Top class video 10/10 Gonna add: veteran maelstrom arena is a great teacher. I remember when starting out the 2 things that helped me boost my dps the most were doing maelstrom to familiarize myself with enemy behaviour and mechanics, and i was lucky enough to be in a teaching group where we gathered at our guild house as a team of 12 all on microphones, with raid lead explaining player positioning to us. My dps went from 25k to 90k in under a week with just these 2 things. Help from experienced players, and learning from Maelstrom are vastly underrated performance boosters
Thanks for the cool comment! Fully agree about arenas, except that many people cruise through them with Arcanist and/or Oakensoul and learn far less than they otherwise would.
I specifically say that Crimson is for when the group doesn’t have Alkosh (which seems to be 90% of the time). In those situations there’s probably no better support set. But of course yes, you’re right, Alkosh is preferable by far.
have you ever made a guide for fresh 50s like what kind of gear they can craft immediately at 50 that helps with damage? Everywhere I look, its always builds that have Trials gear, I ain't even in veteran dungeons yet and don't know what gear to use
I never understood one thing If you are using aoe hitting skill (like puncture, flail/beam) to deal a single target dps - does it register as a single target dps or still aoe dps? What type of CP do you have to use in that case?
AOE abilities are buffed by Biting Aura even IF they only hit one target. If in doubt, you can check by looking at the number on the tooltip, then swap CPs and see if it changes. Hope that helps - like and subscribe lol!
to be fair it's not typically the dps responsibility to manage buffs and debuffs in a trial. We're supposed to focus on crit chance and crit damage and weapon/spell damage. buffs are supposed to come from the support roles. So it's understandable that dps wouldn't build around them.
You’re absolutely right. You might be surprised just how many DDs not only try to bring their own buffs/debuffs, but even heals. I was. Hence why I made this video. 🤩
Join Ninja Pulls. We have no such restriction (although if people are remotely serious about trials, we encourage them to move away from Oakensoul). Most likely these conditions have little to do with the Mythic/playstyle itself and more to do with the typical Oakensoul user. People get burned a few times and they take steps to avoid it happening again.
I get that, but 'random' does not equal 'useless' (or at least it shouldn't). Plenty of players buff the group automatically, and most Oakensoul buffs are extremely easy to get. If PUGs really were that bad, the answer is not Oakensoul but frankly, to join a guild and team up with others who actually want to play cooperatively.
@@NinjaPulls I mean, usually, random tank don't have any armor penetration set. Random DD not use support sets etc. So , usually, your damage at dummy more higher then with random trial groups. Only my experience.
Weirdly, minor slayer should be true, but finding RC and AB for trash is giving me vastly better damage numbers than coral/sulxan +AB. That is the only time I don't use a trial set, though. Sorry, content level would be nice for context. I am in 3 prog hm groups including LC HM on PTS right now.
Bro, I've been playing for years, you're video is clear, concise and very informative, I was always confused by penetration You did a tiny mistake about the oakensoul ring, it doesn't give minor heroism
(1 item) While equipped, you are unable to swap between your Primary and Backup Weapon Sets and gain Minor Berserk, Minor Courage, Major Brutality, Major Sorcery, Major Prophecy, Major Savagery, Minor Force, Minor Protection, Major Resolve, Minor Mending, Minor Fortitude, Minor Intellect, Minor Endurance, Minor Heroism, Minor Slayer, Minor Aegis, and Empower.
Look again please. I put a huge amount of work into fact-checking these videos, so it kinda hurts that you think I'd make this mistake 😭. Oakensoul has literally always granted Heroism - originally Major Heroism, but that was changed to Minor Heroism shortly after it released. It's there. On every character. You just didn't notice it.
@@NinjaPulls So they added it back in minor version? Niice, I've been buffed again! I clearly remember that last time I played a long time ago, they removed it, I spent a lot of time doing calculations back then so I could boost my Weapon Damage up to 7000+ I was to a point where I would one shot 33k enemies and felt sad the overland is not harder, which made me quit
Yeah Heroism was never removed. It was Major for one patch, then in U35 it was changed to Minor. That's about 18 months ago - sorry to bring you the news so late! Anyway glad you liked the video and thanks for the kind words.
The amount of usefull information packed in 9 minutes is something alot of guides can learn from! Great video!
Thanks dude! Hopefully the tips will help.

@@NinjaPulls very true, its not a good teacher as it once was, maybe vateshran suits the role better
Been going back and forth on this stuff in our prog. Imma share this around. Tyvm
Slowly but surely you are becomming my favorite source of ESO knowledge and ideas despite me having over 2k CP :) Thank you, keep it up
Best comment ever. With a bullet. Thanks!
Great work as usual! Ty for the efforts
You're welcome - glad you liked it.
Good video lots of info. I would have kosh(either on zen Dk or even Eccro) guaranteed over crimson, there's way better sets for supports then crimson.

While oakensoul *can* work in trials, every guild that i've joined to get some trial groups has "NO OAKENSOUL" in their rules/requirements

Maybe join non elitist guilds… ?
Most players play with random groups, even vet trials. So, many buffs are gone.
