I just bought a CRF450RL and I live in eastern WA(Greenacres). I ride priest lake every year. I’d like to make this ride on the CRF450RL. If you’re looking for riding buddies hit me up.
Thanks, I wish the GoPro would let me drop the input a little but for a first try it wasn’t bad. Eventually I will get a new helmet and I think that will help more too
@@DadsDomain a mate came out with a gopro 8 or whatever and the sound quality was absymal! Im using a chinese thing in a solid case with an open back door and that thing works real good.
Mine is a go pro 8. I like the front mic for vlogging but I bought their adapter for a 3.5mm mic for in the helmet. Dan has the go pro 9, I should borrow it and see if it’s any different.
Excuse me, just read a forum that said the sticky jerky throttle problem comes back if you do the stage 2 sad powerhouse cam set up, is this true or does it run just fine? Thx!
Also, what do they do to the vortex? Site says you need it remapped with the cam kit, I see you have the vortex switch so I was wondering how many sod powerhouse maps for the cam do they write? Because you have the 2 map switch, are ther multiple maps for the cam kit or just 1 and your choice to use another of the vortex maps? Thx so much !
Just picked up a 2021 450rl and I love it..... question::: when do you recommend the first oil change and what oil do you use? Also, just been riding around the town for an hour or so and I noticed this thing gets pretty hot to the touch around the muffler and after riding the cooling fans were running I noticed, do these things seem to run pretty warm? Thanks
Yes, the muffler canister has the catalytic converter on the bottom. They are pretty close to as lean and optimal as possible for emissions. Mine was a used Honda Press bike but I would say change it pretty early, 300 miles and again at 600 both with filters. After that depends on how you ride it. If you're going to ride hard in the dirt, keep up on air filter cleaning and change at 600 unless it's REALLY dusty than change after the ride. If it's mostly 50/50 with like fire roads and small dirt excursions, 1000 miles is actually been proven to be safe by oil analysis here on YT and forums.
Camping rates are crazy. I remember when a decent hotel was that much!

Mic quality is really good, no wind noise and the bikes really quiet.

@@DadsDomain the rubbish sounding one fits in a black case and has 2 small slits on the top corner for sound.
Yeah the mic setup worked awesome
Do you still have the VStrom? I'm in CdA, been riding BDRs on my DR650, but looking at the VStrom/AT/Tiger for a bit more "on asphalt" comfort.
I saw that your riding with street tires . 😅
Best Vstrom Windshield "Madstrom"

Thanks for sharing 😊👍🙏
You guys should trade the crf250 rally in for a crf300l and do a comparison/first impression video.

I’m knew can’t wait to see more love the videos
Great video. What mirrors does Dan have on his bike?
He said they are the super moto mirrors from Soloracer.com
Can not get 450L in the UK at all 😪
That sucks, hopefully these shortages don’t last forever
@@DadsDomain I don't believe it was a shortage, I think they pulled allocation from the UK market because of the 25hp restriction and poor sales.
