I bought my BB Pro last year. It's my first luxury watch and so I have no idea if it's too think in comparison to other watches. It wears really well on my wrist and it's just gorgeous! The bracelet is fantastic, giving plenty of room to adjust each day depending on the temperature. Love it!

Great review. Got one a month ago and absolutely love it. Just trying to get a feel for how real ones feel about it. She thick for sure, but it’s amazing and feels nice on wrist, most of the time.

I think this is a watch you will appreciate more and more after time. It looks like a journey watch if you go for a long walk or when ther is storm or something this watch looks so strong it has something. Comparing with a tudor pelagos would be interesting i think. If they can make a thinner black bay pro that would be interesting to and add some gold in the dial or pointer(like a nice gold logo). I hope tudor wont end up like rolex where you habe to wait for years.. Its going that direction.

I've tried one on in the flesh, and it's really not that thick. There is a 4-6 week wait to get a BB Pro here. With all the watch craze stagnating, I doubt "it's going that direction"

Thank you for being honest about the usefulness of the date window. I am a service tech and the date complication is very important to me. So in my opinion, the thickness trade off is no problem. I use my watches as tool watches, and not as fashion accessories. This piece is on my short list and I really like this one. Great video and honest review. Thanks.

Think I'll pick up one of these next year as prices continue to drop. They're already available for less than retail on the pre-owned market and by next year I expect them to be even less.
Excellent video, I collected my BB Pro from my local AD 3 days ago, I only enquired about it 2 months ago. Whilst I was there they offered me a panda chrono at the same time........I just couldn't pull the trigger on both watches 😪😪

People have to buy the watches that work for them, but I bought the newest version of the Polar Explorer II and I am over the moon with the watch. For my 7.25 wrist, it's just right. Yes, the BB Pro has a smaller case and the lug to lug is smaller, but that's a thick watch and that kind of thickness, IMO, work better on a bigger watch...like the new BB GMT Rootbeer...which is the one I would get if I was gonna pick between them. I'd get it on the leather strap, though. Just my opinion. I decided to go with the new Longines Spirit Zulu Time.

Great comparison video to the Explorer 40mm , as you said though at least us punters can actually buy the BB pro so that alone puts it in my target list for next purchase

Not sure the thickness is necessarily a trade off from the GMT and date functions. Take the Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT: comes with a date function and sits at 11.8mm thick. Obviously it is not a ‘true’ GMT and the movement is a third party Sellita, but they got it done. In another category the GMT master II, albeit 40mm, sits at 12mm thick.
But as a Grand Seiko Spring Drive enthusiast (including a GMT one), 14.5mm is smth Ive had to get used to :)

BB pro is nice. Explorer II 16570 is the watch where Tudor one day should make or Rolex should re-make. The hype for pro is for the moment, still strong :)
Yes I would love it, if they went towards the 5 digits Rolex‘s!
On closer inspection of the clasp extension system. The row of small holes don’t actually serve a purpose. The actual locking system is a thin wide groove on the underside. These smaller holes are a mystery.
There are no small holes on the side, only on the BB58
@@davidzed7952 No the small machined indentations on the inside of the clasp. (not the micro adjustment holes on the sides)

Seen dealers trying to sale them on the internet for 25% more sorry guys all the AD for high end watches need a reality check.

It's a year from the release. Called the AD and they have a waiting list. A waiting list for a Tudor? Yeah, sure. Have a good one. Bought it brand new, under retail in grey market. They even dropped the two additional straps. Not playing that bs game.

There are reviews coming out about unreliability of the date function of the Tudor black bay pro. It seems that is not that robust.
Mine changes as an instant flick at three minutes past midnight, it’s a brilliant movement, runs better than -0.5 secs per day which is better than my 3 Rolex watches.
Does the bracelet fit the BB58?

However, I was disappointed when I saw it in person a couple weeks ago. The Tudor boutique in NYC only has it on nato strap and no magnified date like the Explorer. Had it had a magnified date I would have bought it and ordered the bracelet separately.
I don‘t think that Tudor will add a magnified date in the near future, it’s just too Rolex.
@@davidzed7952 you may be right. But, I for one would not be surprised if they did. Originally, many Tudor models had a cyclops. So anything is possible...
Nice video. I love the self-discipline of their designers to NOT place all those lame intermediate chapters between the minute chapters; a nice, clean, and uncluttered dial is the result.
what a shame they couldnt reduce the thickness - OR (better still) make the case 41mm - that way the thickness is in more proportion. It just looks wrong with these proportions. Tudor have really missed an open goal on this one....
Or you are smart and buy the Steinhart Vintage Ocean GMT.
My friend bought this watch ⌚ and the one's who say it's not thick are bull shiting themselves. It's thick as hell personally the only Tudor that catches my eye is the Pelagos
The Pelagos is nice, but the diameter and lug to lug is a bit too large for me
@@davidzed7952 The one diver I love right now is the Longines Ultra chron diver with a high beat movement 👌 and cushion case so it will wear smaller

I own a bb gmt pepsi and don't see a reason to buy the pro with a fixed bezel
Yeah, the fixed bezel is not as useful as the rotating bezel
If they ever make the Tudor BB Pro with a white dial, I really might just sell all my watches for one.
Can't justify a Rolex Explorer II polar dial but I can a Tudor BB Pro.

Also worth noting is that Tudor went to great lengths to make sure the bracelet and clasp are not interchangeable with the BB58. God only knows why. Seems like a scumbag move. They could have put that rnd towards making it slimmer instead.

Yep only downside is the thickness, but as I said in the video, they cannot fix it until they develop a new movement

For me, compared to the Tudor GMT, it's not as good looking. It looks a lot more "tooly" and not as versatile. YMMV.
I also like the look of the Tudor GMT a bit more, but I already have a Pepsi GMT, that‘s why I didn’t pull the trigger on the Tudor. Maybe the twotone one day, but right now I‘m happy with the pro

I’m still wearing one a year later, choose to wear it regularly over my 3 Rolex watches plus I have thicker watches, G Shocks & a Tissot T Race chrono. Never thought they were too thick and nor is the BB Pro. Non issue.

The thickness and those ugly rivets on the side of the bracelet which has no functionality and no purpose whatsoever. It's an eyesore and definitely a deal-breaker for me. What were you thinking Tudor!? They weren't. UGH!... NO RIVETS! NO RIVETS! NO RIVETS! WHY!?
