I think this line of borboun is outstanding!!! It has become a favorite and a staple in my collection. I'm a traditional old fashioned drinker but also like to try a new borboun neat first then with about 3-5 drops of water just to see how it changes.....💯
Really depends on the brand and line of bourbon. I used to think the same way until I started buying some more premium borbon, like Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, Eagle Rare, etc. And i know theres even better abd nore expensive bourbon, but those are both good ones that have complex flavors and wont break the bank. Get you a nice snifter whiskey glass, pour about a third of a glass, swirl it around, smell it, let it set for about 20 minutes at room temp. The glass and the air will open up the flavors and you'll taste several different flavor notes
For a Coffee Cinnamon Simple Syrup we would recommend coarse ground coffee grains (maybe two table spoons per cup of sugar) and 2-3 crushed cinnamon sticks (add more or less based on preference).. boil all together (as if you were making simple syrup) until sugar dissolves and fine strain out the cinnamon bits. It would take some experimentation but its do-able! We just uploaded a video on 5 basic syrups, but we will play around with the idea of a coffee cinnamon syrup!
By the looks of your channel you don't have any real ground to stand on my friend. On the contrary to your bullshit comment, smoking bourbon isn't for flair. You'd know that if you knew your ass from our elbow
The only right way to drink bourbon is from a glass ! Neat ! No ice no mixed drinks otherwise you don't really Appreciate and like bourbon you simply like bourbon flavoured drinks .
Whiskey is just nice and classy.

“I get some of the burn from the cedar from the actual barrels…”
Bourbon is aged in oak, not cedar.
True...but in context I'm sure he meant that the char of the oak barrels were creating a sort of cedar smell - which is a common trait.
I like scotch and Irish whiskey and bourbon and I've actually had Japanese whiskey.. wasn't bad but I prefer the other 3..
Thats awesome! It's good to know what you prefer. What makes you prefer the other 3??
None other than Julian Van Winkle drinks his Old Fitzgerald and Van Winkle Family Reserve on the rocks with a twist. But what does he know?
I prefer my bourbon neat, because I like to appreciate every aspect it has.
Ahhh a kindred spirit! Us too my friend
Is the coffee cinnamon simple syrup something you make yourself? Have a recipe?
