I love the desert...have been around Yuma a bit. Thank you. The part at the end showing where you went is interesting to see.

Liked the video ! You're in pretty good shape judging by how you climbed around those rocks . I used to do that too ... 30 years ago LOL . Any information on the wreckage , military aircraft maybe ?

Thanks for watching! More than likely a military aircraft, since it is on a military training range. There are some aircraft crash site databases online, but this one is not included on any...

That looks like an old hang glider, wonder if it wasn’t looking for something. Sure like the hike!

I think it's a training device of some kind. I've since seen another in the next valley over.. Thanks for watching!

A towed arial target is what you found. The cable is probably from the target, the plane towing it had a device that would cut it if needed that was part of the cable reel and carrying device attached to the plane.

OK. That makes sense. I have since found another not far from here. Thanks for the explanation.

Do you have any information about the plane that crashed and when it was?

    • @justwanderinround4113

Nope. There are a few databases online that mark locations of crashes, but this particular site is not included...

I've not heard of any, but I'll do some research. A lot of the area south of Gila Bend is closed to the public...
