- The Pokemon series includes hundreds upon hundreds of moves, but today I thought I'd throw my own hat into the ring. Here are 31 Pokemon moves I made up. Leave a comment with your own move ideas, which I might go over in a future video.

And then GameFreak introduced Supercell Slam, which, you guessed it… has a really bad drawback
Seems like the only good physical Electric moves are reserved for Legendaries, Mythicals, and Pikachu
I like the idea of a steel type move called coin flip where u have a 50% chance to raise all stats
I feel like that might be a little too luck-based and too prone to a sweep 50% of the time.
The One-Hit KO moves only hit 30% of the time, they only knock out one Pokémon, and they don't buff a Pokémon potentially to the point of a win condition.
Maybe if you gave it a lower chance of success (although, you'd have to call it, like, Dice Roll). But at that point, it might not be worth using.
@@Socioromanticism 3 months ago but yeah. Additionally it could also be a chance to lower all stats along with the chance to do nothing, but at that point, it would be a possible rare, niche move in VGC.
The downside could be on the lose, the opponent gets the buff.
literally jirachi:
A better downside than just nothing happening:
If the move doesn't flip the right side, the user's stats are lowered instead of raised.
Psy kick was an idea i had for a while
Winter shed: The user loses the grass type and raises it's speed two stages. (Like trees in fall when leaves fall)
Like roost but for speed
This move has the hidden mechanic of turning Sawsbuck into its Winter form instantly.
You Lose wouldn't make Zacian any more unbalanced tbh
*clicks taunt*
Man I love custom move ideas it's always so fun. Here's one I thought up a while ago
Perish Cry, Fighting type, Status
5 PP, Power --, Accuracy --%
The user raises all of their stats (by one stage), but will faint in three turns unless it switches out of battle.
Maybe raise them by two stages to make it worth it.
The stat raise would go away in 3 turns
@@keylimepython641that would be broken
@@Mynameishassan0 Well, it needs to do something more than raise the stats by one stage, because No Retreat and Clangerous Soul do that with drawbacks less severe than killing you in three turns.
They really need to get rid of Freeze and replace it with Frostbite. Keep the low chances and buff it if the user is Ice type (and only Ice types gain the increased chance under Snow) that way Water types keep their coverage without going ham on the status.
These are some fun and creative ideas!
Some moves I've thought of...
Heat Lightning - Electric type Special move with 70 power and 100 Accuraccy, 10% to either Burn or Paralyze, and gets a 50% boost from sunlight. Designed to be a coverage move for Fire-types.
and in the same vein
Pyrokinesis - Fire-type Special move with 80 power and 100 Accuracy, 10% to either Burn or Confuse, and gets a 30% boost from Psychic Terrain.
Super Spark - Electric-type Physical move that's basically physical Thunderbolt. Wild Charge and Volt Tackle would each get a 10 point power buff.
Stampede - Normal-type Physical move that damages all opposing Pokemon. Its power is 25 x the number of concious party members.
Heel Crush - Rock-type Physical move with 70 power, 100 Accuracy, and a 30% chance to lower the target's Defense. Created with hoofed Pokemon in mind.
Galestorm - Wind-based Flying-type Special move with 80 power, 100 Accuracy and damages all surrounding Pokemon. Will move any hazards on the user's side to the opponent's.
I had a interesting idea for Giant Slayer that plays into a relatively new mechanic:
Depending on the opposing Pokémons *size*, the attack does more damage.
I agree
Sadly, Wild Charge needs to have low power because PC's special child Pikachu absolutely needs to have Voltakle at 120 damage...
Despite the fact that the anime and marketing department abandoned Voltakle ages ago.
Fuck it, buff Volt Tackle. It's not like Pikachu is even good.
Dust devil: A ground type attack that is super effective against flying type Pokémon.
Funnily enough, I also came up with a move called Dust Devil, except mine is a forced switch-out move in the style of Dragon Tail and Circle Throw
Crash test wall: A rock type counter attack that damages the opponent more based on how fast the opponent is.
We need that move
9:53: (insert Super Mario 64 sounds here)
Fun. Of the many ideas I've had in my lifetime, here's one that I think would actually be viable in high-level competitive:
Guard Drop
Type: Fighting
Power Rate: 80
Power Points: 15
Accuracy: 100%
Basically the opposite of Psyshock. It's a physical move, but hits the opponent's Special Defense.
Electric fence: paralyse opponent pokemon upon switching. First exit hazard move.
Obliteration Spin: Water type Physical, Contact, Biting move 90 BP, 10 PP
Clamps down on the target and pulls it into the water preventing escape. The spinning motion wears down the target, reducing it's DEF by 1 stage per turn.
Feraligatr signature move
Shimmer: Fire type Special. 80 BP 5 PP
Damages all adjacent Pokemon. Creates an illusion that takes damage for the user for maximum of 5 turns or until its HP (based on user's SATK) is used up.
Johto Typhlosion signature move
I think instead of making straight up better versions of physical moves that we just buff the already existing ones
Move idea:
GUN
Type:steel accuracy:100% power:1000
The user says screw it and pulls out a glock
I once thought of a rock type priority move called Boulder Dash. It's a pun on the word balderdash, which is normally used to describe something as ridiculous; such as a fast moving rock.
Adrenaline a fighting type move that increases attack and speed by one state
I know I'm a month late but 'Psy Kick' is actually a really good move name BECAUSE of the pun value from it sounding like 'Psychic'
Since Hidden Power doesn’t exist anymore, and Tera Blast won’t either beyond Gen 9, I feel like some mons are in need of special coverage moves. One move I came up with for this is Hailstorm, and 70 base power Ice-type Special attack that becomes 50% stronger when used in the Rain, since hail spawns in thunderstorms. In addition to being on Water and Ice-types, this would serve as a move for Electric-type special attackers to use like Hidden Power Ice. I had thought of a physical Fire-type counterpart to be learned by Grass-types, but wouldn’t know what to make its added affect, since Sun boosts the move by 50% anyway.
Another move I came up with I called Evolution Beam. It’a a Normal-type Special attack tbat starts at 60 BP, but also gets 50% stronger with each evolution. (60 BP stage 1, 90 BP stage 2, 120 BP stage 3). This exists entirely to break Porygon-Z.
These are all really cool! Would love to see at least some of these in future gens. Any reason pokemon just dunked on physical attackers or they just get unluckly lol
The only thing I want to know is what would the animations for these moves look like?
My idea was to give Quagsire a signature move called “Belly Flop”.
A 60bp phys water move that set up rain when it hits
I once had a dream there was a Pokémon move called Brainrot. It was basically a psychic type version of Draco Meteor
Obi Wan: “It’s over Anakin! Gallade use High Ground!”
Cloak dagger: a dark type counter attack that does more damage than the other counter attacks but I can only counter attacks that involve cutting/stabbing.
Fair play should be called Gaslight
Dark Ritual: The user maximizes its Special Attack stat in exchange for HP equal to half its max HP.
Taming: The objective becomes a normal type and it's attack is reduced by one stage.
Sounds very cool and more like an ability
@@Yersok If intimidate is already busted imagine losing STAB
if only strenght was a rock type move, it often depicted throwing a boulder
4:05 Well now you just reminded me of the V Is For Vacation episode of Word World.
Drum Roll, Steel type Physical. 50 BP, 10 PP
Hits all opponents twice. First hit removes hazards on the user's side, second hit damages opponent as a Sound move and boost user's SPE.
I call one I came up, "Echo Power," where the more sound based moves are used, the stronger this attack becomes. Kinda like Stored Power and Power Trip, but without having to raise stats SMH another fire type attack called, "Molten Blast" Super effective against everything since magma melts a lot but does heavy recoil cause you're using magma
Rejuvenating Breath: Grass Special, 90 BP 10 PP
Deal SE damage on Dark and Poison type Pokemon. Heals 1/3 HP and cures statuses when used on ally
Meganium signature move
Sky Uppercut could've easily been pre-High Ground. It would've been a great move to keep over possibly super power or close combat. Or even rock slide/rock tomb for Blaziken.
Objection: The user objects to the target's stat changes, negating them and reverting the target back to their base power. Give a move like this to a bulky mon and you have a defensive utility/pivot with the additional perk of being a setup stopper. Throw it in to take a hit and deny an opponent's stat boosts to stop them from snowballing the game. Stall and Defensive Teams may like this one
So… haze?
Calcify: A water type move that can turn grass type Pokémon into rock types.
Flash-Tackle
Physical
Type: Electric
Base Power: 65
Accuracy: 100
Priority: +1
Effect: uses the Users Speed instead of Attack to calculate damage.
List of all Electric-Type Pokémons, that can't learn Flash-Tackle:
Regieleki
I've wanted Spoon Bend to be a thing for the longest time.
I made up a move myself called Electro blade the user charging a blade of electricity and unleashes the target next turn it will immediately charge on rain it a mixture of Solar blade and electro shot
Power:125
Accuracy:100
Type:Electric
If it used on electric terrain it has a 50% chance to paralyze the target
I’ll give you V Formation only if we get an Ice Type hockey-themed Farfetch’d that can learn it.
Pressure stream: A water type move that is super effective against steel type Pokémon.
Bro is making like a million op moves ngl
Here's some Moves I made
Majestic Slam, Fairy Type, Physical, 95 Base Power, 100% Accurate, 10 PP, Drops the Target's speed by 1 stage
Terror Tantrum, Ghost Type, Physical, 120 Base Power, 100% Accurate, 10 PP, Continues to 2-3 turns then Confuses the User
Choke Hold, Fighting Type, Physical, 80 Base Power, 100% Accurate, 10 PP, Target can't use Sound based Moves
Mind Find, Psychic, Status, 100% Accurate, 5 PP, Finds out Next Attack and Dodges it, Fails when the Target doesn't attack
Toxic Kick, Poison, Physical, 100 Base Power, 90% Accurate, 15 PP, 10% Chance to Poison the Target, If Miss then has 33% Recoil Damage
Still surprised theres no like pressure washer move, especially for like Blastoise, that does super effective damage to steel types
There’s a roblox game called doodle world which has a move called rust which does this exact thing. Is it really that hard to add?
Roulette should definitely be on a Pokémon with Simple
I really like the name of that move, fair play
Fair play was a great play on words
Love fired up
Psy kick is actually genious
Poison Ivy: 80 damage and has a 30% chance of causing Poison Status.
The user ensnares the opponent using poisonous vines. This may cause the opponent to become poisoned.
Could this be used in fan games?
I mean I don't see why not
anyone talking about boulder bash
iron boulder,
new move
physical
rock
95 bp
100 accuracy
wow thats pretty close
What if there was a move that caused 100% freeze
ITS OVER STARAPTOR. I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND!
Ayo weed whack?
GROUND POUND?!/!?!AYOO
Shadow fangs

Not too bad over all. But my guy, you talk waaaay too fast. Had to slow the video down to 0.75x speed just to understand what was going on.
