Thanks so much brother for the find words! Everyone can get there to be able to play and sing - it's a matter of practice and time, and we're all on our own individual journey along the way...
Thanks for checking out the video! That's great you saw Chicago back in their prime in the 70's. I think 1978 is the year Terry Kath tragically died. I've seen Chicago once, but it was recently, around 2020.
Chicago was probably the most complete Rock ever! Three singers that could cover all the levels of the grand staff, RL was a great singer. Terry Kath ruled! Great lesson, Man!
Wow... incredible Luke... you really captured those beautiful chords that gave that authentic Chicago feel...!!! Really nice performance and tutorial...!!! Thx for sharing and looking forward to seeing your next video. ~Love from Jess~ ❤️😊🎸🎤💕👍
Thanks so much Jess! Your guitar skills are much better than mine, so I am very happy to hear from you that I made the grade for the Chicago feel on this song! Always look forward to hearing your next music project! 🙏😁🧡🎸
Great teacher!!! You're a complete musician! I think I already said that, but you are Phil Collins style, play all instruments and sing very well!!! Congrats! 😁👍🎵🎶👏👏👏👏👏

Luke I’m honest. I didn’t still watch your Video complete yet. But I saw your guitar playing and listened to when you started singing after about one Minute. Just take my like Dude - it sounds great 👍🙋♂️
Thank you Hepti! I didn't expect friends to watch the whole video, and the tutorials are long, about 15 min. But I am very happy to get the Hepti approval! 😁
Chicago I ...great song !!! Fantastic album : Luke , you're made a beautiful guitar tutorial , but what struck me is your voice when you sing it, really great. Cheers our beatle bro , Carlo & CBB
Carlo & CBB - thank you so much! Chicago is one of my all time favorite bands, as I know it is for you too Carlo (you have awesome taste in music)! Really appreciate you comment on the vocals, as Chicago is a big influence of mine!
Great cover at the start! You are a good teacher. The hardest part for me is remembering the order. I like to print out the lyrics and put the corresponding chord right above the word where that chord is in the song. You explain the chords well, so it would be a doable song in no time. I really like the sound of the chords!
autocrow - thank you man! I do the same thing, I call them "song sheets" and I make them in M.S. Word in a table, with rows labeled "verse 1", "chorus", etc. with the lyrics, then print them and put the cords above the lyrics in the right places - same as you. Thanks for the awesome comment and glad you like the arrangement! 😁
Wow Luke!👍👍👍 Really a very beautiful rendition and great tutorial of this great Chicago classic! 👏👏👏 Love it 👌👌👌 Keep up your awesome work! 👍👍👍 All the best wishes from Austria 🇦🇹 Cheers Hermann 🎸🎙🎶
Samuele, thank you my friend! Chicago is a big influence for me, so really enjoyed making these tutorials. Speaking of which - I think we are about due for a new video from you my friend - I look forward to your next release!
What a savvy song tutorial on complex chord fragments and tall chords. Your rendition of the song is a plus! What more can we ask for? Thank you for sharing, Luke...
Ann, thank you so much for your awesome comment! Really appreciate your support! I am going to have to request a new music video post on your channel - your other videos are awesome! 😁
nice choice of band and great tone that sounds so bright and pleasing to the ear when you play! as a guitarist for bk trailers lookin for inspiration, your instruction here is so good since your playing so emotive and captivating with a good steady beat. Nice work explaining fingering and beats while accounting for rests, so good work with clear directions!
Hi Dorothy - thanks for stopping by! I was impressed with you comment - it was spot on, with Chicago's rests / beats, etc. Thanks so much for the kind words and awesome comment! 😁🙏
JJ-UK thanks so much for the kind words and for checking out the tutorial! This one is a higher difficulty song but a lot of fun to play on acoustic! 😁

Yes, I totally agree - Chicago were musicians' musicians, just great original songwriting with a lot of variety and depth to their chords! This was 2 of 3, I have one more Chicago tutorial planned (hopefully if I can pull it off)...hope you will like the song choice! And...it looks like it your turn again...let's have it mate! 😁🎵🎸
Big smile on my face Luke! The pressure is on. 😀 I would be near ready to upload a song now but I'm trying to record a 'school anthem' musical backing for my Sister-in-Law, and I haven't used Logic Pro X for a few years and it seems to have changed so much that I am having trouble getting what should be an easy task, done, and it's doing my head in. 🙄 Ahh! Cool Excellent lesson! ...and playing and singing are also awesome! I was getting into the song and then you broke off for the lesson..lol Great posting Luke! Like 2! ...Alan
Great lesson Luke! Creating a lesson like this must take a lot of work and preparation and I can imagine the video edit took a while too! Lots of interesting chords here that I'll need to come back and review some time. Thanks for sharing your Chicago knowledge, I hope lots of people see this and find it useful! I'm currently working on a Chicago vocal medley, the best bits of 5 songs in one video, that's quite a big task too 😅🤯
Alex B - thanks so much my friend! I would say the video shooting wasn't too bad, especially since it's just one track. However, the video editing (updating the tab on all of the chord changes, that took a while to finish 😲)! Still, Chicago is a huge influence on me, so really enjoyed making these videos - 1 more planned. Really looking forward to hearing your Chicago medley! 5 Chicago songs - that's gonna be awesome! 😁🎵🤙
@@LukeMcHale Yeah, those chord changes and tab, I was thinking that must have took some patience to do! 😬 Oh and to correct myself, it's actually 4 Chicago songs and one Cetera solo song (Spoiler - The Glory Of Love) 😉
Not a song I'd try (too $£%& hard!!) but I loved your performance of it - also enjoy the fact you've chosen two, recently, by my second fav group of all time (after the Eagles). Great stuff man! 😊
Derrick - you have really great taste in music! Chicago is also probably my #2 favorite band of all time - I would probably put Beatles first (although i'm a huge eagle's fan too)!
Wow, you sing and play... now I get the capo, thank you man you have some talent, the kind we all wish we had, great work thank you, sir.
