Thanks for the note. It is actually normal cycle in this case. During first start of the day when it is really cold, the wait light will cycle few times after the engine starts. When the temps are warmer, or the engine is warm, it will not do that.
It has over 120K miles without major problems, so I would say yes, it is reliable. Not sure where perception of H1 reliability issues came from, with proper maintenance those things will last for a long, long time.
Thanks. Most H1 came with the diesel, 6.2L NA 1992-1993, 6.5L NA 1994 - 1998, 6.5L TD from 1996 - 2004 and 6.6L Duramax in 2006. In 1995 & 1996 you also could get 5.7L Gas. So most likely H1 you will see will be a diesel.

Flashing wait light could mean your glow plug controller is going out, might wanna check the contacts and perhaps look into ordering a replacement.
