Sorry for your loss! I was in Vantaa for Juhannus at a cottage in Marjasaari with my sis and her family:) I was astonished to understand more and more of the Finnish they speak. I could talk myself but I get so super shy about mistakes 😅 Btw my sis and me went to Käärijä too! We were at the VIP stage, it was us shouting Saksa all the time haha ! Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I believe that in New York state there is currently flooding, so be careful. Hyvää kesää and an early Hyvää syntymäpäivää. I used up my vacation days(hours actually) so I am working, however I work 4 on 4 off 3 on 3 off so as a minimum I have a 3 day weekend. 12 hour days so not too much time to get things done before sunset on the days I work. My deepest condolences, I am so sorry for your loss... I wish you a good trip, I hope you find something positive there to do... No plans, actually. Maybe we go to the lake (it's in 5 bus stops) or a weekend trip somewhere, but we didn't plan any far travels, and no energy to plan

Something i have seen in other language teaching videos is to run the video twice, the first time without a translation then a second time with a translation so we can try it first without relying too much on the translation. (If your hearing is good enough then you can turn off the subtitles of course but some of us use subtitles in our own language as well so it would be nice to see Finnish only before including the English translation. It’s not something you must do but a suggestion you might find useful. Thank you :)
