Ok Im a huge SW fan and have many reactors I watch regularly, but some of them are reacting to this series just because it is popular, which it is not the same at all, but watching guys like you that get every detail a fan gets it is awesome and very enjoyable to experience!! Love your dynamic and the very obvious love for SW.
Fun easter egg in the show is the model spaceship Obi Wan left for Luke is a T-16 Skyhopper. The kind of ship Luke mentions shooting womp rats in as a teen.
The two episodes are just incredible, so nastolgia, Obi-Wan is excellent, Sung Kang in the inquisitor makeup at first did not even recognize, but Vader at the end of the second series is simply amazing
Three things everyone seems to be overlooking. 1. The Grand Inquisitor is a title, not a name. 2. Kanan fought 3 temple guards in his force vision. 3. The Grand Inquisitor was a former jedi temple guard. I think all three temple guards Kanan fought were in fact brothers, all the same species and each served as the Grand Inquisitor at one point each replacing the other after death. There are at least three Grand Inquisitors total. Reva killed the first, maybe second (we'll see about that in Jedi Survivor) and the third falls in Rebels season 1.
Thoughts. The chase scenes with Leia seemed super forced like "ok run really slow so you don't catch her and run into this branch super awkwardly" Reva writing isn't horrible but the acting seems super forced which makes it kind of annoying and distracting. I wish she didn't know Vader was Anakin and that obi wan didn't hear the news from her, way cooler ways he could have figured that out. All the stuff with Ewan was great, seeing Alderaan finally, makes what happens in episode 4 super heavy. Puts a real face to the tragedy.
There arent more logical ways to discover Anakin is alive withou it feeling either forced or ilogical. Chase scene was like that to show her latent Force abilities. Reva is somewhat forced that that could be excused by emotional turmoil and impatience. I know some people whose behavior is often forced. It could be that she is insecure that she needt to "act inf ront of others,
Why isn't leia showing any fear whats so ever when she get chased/kidnapped and almost falling to her death, like her face is like this 😐 for most of the episodes like get a better actor that can show fear and being scared when she is kidnapped by total stranger and falling to certain death.
good thing kenobi's master has experience rescuing kidnapped children with his "special set of skills". he must've learned something about that from him. 😄
Not many people know Anakin is Vader. Leia isn’t publicly exposed to be Vader’s daughter till she’s a senator and Ben Solo had found out his grandfather was Vader in his late teens. So few people know that Anakin is alive. The Grand Inquisitor is not dead. He’s got more scenes from the trailers that we haven’t seen yet. Maybe he will get a mechanical stomach like Fennec... gotta find those quirky modders. Also in an interview Haden said there are tiny remnants of Anakin still inside Vader, so he’s not Vader from Rogue One. There are tiny flecks of light side streaking through Anakins soul.
I am star wars fan since 1977. Went to see at drive in with parents and brother. Vermont drive in (Los Angeles). Can't tell you two how refreshing it is to watch you two. And go through the series. Keep it going. Good content. ~Salute~
Vaders lack of empathy and sympathy is what made him a great villain. No bullshit, straight to the point. Complete opposite of Anakin... and in ANH it's implied that Obi Wan and Vader haven't met since Mustafar
there is an explanation in the comics for the grand inquisitor. Remember his quote from Rebels "there are fates worse than death?". This is a huge hint to it.
We've seen Darth Maul come back from being bisected, Anakin come back from lava and loss of limbs, Boba Fett come back from digestion, and the Emperor come back from exploding, so it's not clear yet if the Grand Inquisitor is dead or will be replaced by someone who holds the same title years later. Obi-Wan knew Anakin is Vader, he saw the Emperor call Anakin Darth Vader in REVENGE OF THE SITH. He just didn't know that Anakin/Vader survived Mustafar. Tattooine doesn't see imperials usually, we've seen in multiple movies that news passing between planets is severely limited and often censored, Obi-Wan doesn't hang out at bars to ask travelers what's going on in the universe, and Vader is an enforcer but not himself a political leader with political rank in the government.
There was a book series in Legends called "The Last Jedi" and in that series Obi Wan did leave Tatooine but he was tasked with helping a former Padawan who left the order many years prior. His name was Ferus Olin. So episode 1 kind of reminds me of that story. By the end of that series Obi Wan did confide in Ferus and told him the truth about everything. Ferus eventually went to Alderraan and watched over Leia.
About Obi not knowing about Vader for 10 years: Vader is the Boogie man of the empire. A shadowy figure who gets summoned when heads need to roll, leaves few witnesses, is not in politics nor in formal military. Not someone the empire’s PR team would want to be in the public eye.
The purpose for Grandie’s gut-stab was to get him out of Reva’s way for a few episodes while he heals. It was both required by, and he is protected by Plot Armor. Truth is, he is a relative non-entity for this show. He served his purpose for now. Now he can chill for the rest of the show. The only two Baddies needed for this show are Reva and Vader. So long as bro#5 and grandie are still breathing at the end of episode 6, they have done their jobs. Trust in the Force (and Feloni). All will be well.
He's finding out Anakin is still alive, but he knew Anakin went by the title of Darth Vader from back in the final act of Episode III. He and Yoda saw the footage of Sidious 'Knighting' him with his new Sith title when the went back to the temple. Despite his infamy, Vader's overall active duties haven't taken him to the outrim of Tatooine so it is highly likely Obi-Wan legitimately just hadn't heard Vader was now this hulking dark robotic monster we know him as.
Late comment. They mentioned the Grand Inquisitor being alive, they didn't retcon rebels. What they did retcon, however, is how Obi-Wan finds out about Anakin/Vader. In the canon comic about his exile on Tatooine, Obi-wan finds out about Vader still being alive through eavesdropping on a conversation between two locals in a cantina.
Reva is the little girl Padawan they showed up close along with the other younglings during order 66. She feels like, the Jedi & Obi-Wan failed her. Reva is deeply hurt, and wants revenge, so hunting down, Obi-Wan is her ambition.
I’m not 100% sure the Grand inquisitor is dead, but that was a shock and honestly loved the choice. As someone who watched Rebels I was like “oh they’re safe” two seconds later “holy shit!” 🤣
My theory is Big Head is not the same Grand Inquisitor. And the proper one comes in to replace this one. My reasoning is first of all he was taken out way too easily. Second: He has a big fat head. Thirdly: Even though Reva is the 'least' of them, she's still third sister, so the naming convention doesn't confer rank At least that's my headcanon. Also it was awesome to see a clone trooper, and a 501st trooper at that. Apart of me hoped he and Haja were going to team up with Kenobi
The great Jason Isaacs couldn't be available due to scheduling conflicts (so I heard). That could be one way to get him on the show later... buuuut I think it is the same character.
Mate it’s the same guy maul survived getting chopped in half Vader survived being barbecued is it that hard to believe the most powerful inquisitor could not die from a stab
They did a great job casting the little girl to play a young Leia I almost shed some tears when he started saying that she reminds her of a friend he knew
That cut at the end made me jump, the music too....I was afraid you guys were gonna talk through it and miss the impact of the quick cut scene! This whole time since Revenge of the Sith....it had never occurred to me that Obi-wan didn't know Anakin was actually saved and alive and now ruling as Darth Vader. I honestly just thought this whole time he knew that. The fact that he was just now discovering the fact that he indeed didn't kill his "brother" is such a heart dropping gut-punch moment for Obi-wan cause of all the guilt he carried as a burden for 10 years thinking that he failed him and that he did kill him! When Bail told Obi-wan "You couldn't save Anakin" we all thought that implied saving him from turning to the dark side, but to Obi-wan it was that he was convinced that that meant he couldn't save Anakin from dying. I mean granted he witnessed him being burnt alive, he probably just assumed he burnt..to death. And now after all these years Obi-wan thought he couldn't force link with Anakin because he just assumed he wasn't alive anymore, but at the end now he thought to call out to him...and Darth Vader now sensed that force link, exposing that Obi-wan is indeed alive, (to quote A New Hope), "sensing something, a presence he has not felt since"..... Such a great first episode!
Not only does it make sense that Obi Wan will go for Leia, I bet this where they make their connection, in Star Wars IV she actually sends Obi Wan a message because she is been in touch with him and knows where he is
She could have similar power to Cal Kestis. Or something simillar. besides there were people who knew who Vader is. LIke Yullaren and Tarkin and even Thrawn
These two episodes had EVERYTHING AND WERE EVEN MORE BETTER THAN I IMAGINED!!! and why he left Tatooine was brillant and I was feeling everything left right and centre and I'm hooked and I cannot wait for more!!!
why is everyone so confused by the the potential inquisitors death. he does not even look like the rebels character. if his death was real it was immediately obvious to me that the "grand inquisitor" is merely a title. if the grand inquisitor dies he is just replaced with the next in line. this does not at all effect cannon from rebels. I dont understand why people dont understand Reva 's motives either. its obvious those kids in the temple become inquisitors. Reva blames Kinobi for the fall, the creation of vader and not saving her. A youngling died that day in the temple and was re-born as the inquisitor called Reva. she wants Kenobi to atone for his decisions that caused the destruction of everything she cared about, for the creation of vader and because he did not save her.
People get cut up/shot/etc. all the time in Star Wars and live. Fennic Shand - guts blown out by a plaster. No problem make her a cyborg. Darth Maul - cut in half. No problem - make him a cyborg. Oh, and Anakin Skywalker - lost an arm, then lost the other one and both legs - and then was lit on fire and burned. No problem - make him a cyborg. Or... this guy isn't the Grand Inquisitor we know from Rebels. Remember how everyone was saying "he doesnt' like right - he's different" - maybe the final Grand Inquisitor gets the job after this. It would actually be amusing if they had that planned, and then trolled by only having this guy in the trailers and episodes 1 and 2. Likelihood - not high, but I'd laugh if it was.
The two episodes were awesome! I love Leia. She's so cute and feisty. I also love her insult to her cousin. Poor Obi Wan he's been through so much and it's broken him.
Hey y'all, ok don't panic!!! The GI is not dead, I will pretty much bet my last nickel on it. Y'all are right he can not die here, he died in Rebels so lol come down. @Dos Cavazos When Obi-Wan Kenobi left Anikan on Mustafar, he thought that he had killed his brother (SW Episode 3). He did not know that Emperor Palpatine had named Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader; how coudl he have known that specific information if it wasn't granted to him from some source. By time SW Episode 4 accounts unfolded, remember, this is how Ben described things to teenage Luke: ... LUKE "How did my father die?" BEN "A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Now the Jedi are all but extinct. Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force." ... Snap back to the Kenobi Series in Episode 2, now we know how exactly did Ben find out. Inquisitor Third Sister Reva reveals that Anakin Skywalker is indeed alive. Now, by means of this TV series, we get to explore a bit, from Ben's perspective, how Darth Vader is still "but the learner"... [VADER: "When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master."] ... and how Obi-Wan got his take that he expressed to Luke, 'A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of his until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. "Darth Vader" betrayed and murdered Luke's father "Anakin Skywalker".' Moreover, this series will add weight to Vader's words, "When I left you..." which we further know and will see how those words were not merely meaning after their battle on Mustafar. - Big G, Jedi Master Cerano Asor [Star Wars Galaxies]
Yoda and obi wan were wathing recording from temple and Yoda said something like Anakin skywalker is dead Lord Vader is he now. and they even watch holo recording of Palpatine naming him so Obi wan knew he is Vader. He only thought that Vader is dead.
I don't get why no has considered that the Grand Inquisitor can be replace. I am sure there is a promotion procedure for moving up in ranks and this would also explain why the Grand Inquisitor of Obi-Wan does NOT look like the one portrayed in the anime.
I don’t know why people are questioning if the grand inquisitor is dead he’s clearly in later parts of the canon and I’m pretty sure he was shown in later parts of the series via the trailer.
If Rebels is still going to be canon, I assume the Grand Inquisitor will somehow survive. But this series really have to explain how Reva knows that Anakin is Vader...especially since she's supposedly the "least" of the inquisitors.
The Grand Inquisitor isn't going to die here. I mean, come on, Maul got sliced in half and comes back. Anakin had all his limbs sliced and was set on fire over his entire body. It all depends on the GI's anatomy, but short of the lightsaber specifically piercing the heart or brain, I don't assume someone's dead until there's very specific confirmation these days. Especially with Sith (or those in the employ). And besides from not retconning Rebels, no, they're not going to retcon the sequels, nor should they. The new series have been pretty much cementing the sequels. Bad Batch showing the Empire saving some of the cloning techs from Kamino, which ties into the cloning experiments we see in The Mandalorian, which ties into Palpatine using clones to survive. They're doing the opposite of retcon. Just like people needed to learn to let go of their hate for the prequels and wanting them to be retconned, I wish people would stop that with the sequels. They happened, they aren't going away, they didn't "ruin your childhood" or "kill Star Wars."
If Grand Inquisitor is such a thing in Rebels, I figure they did this for a purpose. Maybe there's a clone or brother, maybe he's upgraded. From the little Rebels I've seen, that would make for a more, Dark Side motivated character, We'll just have to wait and see.
The female bounty hunter got shot in the gut and survived for the Boba Fett series, by having her mid section replaced with cybernetic stuff. So it's safe to assume the same is going to happen for the Grand Inquisitor.
here's a tid bit.... the grand inquisitor actually knighted kanan in season 2 (lothal jedi temple scene) oh and Reva was the child in order 66 that they showed first...she was the one that said "we run"

@@KrafterAnonymous Yep. Grand inquisitor is probably super pissed rn. Good reason to use hate to stay alive. Dark side of the force is a pathway many consider to be unnatural so who knows 🤷🏻♂️
Forget about Luke. Judging by what we’ve seen so far, Leia is the one that they should be training as a Jedi to take down the Empire
Actually, Vader being Anakin is top secret information. He would kill anyone who discovered or even saw him without his mask. Thus, Reva knowing it makes for an interesting question on how. I hope we get to see that answered. But Obi-Wan knew that Darth Vader was Anakin's sith name
It's obvious she can read minds and when she says she was gonna take him before Lord Vader, I think she read his thoughts of astonishment and fear of Anakin being alive and she found in his thoughts that Vader is Anakin.
@@paranormalphoenix3317 that would mean she found that out right at the moment, and it really doesnt look like it. Also, mind probing with the force is harder than just being near the person
I LOVED these first 2 episodes. So excited for the rest
Grand Inquistor isn't dead, most likely injured and in a coma. Reva will say it was Kenobi who injured him, but later on He'll return tell them what happen and they'll turn on Reva.
I've really enjoyed these two episodes. Can't wait for next Wednesday!
That toy Ben gave Luke is the toy Luke plays with in A New Hope
The starting sequence on Order 66 had my jaw on the floor, I was shooketh. But inside? "This is where the fun begins."
Don't worry, it's not a retcon. Grand Inquisitor is not dead, which makes Rebels still canon.
He’s on screen for twenty seconds, but the feeling of oncoming dread and terror he gives out through those eyes in chilling.
RAGE eyes.
Thoughts. The chase scenes with Leia seemed super forced like "ok run really slow so you don't catch her and run into this branch super awkwardly"
Reva writing isn't horrible but the acting seems super forced which makes it kind of annoying and distracting.
Ye, I felt her; Reva didn't feel natural.
I didn't expect Baby Leia, but by god I love it. Even as a kid she was a rambunctious little shit
I started laughing when I found out one of the kidnappers was Flea who played Needles from Back to the Future
That's all you know Flea from? How about he's the bass player of one of the biggest bands in music history?
It's sad that neither of them even knew who Flea is.
@@thegorn68 I know that, but most people don't. Back to the future is pop culture so people relate better
good thing kenobi's master has experience rescuing kidnapped children with his "special set of skills". he must've learned something about that from him.
Vader's eyes.... I'm scared. Don't hurt me! Oh my god! The RAGE. You can see Haden's eyebrow muscles grow slowly into pure RAGE!!!! AAAhhhh!!!
I am star wars fan since 1977. Went to see at drive in with parents and brother. Vermont drive in (Los Angeles). Can't tell you two how refreshing it is to watch you two. And go through the series. Keep it going. Good content. ~Salute~
I'm so freaking happy, and next weeks episode drops on my birthday! Couldn't ask for a better present than some new Star Wars haha
Vaders lack of empathy and sympathy is what made him a great villain. No bullshit, straight to the point. Complete opposite of Anakin... and in ANH it's implied that Obi Wan and Vader haven't met since Mustafar
"Pretend your my daughter" obi wan
"Grand daughter maybe" lil princess leia
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i like the fact that the bond between obi wan and vader is still there so he sensed him
GC’s gonna survive. Him getting benched due to injuries is the only way Vader’d show up.
there is an explanation in the comics for the grand inquisitor.
Viewers: man UA-cam recommendations are being boring lately-
Kenobi Clips: *Hello There!*
I loved that series. It was really good.
The problem with alerting the empire to Obi Wan’s existence is that Vader will spearhead the hunt once he gets a whiff of him
Reva is the little girl Padawan they showed up close along with the other younglings during order 66.
Thirdly: Even though Reva is the 'least' of them, she's still third sister, so the naming convention doesn't confer rank
At least that's my headcanon.
We see him again in Fortress Inquisitorious in the trailer, he's not dead.
Mate it’s the same guy maul survived getting chopped in half Vader survived being barbecued is it that hard to believe the most powerful inquisitor could not die from a stab
@@GemKeeper87 It doesn’t show him there in the trailer. Look again.
They did a great job casting the little girl to play a young Leia I almost shed some tears when he started saying that she reminds her of a friend he knew
The Grand Inquisitor isn't dead, he's in all six episodes of Obi-Wan.
My only issue is Reva knowing Vader is Anakin. Vader has made it very aware in canon that if you find out who he is, your life is over.
She could have similar power to Cal Kestis. And thanks to that discover Vaders identity,
Mate just cause she knows he’s anakin doesn’t mean he knows she knows he can’t kill her for knowing if he doesn’t know that she knows
Guys Darth Maul got chopped in half with a lightsaber and didn’t die
Every other reaction video I've watched identified FLEA but this one. 🤣
Leia is like her mom and Luke is like his dad in so many ways. Well Luke gets that toy I remember it back in a new hope.
Yes but I feel the reverse is also true. Leia is snarky and somewhat angry like her Dad and Luke is patient and level headed like his mom (usually)
Not only does it make sense that Obi Wan will go for Leia, I bet this where they make their connection, in Star Wars IV she actually sends Obi Wan a message because she is been in touch with him and knows where he is
My only gripe is how did reva know anakin is vader?
mary sue treatment I sense, from lucasfilm, baaad feeling about this, I have...
@@Spellweawer well we don't know that yet, but we do know that Kathleen Kennedy had a hand in this series.
Maybe she was told
She could have similar power to Cal Kestis. Or something simillar. besides there were people who knew who Vader is. LIke Yullaren and Tarkin and even Thrawn
@@laigron7884 I bet one of the black kid in the beginning is her.
I’ve seen people think that Reva might be the 1st youngling you see training in the Order 66 scene.
he's alive people
"I find your lack of faith disturbing"
Fun Fact: The Orange shirt wearing kidnapper (Vect) is played by Flea, the bassist for Red Hot Chilli Peppers
My feeling was that the Grand Inquisitor in this one and the one in Rebels may be two different people of the same race.
The grand inquistor is 1000% alive. Nobody ever dies in star wars lmao.
somehow the grand inquisitor returned
The GI is most definitely not dead, he’s wounded, no way Disney is retconning one of their Animated Star Wars series.
I wanna see a show about Leia and Obi-Wan. Like Mando and Grogu. THAT would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hopefully that's what we are getting.
Lmfao was that a Dewey Cox/Walk Hard reference? "You don't want no part of this" lol... the cocaine one was damn histerical
27:06 this reminded me of Walter White's "This, is not meth..."
Just like ya'll said Darth Maul lived an he was cut in half lol, Anakin lived an he should have died to. He will be back... Promise!! Anyway Great reaction, y'all are Great!! Can't wait for the next one 😎
Alderaan looks so beautiful. I hope nothing happens to the planet.

RIP ALDERAAN
@Dos Cavazos When Obi-Wan Kenobi left Anikan on Mustafar, he thought that he had killed his brother (SW Episode 3). He did not know that Emperor Palpatine had named Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader; how coudl he have known that specific information if it wasn't granted to him from some source. By time SW Episode 4 accounts unfolded, remember, this is how Ben described things to teenage Luke: ...
LUKE
"How did my father die?"
BEN
"A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who
was a pupil of mine until he turned
to evil, helped the Empire hunt down
and destroy the Jedi Knights. He
betrayed and murdered your father.
Now the Jedi are all but extinct.
Vader was seduced by the dark side
of the Force."
Is the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-wan the same person with the Grand Inquisitor in Rabel? They can be difference people that look similar.
will they add obi wan kenobi series on website cause i wanna know😅
Reva was a Youngling 10 years before. I think she is upset that Obi-wan abandoned the Younglings during Order 66.
I'm quite confident that the Grand Inquisitor survives, and that we see him hunt after Reva. Has to be.
I don't get why no has considered that the Grand Inquisitor can be replace. I am sure there is a promotion procedure for moving up in ranks and this would also explain why the Grand Inquisitor of Obi-Wan does NOT look like the one portrayed in the anime.
I understand that Reva is the youngling in the first scene when Order 66 is enacted.
The fifth brother is Sung Kang who plays Han in F&F
I don’t know why people are questioning if the grand inquisitor is dead he’s clearly in later parts of the canon and I’m pretty sure he was shown in later parts of the series via the trailer.
I saw 1st episode yesterday evening. Awesome reaction 👍
Drink everytime Anthony says "like" 😀
I love..that The suprise plot is.. Involving young Princess Leia.
Who’s to say that the grand inquisitor is the same one in rebels they’ve already implied that they don’t mind replacing the inquisitors
If Grand Inquisitor is such a thing in Rebels, I figure they did this for a purpose. Maybe there's a clone or brother, maybe he's upgraded. From the little Rebels I've seen, that would make for a more, Dark Side motivated character, We'll just have to wait and see.
Leia used the Force to read her cousin’s mind.
