You just solved my problem with drilling a hole in my floor. Window jumper it is. Thank you.
Wonderfully informative and so very well presented! '73 Brian! (AND) thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Looked at these years ago. But reviews back then mentioned how fragile the ribbon was. Opening and closing a window eventually broke the ribbon/cable. Good luck with yours.
good job Brian 73
Good option to drilling holes etc. I have always been curious as to how well the jumpers work.
At the moment, I have three working great. I tested with and without the jumpers for SWR and in one case the numbers was better (2M) and on the other 2 it was about the same. Thanks for the comments!
I would have like to see actual swr testing before and after.
I just recently retested the connectivity between the antenna and the window jumper for another video and it was actually lower than without the windows jumper, about 1.1SWR. So I'm really happy with these.
Come on! We are hams and don’t have any problem drilling holes anywhere that helps us get on the air. The only limitation is the XYL. If she can’t see it then it’s OK. Ha!

It would be nice if you did a HF test of swr and power using this jumper. WB4IZC
You need to use double sided tape on the ribbon to hold it tight in place so over time it doesn’t get worn or mangled!!!!
Good video.
Just passed exam waiting on call sign. Starting out with H/T, and looking at options for mobile use of H/T.
Any thoughts on using one of these jumpers in a mobile situation to get coax out to antenna?
Have company vehicle which limits my options to a good mag-mount and H/T

Hey GG, I would think about getting a decent magnetic mount antenna for 2M/70CM. There are many to choose from and I'm sure you can do some research to find one with great reviews that doesn't cost very much. I bought my first antenna at the Lexington HAMFest. Congratulations and looking forward to you participating on the Nets.
@@LCARAHAMRadio Just found and interesting option - the MFJ 310 window clip. Considering combining that with an upgraded comet or diamond h/t antenna.
How many watts can these handle?
@Gabe Lanz - 100W PEP
I can't see paying over $50 for one of those. A hole through the wall is considerably cheaper.
