What's better than a tasty cold beverage on a summer day? A yummy drink in a super cute cup! I recently showed you how to sublimate mugs, which are so fun to make for hot coffee and tea. This summer though, sublimated tumblers are all the rage, and they're perfect for cold beverages to keep you cool at the pool, the beach, or during your summertime road trip. However, learning how to sublimate tapered tumblers can be tricky! Since the sides of the cup are slanted instead of straight up and down, how do you prepare and sublimate your tumbler so you get the best result?

You would have to line the seam up perfectly. The banner just helps camouflage the seam since it can be tricky getting it perfect.🥰

1. **Upload the Beach Image and Template:**
- First, upload both your beach-themed image and the tapered template PNG to Canva.
- Click on the beach image from the uploads menu to add it to your canvas.
2. **Add and Resize the Template:**
- Click on the template PNG from the uploads menu to add it to your canvas.
- Resize the template as needed to fit your design.
3. **Adjust Layer Position:**
- Click on the template to select it.
- Use the "Position" button in the top toolbar to bring the template to the front. This will ensure the template is on top of the beach image.
4. **Adjust Transparency (Optional):**
- If you need to see both the template and the beach image clearly, you can adjust the transparency of the template.
- With the template selected, click on the transparency icon (a checkerboard icon) in the top toolbar and adjust the slider to make the template semi-transparent.
Hi! Bought your sublimation cookbook from Amazon….what I can’t figure out, even from this video is how you place the tumbler into the oven. Is it lying on its side or standing straight up?
I have it standing up but not all of the ovens are large enough to do that so you can lay them down on the racks and rotate that way as well. I have a Sublimation FB group that has a lot of information on this process as well, facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy 💗
Just so you know.. I successfully sublimated the top of the makers tumbler from Michael's.. I Used my heat press with a small plate press attachment.. It worked great..
I heated it for a bit, stopped and let it cool for a few. then repeated the process a few times.. IT LOOKS SOOOO good.. and the plastic didn't melt and it is still seals
100%.. next i want to try the bottom also.. ..

What if the design you want to wrap has lines that you want to line up and stay looking straight? I cant figure out how to warp the image
Hi Jennifer! Quick question if you don't mind. My mom is learning sublimation and she's at the point of PDF to PNG converter, but the site doesn't have the "Remove Background" option. I've tried looking around, but can't find a way to bring up the option. Do you know if it was removed or are we doing something wrong? Thank you for your time.

We're using the one from your page, PDF to PNG Online Converter. On your screen it has the *Remove Background* option under *Optional Settings*, but on ours, the first setting is *Quality*
We were able to remove the background using canva, but wasn't sure if that would mess anything up.

Amazing video, I followed everything in the video but once I print the image it’s not full scale on the paper, I put the same printer settings but it only covers a portion of the 8.5x14 paper. Am I doing something wrong ?

This is exactly what I need HOWEVER, when I'm in Canva, the template outlines that you have (starting at the 7:30 mark) are not showing up at all once my design is overlaid onto the template. It's like the template is completely hidden and all I see is my design. I have no idea why this is or what I can do to get the template outline to show up on top of the design.... Any suggestions? Your help is MUCH appreciated, thank you!!! 😊
There is a layers panel on the side of your canvas, you can move the template layer to the top. 😊🌻
Not sure what's going wrong on my end at this point, but no matter what I try, the template lines will not show up over my design. :(
I changed the transparency settings and it finally worked!!! 😀
It let me upload it as a pdf on canva 🤷🏻♀️ I do love the tutorial bc I haven’t been able to do an all over wrap for anything and I have these exact cups ! ❤

I used your technique using a convection oven 375 degrees at 6 mins, I turned it at 3 mins, after completing the shrink wrap was almost completely melted. The image came out fine, but it took extra effort to get the remaining shrink wrap and paper off. Any Suggestions?
It shouldn't have melted. Different bands could vary in performance.
Hi, We tried the online converter from PDF to PNG, but there is no remove background option. When we upload converted PDF to PNG on canva, the PNG image isn't transparent. Can you help?

On the website to convert the pdf into png does not have the “remove background” button
There are restrictions in Design Space if you are not an Access member.
It’s crazy to me how everything is so advanced and there is not one attachment that fit these cups on the heat press. It’s very frustrating

I am missing a step and have re-watched several times. When I go to move my image on top of the template, my image is actually behind it and I cannot see the template like in JM’s tutorial…ugh…does anyone have any thoughts on this?

What do I do if it’s not giving me the option to remove background
In Cricut Design Space to remove the background is for Access members.
@@JenniferMaker yes I’m an access member on cricut I’m talking about after I make the template and go to the website to turn the template into a png it’s not giving me the option to remove the background I see where you can change all the other stuff but I didn’t touch that as you said I left it on the default setting but I don’t see the option to remove background so when I’m trying to work with it on Canva it’s not right
@@JenniferMaker I am having this issue as well when convert from pdf to png there is no option to remove the background. When uploaded into canva and adding background image it is not working. The image just goes behind the template and am unable to see it.
Canva does give an option to remove the background. I had the same issue. I uploaded the template design to canva and then I clicked edit photo and there is an option that says BG Remover.
I hope you can see this.. mine doesn’t let me remove the background?
