Ok guys
1. The trucks gear indicator was stuck as seen while I’m driving 65.
2. This boat is a super boat it’s in the name SUPER Air Nautique
3. Thank you watching I love reading all your comments :)
arnt these typically called Nautique's though, the model boat is the Super Air
That is a pro team wake board boat about 150k new balist and perfect pass equipped it's my brothers dream boat is the only reason I know about the thing at all
What a douchey response! It's not right to talk like that to someone for making a harmless wording error.
@odeis5 dang bro, tell us how you really feel lol 😨
@@alfredmcdusseldorf6228 right??! That's what I was thinking...
"They dont want to touch boats with their forks" as a nice looking camaro comes bouncing around the corner on a set of forks lol
lol
But that's a car not a boat lol
@DerekGarretson M.C.E ehh throw a few t-shirts or towels on the forks and you'll be good to go! lol
Camaro 30 k new. This boat 140+k new.
Eather this guy is a liar about paying $22,000 or he meant to state $2,000
The axles on the trailer aren't bent in the way you think they are, they are suppose to have an upward bow to them so when you but the load on them the straighten out a little.
Anybody else notice he was driving the truck in first gear the whole time?
guessing the indicator is broken as he was doing 60mph
Lmao yes I was just about to say the same thing haha what a dumb ass 🤦♂️
Yea wtf... why....
haha that's an epic first gear! 30mph at 1800rpm, 57mph at 2300rpm, would give 125mph at 5k :P
yes I did
From the Austin area and wouldn’t buy any of those boats that were damaged during the flood. All the best to you and hope it works out. Thanks for sharing the build with us.
Amazing, I cant wait to see the progress. I am so MAD for you that they did not disclose that fiberglass damage by the tower, they are good at hiding shit apparently but sounds like you know what you are doing. Best of luck, she will clean up good!
Check engine light is on because it's a 6.0 ford.
Jeff Bennett look what gear it in lol lmao
jared perrino Doesn’t Change The Fact It’s A Shit 6.0... If It Were A 7.3 It Wouldn’t Have That Problem
@@LostMisfit11 goid luck with the injectors on that 7.3
GarrettSelfVlogs 7.3 was the best engines. The 6.7 is also a really nice one
Your just jealous you cant afford one.. best dam truck on the market
I know these are expensive about but that seems like a hell of a lot of money for that much damage. But you speak with conviction and confidence so good luck and I will be watching
When the crane was lifting the bow of the boat water was pouring out of the bottom of the hull midship, around the keel. Drain plugs aren't installed along the keel. Check for a crack or hole that goes through the hull.
Hmm...that isn't true. Direct drive and V-drive boats have drains in that location.
We found out the hard way what the extra plug was for in our boat. There is a second plug right by the keel...
Holy crap , look at that brake rotor at 00:15 , missing a whole chunk!!
Holy crap good job spotting that.
Obviously the trailer brakes don’t work or there would be big trouble on the first brake application.
That was probably the sound hecwas talking about
Good eye
Seen that as well looked to see if anyone else commented about it and you already have
@Scott S With a truck that is not running right. Only the winch strap on the bow eye of the boat. No safety chain in the bow eye encase of winch failure or strap breakage which happens more often than people think. To top it off there were no transom straps either.
I would really like to see an update to this rebuild as soon as you can put it out, love these boats right here!
At the 2:00 mark I realized you were here in Austin. That boat was likely ROLLED when lake Austin flooded last october. Boats would rise with the water levels until they hit the roof of the boat dock, then they would fill with water, sink, and the current would roll them downstream until they piled up at the dam. That's why the tower and windshield are all crushed.
Good luck with that build. I looked at these myself for about 4 months, but couldn't pull the trigger on any of these.
mcgyverdude mainly lake lbj.
I live on Lake travis, and I am not aware of any boat being sunk due to the flood. Lake travis 's water level varies greatly, so all docks are floating-not piered like they are on Lake Austin or Lake Marble Falls. I believe the water level on Lake LBJ is also allowed to fluctuate, so I would be surprised if anyone had a piered boat dock.
mcgyverdude and I lost 2 boats and 2 jet skis on lbj. See my profile pic wirtz dam. I’m a full time resident
mcgyverdude lbj is constant level all docks are stationary, my 30 ft Chapparal is in the bottom somewhere.
Cant wait to see rebuild!
These are the rebuilds I wanna see everyone does cars but wake boats, hell yeah
Thank you for sharing your project with us. I had a boat project also What an experience through the entire thing. Had many years of joy using the boat Both of my children learned to water ski with the boat
How is that not over flooded? The stick had water 3/4 the way up.
Super Air Nautiques are great boats. We have a Cobalt 27 footer which is similar but I used to use these boats all the time at the camp I went to in Muskoka
2 best days of owning a boat in the 20th century, the day you finance and the day ins. Pays it off
Um, it’s actually the 21st century.
And for some people the day its gone!
Zig says best day for him it was the day he sold that rubber rotting, prop dinging piece of fiberglass!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Will be a A beautiful boat again when restored & working on a boat can be relaxing & fun as long as you have a air-conditioned shop & plenty of $$$ to put into it.
OBD2 reader is nice to keep in the truck
Forget these haters man that's a legit boat and with a some money your still doing good with it those boats are legit. Enjoyed watching this
Yeah I can't figure everyone out. That motor is at least $15k should you need to replace it
I would be interested in a boat trailer rebuild I would be interested on how you measure to fit the bunks to the boat and replacing axles
With that v-drive you need the trailer built for that Nautique, A regular boat trailer will not work for v-drive and inboard ski boats.
Trucks broken. Trailers broken, pays over 22k for a pile of fiberglass, “YEE HAW FELLERS”
I missed what he paid, did you say $22k for that? Just Askin!
This dudes priorities are all fucked up, but maybe he plans on flipping the boat for profit, or doing drug runs lol.
i get it tho. my truck and tralier are not my toy the boat is. if the truck and trailer goes thats what matters.
he paid less than 6k
I don’t know what he payed for it but even at 22k and him dropping another 20k in it he would still not even be at half of what a brand new one of them cost
You need to buy a couple packs of magic erasers and it will look 10x better after you use them
Boat trailer axles are supposed to be "bent" so that the boat can sit lower allowing it to launch in less water.
Steven P mostly preload and sway control
I learned something new today. Thanks!
Those axles are bent at the factory on purpose so that a very heavy boat will actually just flatten it out without bending it the other way! Kinda the same reason new heavy flat bed trailers are arched
i just watched a video on this boast it seems those flaps create a huge wake for water sports...thats really awesome.
Hear that whistle?
See that smoke?
You just broke your powerstroke.

It dose look like it was not badly damaged. I did not realize boats like these were that much money $60 K . .They so much electronics .Twenty three feet is a big boat. Thank you for sharing. I to bought a boat years ago and restored my self. It was a 16 foot Tahiti. So I know what you gone threw.
The boat is registered to Geico Marine Insurance Co.
8725 IH 35 N
New Braunfels TX. 78130
They might have the code you need.
Try also laying on your back and looking under the dash and see if it's written in there somewhere.
phartattack
Wow Geico? They never took care of that boat owners were obviously crackheads. I bet they jumped for joy when it was totaled and partied for a week.
Friend of mine used to work for one of those boating companies up here in Maine. Lots of Fiberglass work and stuff
did anyone notice half the rotor missing @ 0:13
not until you pointed it out - good eye
Oh damn...
I saw it and really couldn't tell if that is broken or normal I figured he woulda said something if it was broken
Holy shit,that rotor fucked.
holy shit lol
as a boat owner , i can tell you what the best 2 days of a boaters life is...... the day he buys a boat and the day he sells it..
Good luck with the huge crack you will be repairing that crack every other time you take it on the water.
not if its done correctly
Have you heard about flex glue ??? Lmao
Axles are fine man. Alot of good axle makers make them with a little bit of a bow to settle in when loaded. Its totally normal. Good video, dont sweat the haters and do what makes u happy.
Nice haul!
Can't wait to see the next episode!!!
You should be able to move the tie down on the front of the trailer farther forward on the neck to give you the space needed to get the boat completely on the trailer.
Very good price for that Nautique 230? Very important that you get a proper Nautique trailer, they're wider than Malibu boats from my knowledge and they're designed to sit higher and over the trailer arches. That's part of the reason your guides scraped along the side. Best bet for parts is to contact the Nautique factory?
The reason the trailer was not included with it is because those trailers are usually worth at least several thousand dollars for their custom fit. And they’re not going to just put that in with the boat that flooded. Best advice I could give you is to try and see if you can look up the previous owners of the boat and see if by chance they still have a boat trailer they’re trying to sell because they’re trying to make some money off of it.
Welcome to the wonderful world of never ending boat maintenance . LOL . If you love working on boats you will be very happy!
B.o.a.t= bust out another thousand 😂😂😂...been there!
I’m a mercury dealer and Volvo. I own a boat and yacht repair. .. that boat is a score since it’s prolly around 140k or more new If the engine isn’t siezed u scored. That fiberglass work ain’t nothing and mostly the windshield is gonna be the most expensive.. also the code is easy call them they will give u it I replaced one of those before and they gave me one for a unit I bought new.
That boat goes used for 80k so figure 23k to buy and then dumping another 20 grand in repairs and man power and he's still has plenty a room to make a profit if selling. If he's keeping it than he saved himself 40k.
I don’t remember ever subbing to you.. but after seeing this I’m glad I did.
Love watching your co part and rebuilding vids!!
Wow the entire 70k boat was underwater except the $400 navigator. Glad you’re super stoked about that
I think he's just happy about anything that will save him money at this point
Tower damage is probably because the boat was in a lift. When the water level went up the boat gets jacked up into the lift or boat house crushing the tower/windshield.
I think you are 100% correct . That explains the damage for sure !
lax4321 it’s a giant previously submerged wrecked piece of crap. There are so many ways that things WILL go wrong.
Call the factory in Vonore Tennessee they can get you the parts you need. The windshield will be tuff as they are only built to order.
Also his truck is NOT in First gear. The shift indicator is broken. Happens in a lot of Ford trucks.
Only the 6 0s
No. I had a 4.0 Ranger and a 5.4 F150 do the same thing. They all use the same plastic bracket for the shift indicator cable.
I have 2 5.4 f150s and a 5.4 in my z none of them have a plastic part on the shifter with the exception of the module itself. Which if broke. Wont shift. I literally just checked both factory trucks
Texas you say. That is one of the Llano Texas boats you bought. The Llano River rose to nearly 40 feet above normal Tuesday in the city of Llano. About 35 feet higher than it was just 24 hours earlier. Thanks to 8 to 10 inches of rain that fell in the area over two days. Huge amount of boats got nuked. Tons of wakeboard boats and ski boats there.
Check engine light may be on cause your doing 60 mph in first gear...
Glad you're excited, at least. Good luck.
I can't see spending that on a wrecked boat but I know that is a very exspensive wake board boat so it will be fun to see the rebiuld
How much did he pay for it?
22,900 ... WOW
Actually never seen a boat motor like that. Very cool
*Begins repairing boat with dried noodles.
Looking forward to this build!
A $120 engine hoist from harbor freight could have done same thing as that wrecker did. I just switched my boat from one trailer to another in my front yard using the engine hoist.
Nice I work at this yard 62 awesome nice boat man
You dont pull a light trailer in Low on flat land. Just read your user manual for towing instructions.
Wow what a dumbass!
I love the boat rebuilt videos they're really awesome
Dude, tell me that you did not pay $22.9K for that pile of fiberglass?!!!
@nallen100 NOT with a SALVAGE title they don't!! That motor is likely junk. That thing was under water for a while. Did you not see the rust on the dipstick? If he fixes it right, "Back to OEM" He's going to have as much or more than the price of a mint condition boat that doesn't have a damn salvage title The tower for that boat probably costs 12 grand. Good luck
nallen100 try 120
I had to rewind when I heard the number the first time. He might as well keep the trailer and sell them together, but only at 11 o'clock at night.
I said the same thing!!!!
Hahaha
Should be an interesting resto, lovely boat
Great video mate liking how this will go . You don't get nice things like boats on copart UK. Good luck bro much love from the UK
Looks like a fun project cant wait to see it all done.
I had to use the same guy to load my boat on my trailer at this auction. Pretty nice guy (the wrecker man) but he is making so much money off these boats
Wow ! $22.9 k is in my book a lot of green backs ! Even for what could be a sweet boat ! I own 6 boats and if you added there worth it ain’t close to that and I’m counting the motors also! Lol. By the time you get her done your into it for 26 k and that trailer is fully adjustable to fit it just move that mast forward bend the centering poles and adjust the bunks ! I’m sure you’ve done that before! That trailer might be salvageable!
Water in the oil, engine teardown and inspection of the bottom end.
Screw that.
Change oil, start, listen for noise, sell sell sell!
So how did they get the boats to those spots in the yard? Hogwarts magic?
wcresponder how much did the other boats sell for .?
Well say similar boats
Dang, looks like someone took that Nautique under a low bridge
I'd de-cap it. Remove the top half from the bottom at the seam, then do structural fiberglass repairs with the top turned upside down. Then body work the outside. A new windshield and frame won't be cheap. I've done those rebuilds, lots of work. If you can get to the needed repair areas from underneath you might avoid having to de-cap it. But won't be an easy job. I wouldn't have paid more than $200 for it knowing how much work it will be to fix it.
Are you insane. I hope you meant twenty two hundred. If you paid twenty thousand dollars for that boat I have a whole lot of bad news for you.
That trailer is plenty big, you have all kinds of tongue left , move your crank forward. If that one wont go forward ditch it and get a normal one that clamps on to your tongue beam. Looks like it can go up at least 3 ft.
Super Boat?? I was thinking of a 35' to 45'+ boat combined 800HP+... - disappointed..
That’s a $100K boat
@@UKMarkPope That boat is NOT a Super Boat. Super Boats cost three to four hundred thousand and up...
OuterLimit boats cost over a million. What’s your point?Read the side of the boat dipper. It’s a SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE
@@UKMarkPope I have worked on $10 million Superboats. Just because it says "SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE" on the boat doesn't mean it should be in the Superboat class.
A KB Ok dipper. Let’s try this one more time. HE USED THE NAME IN THE TITLE. Nowhere does he say it’s the class. Just that it’s a Super.
Also if the engine is rooted put the new PCM 350hp in I think it's called the High Five or something. They're only $10,000-20,000 new depending on who you buy it from. PCMs are also chevy/GM based engines and Indimar are new Ford based. Mercruiser are also GM based engines.
MEGASQUIRT.......
That’s limp mode your truck was doing.
🐁 running for it's life @ 2:51.
Something tells me he has no idea what he's doing
It's what you CAN'T see.... stringers, delamination, water migration...
He really didn't need to hire a wrecker either.
This guy is Arabic and wanting something for nothing..He is gonna wax it call it good and expect 100,000.
Their is silt on the upper engine hoses..that entire engine was under water
And it wasn't drained. He said it had water in the oil....... "not much though". Any water left in the bores is a bad, bad deal. He paid $22K for a $500 boat.
That interior is in better shape than half the boats I looked at. People want ridiculous money for boats with rotted out interiors and bad motors. You definitely took on a bigger project than mine. I've had my boat a few months and have put a ton of hours into it. Nothing is costing me a lot of money it's all nickel and dime stuff. Just a lot of labor and ingenuity. My boat was in like new shape compared to that one.
Looked like there was also water on the engine dipstick that jumped off. Trailer axel maybe you could fix and keep the trailer to buy another boat😄
Menno Boon 0
Boat trailer axles are supposed to be like that. If they were straight the boat would have to sit higher making it harder to launch.
Do you have tow mode in and did you lock your front hubs depending on the year so you can switch between high and low but not out of 4 wheel drive if you're towing something heavy have a 6.8 non diesel and it does the same thing with RPMs and if you were having that fluctuation between 45 and 55 that's why I don't know why your check engine light is on
22 thousand-------this guys got to be out of his god dammed mind. How about maybe 3 grand tops.
Kelly Lamb msrp on g series is around 160k
Crazycatman I was mistaken on msrp I thought this was a g23 but it’s a SAN 230 I think msrp is closer to 100k after it’s done even if he is in it for around 50k he should clear a decent amount
I used to do engine failure analysis for a large production engine re-builder and found that just one small rust pit on a valve spring can cause it to break at that point.
Lovely boat I'm sure you will get it good as new can't wait for the next video
Why all the picky criticism? This guy kicks ass. Fun problem solving!
Was the engine under water is the question , hydrolocked
I'd love to see whoever you bought that boat from show how flooding can tear cracks like that into fiberglass, cause they must have a much different definition of flooding
Code is most likely same from dealer 1234 or 0000. People rarely take the time to reset them.
6.0 isn't bad. Also a bafx adapter and tourqe pro with an android tablet is cheap and you can do most diagnostic and monitoring you need.
