- Day in the life of a South African Software Engineer/Developer working from home. I'm a 20+ year old Information Technology graduate currently working as a developer in South Africa Cape Town. This video is showing how I spend m days most of the time while working from. Nothing crazy in this video just a typical day.
As I have said on the video before this one, I will start posting different things on this channel and not just cars so if anyone has suggestions, drop them in the comment. Please like, comment, subscribe and let me know what I can improve on.

I'm also from Mpumalanga, Nkomazi, but currently in the USA. I'm planning to return to SA in May 2024 after graduating. Your channel is giving me a great perspective of what to except when I'm that side. Keep up the great work man.
This bruu is living the dream of every graduate 😂🔥 wishing this for more SA graduates 🙏🏽

Bro, please make a video about your journey to becoming a Software Engineer I would love to hear that as I'm also pursuing that dream. Im a grade 11 student and I really love your content from UA-cam to TikTok
Definitely would like to hear more about your SDE journey - i.e growth through job switching etc!
Also some advise on the right time (financially) in your career to get a performance car (like your GTI).
ey bro have a nice taste in cars I mean just look at your i30n and your Gti and also thanks for sharing your work experience and challenges
I like the video. I would like to know more about AWS, Cloud and programs that you can run on Cloud
Will try and do something, you must check out my lives on Tik Tok i occasionally go into detail about some of the stuff
Desktop is insane!!! I would have loved to become a Software Engineer instead of Mech Engineering!!!
SQL ke satan🤣. Your set up is insane😭💟. Absolutely love it

Can you make a video talking about the job hunting process?
Unfortunately i’m in no position to talk about job hunting because immediately after finishing my studies i got a job almost instant so i cant give advice about something i never went through
Great stuff I'm motivated
Thanks
Really like your setup and lifestyle. 👌🏾
Thank you
What subjects do you need to be a software developer?
Your desk is incredibly impressive. Do South African companies provide remote job opportunities for individuals within Africa?
Nahh most SA companies tend to hire South Africans. You can check online there might be a few
@@BMTVSA Ok bro, will definitely look around. could you make videos on how to grow as software engineer (junior to intermediate)
Love your content.
Could you please do a house tour. 😁
Thank you
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm a 3rd year Information Technology student. Can you explain how you got into the industry? And what advice can you give?
Im also a 3rd year IT student, and I have the same question.

@@BMTVSA now am feeling like changing careers
awesome video man, I'm currently 17 yrs about to go to college this year to study *Diploma of IT In Software Engineering* so i wanted to know if it's possible to get a degree after completing my Diploma in IT, maybe advance my Diploma cos i don't only want a Diploma
Yes its possible, make sure you diploma is NQ6 then you can further it into NQ7 which is a degree or Advanced Diploma
@BM TV thanks so much, i appreciate the feedback!
Is it advisable for me to study software development in rosebank college in durban
I'm not in a position to give advice about colleges etc, If you wanna go there just verify that their SAICA accreditation is still valid and in place
Which institution did you graduate???you motivate us❤
CTI currently known as
Eduvos
Buma what kind of applications do you write
I write cloud applications that run in the AWS environment. Most of the stuff i do is communication etc.
Can I become a cyber security with a degree in Computer Science/IT ??
Yes you can, you might have to do some short training or something but yeah you can
I’m completing my diploma this year. Thinking of leaving it there and get few certificates. Would be advisable to get a diploma + certificates or degree?
That's a brilliant idea ..to inhance your knowledge and skill and even to make your resumes and cv's rich..so yah go for them certificates
@@pearladdanes8092 yea plus coding is not my strong points😭😭
What's it like working from home?
Its good, the advantages outweigh the negatives so 👌🏾
Loadshedding is your enemy when you work from home
what is the name of the other blue phone you used to record?
Not sure which one your referring too but i think use a Samsung S10+, S22+ and the iPhone you see int the beginning
Can I chose math lit and become software developer?
Yes
wouldn't advise it, unless you're going to take the self taught route. But if you're going to varsity they won't accept you as Math core is needed in getting the Degree and Computer Science is all just math
scope u can also do a higher certificate and us that to apply for a bsc so go which ever way there is many roads into IT
No
@@treasurem2491 Unfortunately the standards have dropped and you can be a Developer whether you did Maths or Maths Lit
Which University you went to?
If I do a 1year course of SDE which comes with a certificate, will I easily get a job?
getting jobs differs from individual to individual
Did you buy your PC or build it yourself
Built it myself
How much money does software developers earn a month for the company you work at
I don’t know, salaries are confidential
Hey bro, what do you shoot your video with?
I shoot with an Iphone 14 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S22+ & S10+
@@BMTVSA oh dope bro, your content is super clean 🔥
@@SilvvaOfc thanks man
Do you do any classes for students?
No I Dont
14:22 that aged pretty badly considering there people that are coming out saying their iPhone 15s are overheating😮😮
😂😂 nothing aged pretty well, the Iphone 14 Pro Max has no overheating issues so thats the phone I’m referring too here so 🤷🏾♂️
What do you use for editing your videos?
Adobe Premiere Pro
@@BMTVSA Thank you 🙏🏾
