing without her. Don't know who she is - don't really care one way or the other ... But Home Free MADE this song ... Bette Midler put it out .. (it sucked) ... Then Tanya Tucker - it was okay ... But Helen Reddy killed it back in the day (I know, I remember when it was first released).

Yes, Brooke looks so tiny next to them.
This is super.
I like this better than the original and other covers

Yeah, it's the Christmas songs from now through Christmas. Should be fun!

And Amazing Grace

This was the first time I think I’d heard this as a male - female duet. I liked how that changed the dynamics.
Thanks for reacting.
Home Free put out new video today 🤟🤠🤟
I saw that, hopefully I can get to it tomorrow. I like to do them within hours but its been a busy day.. :(

🤠 HF 🔥. Great reaction.❤❤️❤️

Austin is wearing the same poncho that Clint wore in High Plains Drifter, his spaghetti western.

This is an amazing video and Brooke is perfect for this song. Love it.❤❤❤
I remember when Tanya Tucker came out with this. She was 13 years old, and sounded much older! Good reaction Hillbilly.
Thank you so much!
You use all the right adjectives: amazing, masterpiece, etc.
It comes naturally with these guys!
Isn't it beautiful how they support guest singers?!🥰
Enjoyed your reaction 😊
Thank you!

This was so well done! They just keep getting better. The take covers and upgrade them! Lov e your reaction!
Thank you so much!!
TANYA TUCKER was the original artist and I think she would luv this! They never cease to amaze! Great reaction!
Thank you and I agree, she would be def cool with it!!

That's true. I'll come up with something for the next one. I'll break out my thesaurus...lol
That ending is epic

If you want real gospel from HomeFree, you should listen to go rest high on that Mountain. Absolutely superb cover of Vince Gill song.
Glad to see you! Channel's growing!
