I love Exorcist III a ton too! Even though I already have the Scream Factory release I am tempted to get the Arrow release as well. I haven't seen Longlegs yet but I want to. That is cool there are some things in it inspired by Exorcist III.
I can't wait for it either! It will be great to upgrade it to 4K for my ongoing Halloween tradition. I'm also happy it looks like it has all of the same extras as the Scream Factory Blu-ray so I don't think you are missing anything from it.
I do wish they were in individual cases as well but they are in one of those cases that unfolds and each disc is in the regular plastic disc holder. Luckily they don't use those cardboard sleeves where you slide the discs in and out of the slits. I really can't stand those. Those drive me nuts. Always afraid the discs will scratch.
I like that there are a lot of different films and really happy the Hellraiser set is coming out here in the US for anyone who didn't get the UK set. I love it! Even though I have the Scream Factory 4K of Exorcist III I think I am going to get the Arrow release as well.
Definitely grabbing ALL OF THESE. Does anyone know of if ARROW Video charges for preorders immediately after ordering or shortly before dispatching our packages?
You mention Trick r Treat having been shot on film so we will be able to get a 4K release. I believe that Movies shot on 2K DI has often been said to look better on 4K UHD upscaling.
...Also, I can imagine some people who "settled" for the more basic Hellraiser boxset that came out after the Quartet Of Torment was basically sold out in the U.K. being somewhat miffed that they're now releasing a full-blown North American Q.O.T. set, though I think I did see something on the U.K. site about their having found some Chatterer 4K Q.O.T. sets in the warehouse.
That is true. I know they can't always say things due to contracts still being negotiated but I wish we could know when some of these companies are working on possibly releasing certain titles in different regions.
Hi Richard, hope you have been well! I'm really excited for Trick 'r Treat on 4k. My wife loves this one, and I think it will look better than the blu that is out now. I have Hellraiser 4k already, the UK set~so don't need this US one, since I am assuming it will be exactly the same. Enjoy your trip to Chicago. Went there years back and really enjoyed it!
I'm really excited for Trick R Treat too! It will be great to upgrade that one to 4K for my yearly Halloween tradition. I have the Hellraiser UK set as well so I won't be getting the US one either. And it is the exact same thing. No different. And thank you! I miss my old stomping grounds and especially my friends. Can't wait to be back there even if only for a few days.
Looking good Richard! We've gotten a bit of rain this past week. Hopefully we'll get more as we need it. I''ve not seen any of those J-Horror films! Interesting! For a minute I thought Dog Days was Akira Kurosawa's Stray Dog, a great film done in 1973. I might dip into the set and the Exorcists. Many thanks Richard! Have an excellent weekend! Have a fun trip! Be safe!
Stray Dogs is such a great film. I love Kurosawa. I can't wait to see the new 4K restoration of Seven Samurai. I am getting rain here too. I just need it to let up for my trip. I don't want any delays. Haha I hope you are doing good and thank you! I miss Chicago so it will be great to be back for a few days.
Thank you! For some reason, I no longer get the NA Arrow emails, but I got the Arrow Films one from the U.K. today, and after seeing all of this, I immediately checked the North American website to see how much of it was being released here. I'm sure I'm not alone in that I don't really care for the slipcovers for limited editions and very much prefer slipcases/boxes, but for me, anyway, it beats the SF slipcovers with the silver banners which I really don't like, not that I buy anything of theirs for myself anymore anyway, given that they canceled the order I placed during the 4K sale (the first case in which I placed an order from them in over a year and a half) immediately after I placed it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They cancelled your order? That really sucks. I don't get the Arrow e-mails for the US store anymore either unless I go to their site (like today) to look at something and then I get an e-mail about it. Kind of creepy. "We know you were looking at this so you should buy it." Otherwise the only ones I get are the ones for the UK store.
@@RichardDiaz What makes them canceling my order really funny is that I know people who have (jokingly) told their listeners to send SF a box of excrement when they requested that those who had received the special, really expensive version of Night Breed by mistake send it back, and they continued taking THEIR orders.
Bro hard as I try I can't read the title of the first boxed set of 7 movies and I can't understand what you say. What's the name of this set?🤔 The Hellraiser Quartet! I told you we'll get it you gotta have faith! I'm such a fan of these movies that'll send for the Blu-rays and 4Ks too. As always thanks for the heads up Richard!👉🙂👈
Sorry about that. The box set is called "J-Horror Rising". An odd name for a box set. lol You were so right about the Hellraiser set coming to the US. I am glad it is so a lot of people can get it now. Such an amazing set. I hope you have a great weekend!
I know people are excited for these but I miss when Arrow put out lesser know horror like Girls Nite Out and Blood Rage. It feel very mainstream now. That's fine but I do wish Arrow would put out more obscure horror films
I agree. I would love a few more obscure titles mixed in with the bigger ones. Although with a lot of the smaller companies out there really starting to take off it's possible they might be the ones getting the more obscure titles to give them proper releases.
@@RichardDiaz That's true. I'm still holding out hope for Blood Beach and Prom Night 2. I would really love those to get great releases someday. I hear the Synapse is working on Deadly Spawn and Just Before Dawn. I would love to see those films in better quality than I currently have
Thank you so much! I miss the McHenry Drive-In. Such an amazing place. Had a lot of fun there the times I went. I want to make it back to Chicago at some point for a longer trip and hit up all of those places. The drive-in, The Music Box, Lou Malnatis. I miss a lot.
@@RichardDiaz I posted a short little video on my channel giving a little tour of the drive-in in McHenry. I have been going there since I was a kid in the 70s. They are now charging 14 bucks ahead.🤣
Exorcist 3 is so underrated. Great film! I noticed Longlegs took some ideas from it
I love Exorcist III a ton too! Even though I already have the Scream Factory release I am tempted to get the Arrow release as well. I haven't seen Longlegs yet but I want to. That is cool there are some things in it inspired by Exorcist III.
@@RichardDiaz Sane here the transfer is great I think. Very bright and clear. Keep up the great work brother 🙏😊
Exorcist III is truly underated.Glad to see new release 😊
I don't think it's underrated anymore. I've never heard anyone crap on that film
Trick r Treat in 4K, I CAN’T WAIT, I watch it every Halloween night
Can't wait for Trick r Treat 4K. Missed out on the limited Edition Scream Factory Blu-ray..

As happy as I am about the Hellraiser set... I wish they came in individual cases and not in sleeves 😕

Get the Tetrology set. It's cool, in individual cases with reversible art!
$119 for hellraiser? Im glad i got the uk version it was going for less than $80
I personally love all of Arrow's September and October releases.

Just pre order air America 🇺🇸 4k 😊
Definitely grabbing ALL OF THESE. Does anyone know of if ARROW Video charges for preorders immediately after ordering or shortly before dispatching our packages?
Saving money on these announcements!
I'm excited for Trick R Treat but I am also glad I can ease up a bit.

I can't imagine why people would want Exorcist 2 other than completionists. It doesn't hold a candle to 1 & 3
