Hey love your guys videos what lens to you use to vlog with? I have a canon eosR6 I was just wondering what would be a good lens to use if I can only use one to vlog and capture footage with
@@Dodoa3916-35mm! We use it for about 90% of our videos! We’ve been using a Sony mic recently but love the Rode Video Micro, you might need a better dead cat though because it’s rough in wind
I 100% relate to the statement «It takes all my energy to get to where I’m going”, so I guess I need to learn not to rush my photography. Great video! Thanks!
I’ve fallen in and out of love with a hundred different UA-camrs in the last 5 years, but I always remain in love with you and Chris. And now I also love Paul! Also, I want to say that I love that you’ve given yourself the freedom to let your channel pivot to follow your interests as they morph over the years.
What an inspirational video. I love my photography and I’m heading down the restricted movement path from multiple spinal injury. I’m out there! Thank you 🙏
I think one theme that always shines through any video you make is the people stories. Sometimes it’s about you or Chris, often it’s about someone else, but I’m always interested and enamored by the person whose story you’re sharing!
Gems like, " I shoot things that I like, the way I like. That's it." and "Does anyone else like it? Meh, probably not. I don't care....." Uncle Paul is my hero today. I can only hope I am as cool as he is when I have been slinging a camera as long as he has. :)
Uncle Paul is awesome. My uncle got me started when I was 12 now 68 sometimes I get in the slump, but I like is analogy about going out and just shoot anything. Becky Uri he should have a UA-cam channel or at least Instagram. I sure would following. Thanks so much for sharing with us. God bless.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Awesome video and photos. Thanks for doing this and posting it here. Your Uncle's photographs are simply AMAZING!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Started watching from the Heading west series now can’t stop watching, even watched most of the older videos from the beginning, btw when will you guys get your helicopter back?
Paul! What a guy. Sounds like he's lived a cool life! Also, I can respect that he chose to go mirrorless and his work is great. Takes me back to my childhood and seeing my uncles body of work.
I enjoy Paul's photo's and journey. I would subscribe to his channel! I too, began my photography journey young and in the 35mm world and darkroom, then nothing for years until three years ago.
Dam, I love Paul's outlook on photography and using the Canon R6, it doesn't get any better than that, one of my favourite cameras . Paul could probably start a UA-cam Channel just telling his stories. Great video guys👍👍😍
Becki you are so blessed to have your Paul. Listen watch and learn from him. And I don't mean just his Awesome photography. Yes he surely does capture incredibly the things we nearly always miss. True artistic talent. Reminds me of Hania Rani. 🥰
Absolutely loved this! So amazing on mulitple levels, smiled all the way through. "More afraid of doing nothing, then doing something and failing." Epic. Come out to Tucson, Arizona and we can go storm chasing during monsoon season!
Another wise Paul....lol. So great to see his motivation, inspiration, and a general "I don't care what other people think" attitude. His reasons are why I like photography as well. One to just get out in nature; and two to slow down. Thanks for sharing!
Your Uncle Paul has a great outlook on life. I’ve been feeling incredibly uncreative lately and his view of just going and taking pictures is a great outlook. Protect this man at all costs!
Wow! What a cool Uncle you have! Very inspiring story you documented here. I really like his style of shooting landscapes and nature in general. I sometimes wonder why other people can't see those things as well. Loved that Vlog!!
I love this video and I love your Uncle Paul! I get so frustrated traveling with non-photographers who are always in such a hurry to get to the next spot and I could spend a whole day exploring a mile and taking photos. I’d happily slow hike with Paul!
This was great, what a cool mix of the ol’ vlog format, needing out on photography, a super cool guest, and camping?! 💯 I have a feeling this year will be such a neat refresh for the channel - keep it going.
Holy crap get Uncle Paul to set up a UA-cam channel. I watch endless landscape photographers on UA-cam that are not half as interesting as Uncle Paul!!
Not sure why your guy’s videos haven’t been popping up in my recommended :( you guys were one of my favorite channels. I just recently got back into photography so I’ll definitely be tuning in more!
Your Uncle Paul is a gem full of wisdom! Please bring him back to your videos at least twice a year! Perhaps a spring and a fall color photo camping trip.
Paul is great! I love his style and sometimes I see his work in your work etc. He seriously inspires me and one of my favorite life achievements was when he followed me on Instagram and actually takes the time to like my photos. It feels good. I learned a lot from this video. Thank you both!
Holy wow, SO many gems from Paul. Maybe my favorite was "I'm more afraid of doing nothing... than doing something and failing." I thought his comments about pace and not hurrying were calling me out a bit 🙂
Could you please send a link or write the name of the backpack, Thank you! Was in that park last summer and loved that hike. Your uncle did well hiking that!
My tent is a Woods Yukon 6. Inside is 12 * 10 with a standing height of 6ft 4ins. It's total footprint is about 14' by 17' with fly. Well constructed but not a one person assembly. Gotta have some comfort in my old age. Thanks!
Paul is a gem (I'd watch his channel if he had one)! I totally agree with your desire to go to Arizona, I just got back from Nevada (latest video) and the terrain and potential is amazing! Definitely recommend!
I so enjoyed watching your uncle Paul. Wow what great pictures, and great lessons. I really need to follow his advice. I hope and pray he continues on.

Uncle Paul is “The Most Interesting Man in the World”! Thanks for the inspiration and I know you don’t care, Uncle Paul!

The bangers will come… 😮💨🔥 words of wisdom and nice reminders to just get out and make stuff 🥹. Loved this so much!
Been thinking of his advice since, changes the perspective on photography

Great job vlogging it....Paul great to see you doing what you like best! Hollywood here you come! 😋
This is brilliant! Again! Respect the age, you'll be there. Just give it a little time.

Thanks Aaron! That means a lot!!
Perseverance is inspiring. Thank you Uncle Paul
May I ask which camera you used to record yourself, your uncle, and some more of the close range nature shots?
Can we all please borrow your uncle? He's amazing and we all need to learn from him.
Always learning from him when we go out on a trip!
Love your uncle's approach to photography. "I'm more afraid of doing nothing, than doing something and failing." Boom! 💥
