    It's been two days since I started eating by following circadian rhythm. I'm easily able to have a fasting window of 14 hours without feeling much craving in mornings.
    First day I ate light dinner by 7pm and by 11pm I felt stomach was empty and morning when I woke up I felt so light in stomach which I NEVER ever experienced before in my life.
    Thanks a lot Dr. Pal❤️👌👌🙏
    Will continue this routine always.🙏

    I can't Thank you enough Dr.Pal for finding Dr.Ramji. The insights she has given about the biphasic nature of insulin, portions, proteins and timing of food is an eyeopener. And finally when she said a oneliner about nature of female hormone,that has retreived my lost motivation a hundred fold.

    About the cups and measurement ...now I realise why our south Indian KARANDI (serving ladle) is shaped that way....seriously our ancestors were super geniuses...they probably knew how pathetic we would all be and they designed our lifestyle which sadly we neglect.what a shame.

    This video is very helpfiul esp for SI whose diet is filled with simple carbs. Eating healthy food requires a lot of time in the kitchen but cooking in bulk helps to pull out 2 or 3 diff varieties of veg everyday.Also learning and incorporating healthier versions from friends from different states in India or from You tube helps to develop taste for them and makes it easier to decide the menu.I have substituted Jowar or ragi idly for regular ones and find them more tastier too !!

    Dear Dr. Pal, I'm a 43 year old Tamil woman and Gluten intolerant since 2015, so the idea of having to give up rice also is difficult for me. Greens, herbs and veggies have always formed a big part of my regular diet, in addition to eggs and meat twice a week, I also don't eat out much, no sodas or high sugar food. I cook with cold pressed Sesame Oil regularly and some home made ghee from Organic butter, sprout my beans and I do eat millets in Roti/Pongal or Kanji (porridge), you get the idea 😊.
    But I cook a 50% Ponni or Sona Masuri rice - 50% Quinoa mix in the pressure cooker to eat with my curries and veggies on the side, is this a good way to go about it. I must add that I'm not particularly overweight but have gained a few pounds since I hit 40 that just won't go away, my BMI slightly higher than the prescribed range at 28.
    P.S.: Quinoa by itself ruins it for me and I don't particularly enjoy eating millets with our sambar and gravies. I think I'm decently disciplined but I can't deny myself so much that I feel miserable. Kindly consider this and advise me accordingly.🙏

      The recommendation of 150-200g total carbs from grain is for adults trying to lose body fat. For kids you can increase the carbs and protein proportionately depending on their activity level. If you increase the carbs increase the protein and make sure they eat a variety of vegetables. You can encourage taken to eat 200-300 g of complex carbs. Protein sources could be eggs or meat or for vegetarians seeds, nuts, paneer. Please don’t put kids on a diet. Make sure you give them a variety of nutritious food. Also help them
      Improve their activity levels. The kids are very busy with school and studies that they end up siting a lot. Encourage them to take walks, do skipping, and engage in any sports they like.

    Good day Dr. I am anutritionist. I have a doubt regarding pazhaya saadham as a prebiotic. Nowadays we use chemical fertilizers while cultivating paddy. Will that affect the quality of rice when we eat it cold or we ferment it (especially raw rice)?

    • @sveltezone9325
      @sveltezone9325 Рік тому +2

      I would simplify this by saying you take any cup or container and then add 4 times the veggies/poriyal. Eat the veggies first and then eat the carb. This will give you an idea of how much you need to eat for your body! This is a tip I give my clients who are traveling and cannot quantify nutrition. Standard measuring 1 cup is 250 ml.

    Hi Dr Pal & Dr Kalpana, what happened if i track my daily input and output calorie, for example my calorie intake for the day (calorie figures based on fitness tracker/watch, doubt the accuracy though), breakfast - (tea with milk & sugar- 237, 1 vadai - 182 & 1 idly with coconut chutney & sambar - 39) & lunch - vegetarian mix rice (pulanggal rice with 3 -4 diff vegies & curry) - 900, NO dinner. Total calorie intake for the day 1358 and output 1436 deficit 78. Do i have to worry about the type of food intake ie; carb, protein, fiber & etc, if i could burn all the intake calories? Is this method effective or rather does it really works? Pls comment, thank you.
