I'm not a parent myself but I am a fellow Catholic. I appreciate all that Jesus had done for us. He suffered and died for our sins. He's a great Man who we should always praise. Never mind what that other replier said. They're probably an atheist and I don't like to talk to atheists unless I had to. Otherwise, I ignore them because they don't believe in God or His enemy down below.
The song is everything to me. Comfort due to the loss of a loved one. Being a Catholic myself I see the sacrifice and love that Jesus Christ has given us. The season of Christmas is something everyone should appreciate whether Christmas or not. Having Jesus in our hearts is and should be the greatest gift of all.

I heard a few others that just sounds to commercial without soul ( I'm a black guy ). A song this majestic should be done by the likes of these two real singers who can deliver a duvine feel.
