Beautiful video of an awesome plane :) Being from Germany, I love when you talk German and you are doing great!
What a gorgeous model! And that sound! This is a must-have. Thank you for the great showcase. I fully agree with you about 'that' symbol btw. Hope you feel better soon - I'm battling a bug too at the moment.
Thank you for the nice review. It was about time Flying Iron Simulations released this bird. The should really makes this once special again - great job there 👍🏼
I love that they kept the EFB the same basically, so if you have used other FlyingIron products, it will be familiar. But truth be told, FlyingIron have NEVER disappointed in anything they do.
Yeah I love their EFB system, its universal and simple.
Love the sound it makes!
Also I hope you feel better soon 🫂
Yes, make a DC3, P-47 and most of all a FlyingIron P-51D!
Great review as usual, already bought it because I also love warbird taildraggers. I was lucky to fly with Dick Forbes at a South African gliding club in the 80’s, he was one of 4 RAF pilots that were selected to form No.1426 (EAC) Flight responsible for the testing and evaluation of enemy aircraft on 21/11/41 and they were based at RAF Collyweston. Eventually they had 7 Me109’s, 4 FW190’s, 5 Junkers 88’s as well as an Me110 & 410, Heinkel 111, Henschel 129 and Fiat CR42. It was their job to travel around the country giving displays to other RAF squadrons and advice on how best to engage the enemy. Their first captured FW190 was delivered unserviceable and had to wait for a cylinder block to be acquired from a downed aircraft in the Middle East before Dick could test fly it on 24/10/43 whilst still in Luftwaffe markings and preferred it to the Me109.
Karl-Heinz Hirsch flew at our sister club 30km away, he learnt to fly the Me109F with the Luftwaffe. As part of his training he spent time at Rechlin where he test flew captured allied aircraft such as the Spitfire IX and Mustang. He fought on the Eastern front in Me109F’s before returning to Germany to finish off the war flying the Me262. It was a real privilege to know two WW2 fighter pilots who both test flew the other side’s captured fighter aircraft.
I kinda think I have read this before lol
Some of the best Radial sounds in MSFS.. Hot Damn.
A Flying Iron DC-3 would be heavenly
What a wonderful Aircraft..... Another great presentation too... Thanks for taking the time to do another appraisal... Roger
Picked it up last night. Have yet to fly it. Something to look forwards to this evening. ✈️
Damn that 190 is a beauty
Very nice video, hope you feel better soon.
As always, a lovely video from you :) but the FW-190 is fantastic, Flying Iron are an Instant Buy for me, the quality is guaranteed. Get well soon.
This thing is awesome! Yes! One of my favourite aircraft is in the sim!
Thanks for the review. Hope you get well soon.
Gute Besserung!
Vielen Dank!
17:24 Avangel is trying to hypnotize certain people over the internet !!!!
It works, I promise.
Love the Walter Dahl livery. Hopefully I can get MSFS working enough to download this.
Ooooh nooo. Feel better asap!
I'd like to see flying iron make a Hawker Typhoon bubble top version or perhaps a Mosquito even a P 51 would be awesome I'd buy any of those in a heartbeat for flight simulator 2024.
are you fire kitten? your voice sounds so familiar! I can’t believe I stumbled upon your channel randomly, I found ur B-1 Lancer Vid. If so I remember u from the old CZG DOJ days
I hope Flying Iron will make us a Hawker Hurricane soon.. And I'd like a Lancaster aswell.. ;)
AH is doing a Lanc, FI is doing a B17 then Hunter iirc.
huhhumm....we need a De Havilland Mosquito before anything else.
Valid!
Absolutely, I have been hoping for one since the beginning of fs2020 .
Yeaaaaaa AvAngel video release while I'm sipping a nice hot ☕ 😅
Brilliant metaphor :-)
If FlyingIron are watching, I am throwing my vote in for a B-25 Mitchell!
ngl, for the 17 and if there is another bomber, I'd love an unarmed version as an option... for reasons :D
Honestly from these people I'd love to see a Douglas C-117 (The Dc-3's faster brother) either that or a BT-67
Thanks, love your reviews! Will you be reviewing the new Black Box BN-2T turboprop soon?!
Yep, very next one!
Anyone knows when this will be available in the regular marketplace?
Don't think theirs are, but maybe?
@@AvAngel Not sure what you mean but every Flyingiron has been added to it in the past so this one will too, just when???🤣
I think it's absolutely insane the sheer amount of brain power you have to remember the location and procedures for every single aircraft you review. I wouldn't remember half of these planes control locations let alone the procedures to start the dang things. Keep up the good work big brain and feel better 🎉
:D It takes a lot, it is why I look a bit daft sometimes as I fly so damn many!
@@AvAngel if it helps, we couldn't tell at all. You could qualify as a test pilot if you wanted to cause we don't see any faffin about.
You obviously don't fly much , it's called leaning to fly and practice is all mate.😂
@@derweed40 rude and presumptuous but your free to think whatever you want to. I just know I sometimes can't remember if I'm supposed to be using auto acquision, pal, or HACQO in a jet when Im switching modules in dcs. Probably wanna not be assuming stuff though just because it's impressive AV has figured out 80% of 95% of her own modules in her Sim of choice. Doubly so when as stated in the video, she has flown it all of once before recording. I know it takes a few days of continuous flying for my muscle memory to kick in when I'm learning a new jet, but if your claiming to be able to do the same, I'd love to see you do so too since I'm here for the aviation and module review and not to show how "capable" I believe I am.
after doing it for so long you can almost do it blind folded and real pilots cant forget such so its doable lets just say even with the most expensive realistic plane with a lot of buttons needed switched and such that don't even come close to all the button pressing you have to remember and do irl
P39?
Yes…. Make a DC3… yes I want this.
Thanks for the vid, and it looks and sounds awesome!
In looking for faults, my thoughts on improvements are aimed at flight sim more generally.
The premise of these planes are owning one when we will never have the opportunity to do so IRL.
So, there needs to be an industry standard that reflects the inevitable abuse these planes would get from poor handling.
So aircraft models should come with (optional) consequence modelled, and engineer reports, damage represented and token time-out for time on chocks in the hanger for repairs.- which maintenance would get more routine and typical as you improve your knowledge on type.
Also there needs to be a default option for the interior pilot figure (you) in the seat, after all it’s what you would actually see if you were genuinely flying the real aircraft, unless you are actually invisible IRL?
As I suggested, these features should evolve into the standard industry expectation.
Cheers always. 👍
As you saw, I am visible for the start, I CHANGED it to the WW2 pilot in the video. Also it does have systems and consequence modeling, wear and tear, gear damage etc. These are in all Flying Iron aircraft.
Hello @AvAngel, do you fly warbirds with your honeycomb Alpha or do you have a stick for them?
I do indeed :) I fly everything on the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo.
If they decided to replace certain tail markings with a black square in diamond position or perhaps an Eisernes Kreuz Iron Cross would be an acceptable option. Not a political comment at all disclaimer. Other than that I find the FW 190 to be excellently modeled.
the nazi swastika is an important part of history and should not be infected by politically correct BS
DC3 🤞
Is that a radial engine?
BMW 801 radial yep
Great review, but the B-17 has Wright Cyclones, not Pratts.
Ah, good point.
Dangit! I wasn't going to spend anymore money on planes before the release of MSFS 2024... BRB!😬
This counts for 2024 :D
Well guys waiting ju-88 and he-11
Will the other planes from FlyingIron also get free upgrades for MSFS2024? I don’t want to buy double planes I already own 😮
Cannot confirm
Oke, thank you for your answer😊
We need a Japanese Zero.
We had one but it was a bit eh.
Mixing with FW-190D this is radial engine and no guns in middle of engine
This is a radial yes, woops on the guns :D
Noooooo make a Heinkel 111!!!!!! Before the dc3. We have too many
We have one mediocre one :D But a 111 would rock.
@@AvAngel i know. I just love WW2 planes so much
I'm thinking about buying it, especially since I used to have a Model FW-190 on my shelf, until it fell down and broke..
Ps. What do you use for Headtracking?
The Grass Monkey Puck :)
@@AvAngel Thank you
Ju52 but please in good
why does it sound like a lawnmower
a lot of the German fighers sounded far more poppy than the inline American aircraft.
@@AvAngel i wonder why it sounds like that compared to, say an r2800
NO make a Mosquto
B25 or Lancaster over a DC3 anyday
The DC3 would see more use, civ and mil, but they're doing a 17, a lanc is coming so a 25 I'd be ok with.
@@AvAngel I would love a PMDG DC 6 quality DC 3, for sure... B25 would be fun though.
Hmm, how did you pronounce the name Foche??😮lol. Oh and I also wanted to say... "Das video, das ist zehr gute Fraulein 😅, ja!!"
Fo-k-e Vulf? the che sound is hard to phoneticise i think. Auch Vielen Dank!
P51
I cant buy a non dog fighting model. DCS is on my future one day with a new gaming pc...quest 3 and tobi eye traker
Frankly, I don't care about shooting. I want to experience flying these machines like they are today, in the real world. I don't care if it won't shoot guns.
@@AvAngel Ya, I hear ya. Fantastic job, would be fun still for sure.
I know this will be an unpopular view in some quarters, but missing the swastika from the tail is just dumb.
Facts are facts and the fact is that practically every German fighter during WWII carried that symbol on its tail.
And the world defeated them to remove it from existence
A good thing too. I just prefer historical accuracy in my warbirds.
