Another great review. I’ve been spinning this one since release day and loving it. As you guys know at Metallurgy - I’m super fussy with my doom metal but Crypt Sermon hits the sweet spot for me (doom but with traditional metal flavors). I’m building my doom collection slowly with Candlemass, Trouble, Pentagram, Count Raven, and now Crypt Sermon.
I like doom, but my problem is, I'm rarely in the mood for it these days. I do however like playing it (guitar), but that's a totally different situation. Thanks for watching!
This is the first by them I've heard. Saw them live once. Do I prefer early Candlemass? Sure, but the guitar work and overall songwriting on this one is hard to deny. I'll eventually check out their previous albums in full. Thanks for watching!
Great review, Alan. I definitely dig this band and this album. I had not checked them until recently, but Geoff from GM&HG was pimping them so hard, I had to check their stuff out and I’m really glad I did.
This is the first album by this band I've (Marty here) listened to all the way through. VERY impressed by the riff ideas and overall guitar work. Definitely needs more attention from me. Thanks for watching!
20 times?!? I guess I would suck as a real music reviewer because I haven’t ever listened to any 20 times within a week. Hell, some albums it takes me over a year to get close to 20 times and those are albums I really love.
First impression when doing this type of "work" is often a very useful tool, BUT as you know, the more time you spend with something, ones thoughts on the same piece of music can change. Thanks for watching!

Nice Review Alan, this one is still growing on me I need to spend more time with it, their debut is my favorite, Great Band! Enjoyed Man, Take Care

This record is worth less than 1 listen too, 20 times is wild
