@@MischiefMakerTV I didn't know if 10 or 15 would be preferred. The thing that annoys me is that PT kind of left the 2 door soft top behind. There's 0 ways to mount it for the JL. So in my eyes the 10# tank is just more easy to manage. But for anyone with a 4 door the 15 is awesome.

I have a budget diy co2 tank setup and am slowly upgrading the parts as the cheap amazon parts fail and i think the handle from power tank is an awesome piece. i have upgraded already to their hose and filler and the competition clamp and am extremely happy with those items but the handle would be a great give away item. Thanks Holly for this informative video I am a subscriber and love your content. john
One thing I've always have had in my vehicles is a can of air in case I have a flat in a area where I cannot change the tire safely. Or when I see someone with a flat that needs help. I've pulled over countless times to help someone change a tire or inflate them with a tire inflator. I could imagine with a large power tank you could really help yourself out and others. Maybe a tank and some tire plug kits would be a good give away:) Take care, love the Jeep and content!
They'll work on any tire but you'll have to get a little creative if you'd like a hard mount. We also sell padded speed bags if you'd like to pack your Power Tank with the rest of your gear instead of hard mounting it.
You should mount the arb compressor somewhere out of the way and just have it available for backup, believe me one day you will be glad you did. Keep shooting great videos Hollie!! Everyone loves someone that has a power tank. If you put a schrader valve in your system after the power tank is empty you can use it as a tank for the arb and you can still run air tools 🧰
I would say one of the complete power tank kits. With the analog dial for airing up tires. I have been trying to save up for one for a while but you know something always comes up and drains the money.. can't wait to see your next video
good video, I think the 15lb tank with the hose, clamp and inflator would be a great setup to give away. I personally use a scuba tank setup for my air because I own several tanks and have access to a scuba compressor to fill the tanks. But I am not averse to having a CO2 setup also!!!!
Running 40’s and filling up with the regular ARB a 15lbs Power tank Mischief Maker addition would be an amazing give away. Needs to have Mischief Maker tag on it! Oh and to pick it up would need to be a wheeling trip with you and the Power tank crew. 🤪
Very very verg niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice video i ask you some videos before about so much stuff you carrie xplain what it is and why and this one of this videos i want very great video if you can shear more of what did you have on the jeep THANKS
Some points I didn't see you explain in the video. The CO2 is stored as a liquid and at high pressure. The regulators bring the pressure down to a manageable PSI, so you probably have +/- 100 PSI at the inflation hose - same as most on-board compressors or shop air systems are regulated to. When the CO2 tanks are empty, they need to be refilled by a vendor, at a cost for every fill - you can't refill them trail-side, like your on-board air system. And being a high-pressure tank, it has inherent safety features - if the tank gets punctured during a crash, it will not be good. While they are a great system, they do have downsides and inherent risks.
Great points, Willie. Yes, they do need to be filled by a vendor, but I wheel way more than most (2-3 times per week) and a 10lb bottle lasts at least 6 months. The average person who wheels less often could probably get away with filling their tank (which usually costs between $28-35) every 2 years and wheel in complete silence. Also, these tanks have survived years of abuse and improper mounting (Being smashed, falling from truck beds at speed and recovered roadside years later still operational, etc…) and not resulted in a critical failure. Also, there are several well-documented cases of highway crashes where properly mounted tanks remained planted, unharmed and operational after the fact. Also, Power Tanks are easily removable (and very handy around the house) if damage resulting from everyday driving are a major concern. As far as the pressures available to the user, Power Tank’s regulator allows you to leverage between 250-400psi of constant pressure (depending on which regulator you decide to purchase), which is pretty hard to match with an onboard compressor and a huge difference in time savings when you have 40” plus tires. All considered, I think the downsides and risks are minimal and completely reasonable - especially for my use case. 😊
I am planning to install an ARB in my Jeep. I still debate to go with power tank. I’m not much in rock crawling with my Jeep but I love to watch them. I’m going toward over landing.
If I were overlanding I would definitely have both. The importance of having an unlimited air supply if you plan to be off the grid for extended periods of time can’t be overemphasized enough. In fact, that was my thinking early on (which is why I originally had both). It’s all about finding the perfect solution for you...and for overlanding a compressor and air tank might be the best solution.
Co2 is an awesome thing to have and use. I have yet to buy a PT setup for the fact no one in my state will fill a tank. They only due tank swaps. So I would have to buy a fill station. Kinda bites, but PT stuff looks killer.
I've used nitrogen in off road race pit situation. It works great with air tools and refilling tire as well. The plus is for shocks where c02 is not. Great channel, like watching you roll
Personally, their Monster Valves have been a game changer for me. I have the KMC Edition, no drill/tap & it's insane how fast you can air down & if airing up a regular valve stem with co2 wasn't fast enough for you, meet Mr. Monster Chuck...aired back up in well under a minute. Power Tank 4 the win!
I've trashed many of compressors on my rig. Submerged them, overheated them, got debris in them etc. I've always wanted PowerTank would be a great upgrade. Just a basic kit with an inflator would do. I also run ARB. Love that locker.
Having a power tank is probably my favorite thing on my Jeep. The only downside is that on this side of the country there isn't much refilling, only tank swapping. They actually told me 10# tanks are being phased out sadly. If you want to do a refill it takes like 2 weeks.
@@jakobwest4811 Have you ever looked into your own filling station? It never hurts to be "that guy" that can fill tanks for other people. I'm sure it has its challenges, but gas companies, I'm sure, would love the business.
How many times can you fill your tires on a tank? How much does it cost to fill the tank? My pump is like 5 years old now and it takes FOREVER to fill up my tires. Most of the time it overheats and I end up getting help from someone to fill my last tire or two. I would love just the basic 10 or 15 lb tank package!
I think maybe the only downside to using a tank for your lockers is you won't hear the compressor kicking on so you won't know you have a leak. Almost everyone i know with air lockers has trouble with them. I am poor so i have automatic lockers but they never fail to engage. :)
A 15 lb Power Tank like one of Hollie's is good for (33) 40" tires adding 10 psi each. Cost is dependent on your area but typically between $15-$30 for a refill.
I’ve had the tank filled in several states and I’ve been charged anywhere from $18-32 for a 15# tank to be filled. $25-27 most commonly. You will be shocked at how fast a PT can air up your tires. I’m always impressed. One thing I’ve never really done is keep track of how many times I’ve used the tank between refills, BUT I have a good excuse. I rarely fill my massive tires up regularly because he spends so little time on the road. I typically use the tank to adjust pressure here and there (across the jeep, tow rig and trailers). The main reason it ends up empty is because I often lend it out to others on the trail and at the trailhead and it would be difficult (and a bit awkward) track how many tires/what size tires, in that scenario. That’s a great question though and Powertank has a handy chart on their site that might give you a more useful answer than I could provide. Check out the description...I’ll add it there now!
@@ProjectXJ Unless your rig is very heavy or you're running super low tire pressures on the trail, you may be able to get by with being more conservative on your air ups. I go from 12 psi to 22 psi on my 35s. With a larger tire, you can run less pressure on the street since you have more surface area from your tires.
I use a 120 psi nail gun compressor powered by a 1200 watt inverter. I need something that takes up less space as my rig is a 2 door hardtop and there is not a lot of room. A power tank might be the answer.
I love my Powertank, but have mostly quit using it because of the space it takes up. Do to other things I carry, I can't mount it in a normal place. Also, my 10# tank is good for at most two air ups on my 37s. The other problem I had is getting time to get the tank re filled. I ended up carrying a compressor all the time as a back up, as sometimes I could only get 7 tires, not 8. It just became more headache than it was worth. I still use it in my work truck, and will never get rid of it. If my ARB compressor dies, I may change my mind.
Sounds like you’ve been going back and forth! I’ve been doing that for a while now but this last time when I had a leak , I just decided PT was for me. I still carry the compressor also but I doubt I’ll need it ( if you don’t have something you always need it and if you have it you don’t.... that’s just the way right🤷🏻♀️🤣) Since we did delete the back seat we do have that room for the tanks but I get that they take up room 😁 Thank you so much for watching the channel and see ya soon 🤘🏻
Looks like a sweet setup. I've not had much exposure to PowerTank but I will be looking into it. Where do you fill the CO2? An airup system is want interests me most.
It would be nice to win a powertank, id be stoked to own one but it would feel nice to find an offroader in need and hook them up. The world is having a tough time right now and many people are feeling it. I just think it would be great to give one to someone who may be down a bit so they could smile and give them an excuse to get out again.
I would love to have a Powertank! I have a ARB Compressor and it does ok, but it is loud and I keep blowing out the air lines. I guess because of the heat. #15 Tank and accessories, boot and that protective handle , esp that air pressure gauge you have. Might as well dream and wish big! Thank you for this giveaway chance.
If it weren’t for the compressor going off you wouldn’t have know you had a leak until it was too late, obviously you had a substantial leak that would have bleed the tank or tanks dry unless you have a low air warning buzzer. Sorry for the really real review unless it was for the arb having a failure, which you didn’t mention. I do love how you work on your rig Thanks for the videos!!
That’s not exactly true. Ive also had a compressor that had a faulty pressure sensor and was going off randomly and had to diagnose that...the major indicator that the seals in my ARB Air Lockers had failed were that they weren’t locking. This move is a recognition on my part that I will be doing more frequent and through maintenance (pressure testing for leaks AND checking the tank weights) since I will be relying solely on the tanks. The good news is...barring a complete loss of pressure, the Powertank(s) should be able to get me off the trail...30# of liquid CO2 is a helluva lot of pressure. 😅
How well does it work with power tools and how expensive are refills? Been torn between this and a compressor as far as value for the money, since I don't wheel often enough. Love the channel!!
It works extremely well with power tools. You’d be shocked how powerful the output is with the XP400 regulator (400psi output with 45 com flow rate). You can find more specific details on power tool use here: powertank.com/pages/tire-air-up-chart
Holly power tanks are cool was going to do there kit for one of my old steel scuba tanks lol are you any chance maken ToplessforTATAS next month ? Be awesome to see yea again and in person how mischief maker has change in person ....and Walter miss yea guys
Does that mean you are giving away the ARB to a loyal fan? ;) I would love a powertank but running a TJ with kids in the backseat so space is very limited. I think a 10# package would work for me.
I want a power tank but truthfully can’t afford it. (Jeep life) haha. I use a portable compressor and it gets so hot I burned myself on it the first time I used it. Hey I can’t complain at least I’m self sufficient out on the trail but I still want the best of the best. I’m sure you understand. It’s a jeeper girl thing. 😉🤭🤣
Any welding supply place (except the few counties I’ve been in where it isn’t allowed). For the most part I’ve never had trouble finding a local place to fill them as we have traveled the US.
If you're not overlanding, maybe consider dual 10 lb or dual 15 lb tanks. You only have to carry one at a time and you can leave the other in the garage ready to swap out in a moment's notice.
Would love to have a power tank for airing up at end of the day and I have a pretty nice compressor but after using my buddies tank much faster just haven’t had the money as always til tomorrow stay safe.
So it actually depends on what you’re using it for, what size tank and tires you have. If you head over to their website they have a chart and you can figure out just how long your tank would last for. I haven’t really wheeled with this new set up yet so can’t answer that. powertank.com/
I spend a few minutes going over the pro's and cons of going with only a cO2, I so agree with the sound of a compressor going on and on when using air tools, they take alot of air to push those things, IM not sure if id be comfortable with just the c)2, I think the main reason id have for one would be for someone that needs porta air for tools. Repairs on the trail, this is a big one, We all know the good ol high lift jack, I tossed that to the side and carry a forward reversing air ram with some atachments I made up, Beside being able to lift an unbealivable amount of weight. Also can pull alot of weight, Can bend those ever so nasty bent parts back into place. Can get your tires up out of the mud to make it easier on the winching, Its just endless i tell ya, I just thought about that,, bent parts,, stuck in mud, fixing other broken parts, And this to us is a fun having good time of a weekend? Hell ya it is and cant wait tell the next time, We have all got to be bloody bonkers, Ya think? Happy wheel girl. Maybe catch y'all on the trail one days, Send out a shout if you going wheelin in socal and ill try and keep up with y'all, I have a few tricks of my own up my sleave, I dont think I spelled that right, Oh well.. wheel on
Great video 👍. Would love a system but 15lb tank looks so big .have small tires compared to yours thinking about a small tank how many times can you air up before having to fill it up and have you found it hard to find a place that will fill your tank
Any welding supply place can fill the tanks and the only time I’ve had trouble is when I’m at Windrock park. Apparently, the closest place is about 1hr away from Oliver Springs 😂😂
So it depends where you get them filled up but I got 2 15lb tanks and 2 10lb tanks filled for $35 in Utah. Georgia it was $30 for a 15lb tank. But they last a good while. I’ll have to let you guys know which this new set up but if you call Steve and Tyler at Powertank they will be able to tell you how many tires / tools you can run per tank 😄
Love your show. Would love a chance to win a full powertank kit. Been debating how I wanna do my onboard air system. Compressor or powertank? Right now using a cigarette lighter Compressor and its a pain to air up 35s and im about to go to 37s end of the year
I don’t miss those days. I got off the trail one day at Rausch and right as we started airing up with the compressor the heavens opened up - torrential rain. We had a small group of 3 jeeps...1 from NJ and 2 from Long Island and we usually stopped at a restaurant in NJ on the way home. All of us were soaked (and freezing) at that restaurant and looking up powertank on our phones! 😂😂
10 lb is our best seller for a reason! It allows room for future upgrades by adding a second 10 lb spare bottle so you can effectively double your CO2, but keep the footprint in your rig small. Leave one at home always ready to swap in when the first is empty.
I use CO2 for airbrushing also in addition to air tools and airing up. Compressed CO2 rocks. I would love to have a 15lb bottle set up to go with my JLU.
I think the power tank system would be a great way to have air supply. I have the powerplant winch (winch with a air compressors combined) it just is to slow for airing up tires.
I really break my rig an wheel hard....just this4th July was at the Hammers hitting deap up turkey claw SOS an had got a flat an had to take the beadlocks apart... I could be back in air tools if I had one! .
Air tools are outdated, especially for trail use. I used to use them, but now have all Milwaukee M18 battery powered, and it beats any air tools I've ever used
Good choices and we certainly miss Utah! We facetimed Val yesterday and even though the temperature was like 104° we still kinda wish we were out there 💕

I hear ya loud and clear! Mischief is just chilling while we wait for his parts to arrive. Hope you’re staying safe 😀
@@MischiefMakerTV well if Mischief is just chilling, I do hope that you guys are getting to chill some also. Staying Safe here, just getting the new jeep build rapped up and hoping to get to do a shakedown run soon!!!
I already have a regulator, hose, handle, and inflator but I don't have a tank from them. I would love a 15# tank and a boot and I'll get one soon. If you have away a 10# tank kit that included everything someone would get an amazing gift!
Thanks for the feedback. I figured a lot of folks would go for the bigger 15#, but there are a lot of requests for the 10# package!! 😀👍🏻
@@jakobwest4811 We blame Jeep for not having a factory Power Tank mount!
@@PowerTankOfficial good response haha. I'll find a way to rig something up one day. Just need to do some CAD (cardboard assisted design) and welding.
Cool explanations of the system
Would love to see a giveaway with a 15 LB power tank! Started watching your videos so that I can partake in my husbands love of Jeeping. Thank you for the great videos and info!
Hey Frances!!! Awesome thank you for your feedback for the giveaway! That’s awesome! Do you like wheeling?
It’s something I love to do with him and never thought I would. I admit I bring along my glamping supplies to make it cozy after wheeling.
Keep up the awesome videos Holly! I’ve been looking into power power tank. I really would like to try them. I would love it I kno it! I didn’t know you can run lockers on them as well!
Yeah, that’s a sweet little bonus to having on board CO2 for sure! 😄

This is an awesome product - well thought out and love my 15lb tank. To many options to list not to mention they look good.
Thanks for sharing, Hollie! We've loved seeing MM and your driving skills develop over the past few years.
Power Tanks are awesome. I love my 15lbs bottle. I would never go back to a compressor set up.
The entire setup that u have for the tires really like the hose and gauge on the inflator
Good choice!!
I vote for the full tank package! I’m still using a portable battery clamp compressor. I surely need to upgrade from that!
PT package: tank, hose and gage. I been looking for some type of on board system for my Cj....looks like this is the way to go! ✊🏼
Good Evening!
Omg - would love your set up for airing up my tires!!! Currently using the dual ARB compressor and it’s so loud and takes a while.
It does...... the Powertank take less than 5 mins 😲
I love the idea of being able to take the PT from one vehicle to the other if a problem needed it
I want to know if its compatible with jeep liberty
Their CO2 tanks certainly are! 😀👍🏻
Thanks, Stu! And good suggestion! A complete kit is definitely the way to go. More to come soon!
good video, I think the 15lb tank with the hose, clamp and inflator would be a great setup to give away. I personally use a scuba tank setup for my air because I own several tanks and have access to a scuba compressor to fill the tanks. But I am not averse to having a CO2 setup also!!!!
Love a good DIY solution, and if that works for you now...you would love having on board CO2! 👍🏻
I must say that's one thing I really love about your show you always learn something new👍👍👍👍👍🥇🤗
Hahaha thank you Donnie! We all learn something new everyday right 🤷🏻♀️👌🏻
Running 40’s and filling up with the regular ARB a 15lbs Power tank Mischief Maker addition would be an amazing give away. Needs to have Mischief Maker tag on it! Oh and to pick it up would need to be a wheeling trip with you and the Power tank crew. 🤪
Wow!!!! Well why not and never say never 🤷🏻♀️🤣
PowerTalk option B would be awesome. Been looking at them for a couple years just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
I've been wanting a 15lb tank with the equipment to air up my tires. It's so much faster then a compressor.
It sure is ...... ok noted 😁
Nitrogen tank giveaway because 6Pak shocks😜
Ohhh! Good suggestion. That kit is KILLER 🤩!
Very very verg niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice video i ask you some videos before about so much stuff you carrie xplain what it is and why and this one of this videos i want very great video if you can shear more of what did you have on the jeep THANKS
Thanks so much for the feedback and supporting the channel 😃🙏🏻
MischiefMakerTV I believe your right!! Thanks for the info. Take care stay safe in this crazy world!!
Co2 is an awesome thing to have and use. I have yet to buy a PT setup for the fact no one in my state will fill a tank. They only due tank swaps. So I would have to buy a fill station. Kinda bites, but PT stuff looks killer.
Which state is that?
What about nitrogen?
Powertank has a great Nitrogen tank/regulator setup for refilling shocks. Great suggestion.
That’s awesome 🤘🏻 their products are very practical and makes our lives easier on and off the trails 😀
Just a prebuilt package would be cool be a good start for whoever's wins it
I've trashed many of compressors on my rig.
I just want a tank that I can put on my Jeep and fill up a lot faster at the end of the day. Much better than my compressor
@@PowerTankOfficial i have 35's so it sounds like i would get quite a few fills. I normally air up about 20 psi since i don't trailer my XJ.
I still carry the compressor also but I doubt I’ll need it ( if you don’t have something you always need it and if you have it you don’t.... that’s just the way right🤷🏻♀️🤣)
Since we did delete the back seat we do have that room for the tanks but I get that they take up room 😁
Thank you so much for watching the channel and see ya soon 🤘🏻
I need a tank. Definitely more convenient than a small compressor or finding somewhere to air up.
I have an arb single pump, but it doesn't pump up 35s. It would be great to get a tank that is effective.
Looks like a sweet setup. I've not had much exposure to PowerTank but I will be looking into it. Where do you fill the CO2? An airup system is want interests me most.
You can fill the tanks up at a fire extinguisher place or I fill my tanks up at welding places! Man I completely forgot to mention that!
Deffo give them a call because you can tell them all about your build and what your plan is and they will give you the correct setup 🤘🏻
Two years late again I would love to have a tank dang it
It would be nice to win a powertank, id be stoked to own one but it would feel nice to find an offroader in need and hook them up. The world is having a tough time right now and many people are feeling it. I just think it would be great to give one to someone who may be down a bit so they could smile and give them an excuse to get out again.
That’s an awesome idea! 2020 sure has thrown all of us for a loop 🤪
@@MischiefMakerTV We will make it, many do and have done more with less. My best wishes to everyone out there.
Ok cool. Thank you 😀
All Power Tanks come as a package which saves money by bundling accessories.
@@PowerTankOfficial That is awesomeness!
Not at all I appreciate every comment!! Thank you for watching the channel, appreciate it 🤘🏻
That’s not exactly true. 😅
The PT it can do everything plus you can take it down the hill or over the hill.
You can find more specific details on power tool use here:

Does that mean you are giving away the ARB to a loyal fan? ;) I would love a powertank but running a TJ with kids in the backseat so space is very limited. I think a 10# package would work for me.
Yes, I will be giving away some Powertank equipment - details in an upcoming episode!

The main reason for wanting one is like you said, “airing up tires after wheeling”. 😁
I’m a bit crazy about tire pressure. I’m always making sure they are exactly where I want them when I’m out on the trail! 😃
Would say one of there prebuilt packages would be a great giveaway!
Oooooooo question where did you fill it up the Powertank ?
I normally find my local welding store 😀
Any welding supply place (except the few counties I’ve been in where it isn’t allowed). For the most part I’ve never had trouble finding a local place to fill them as we have traveled the US.
I've been thinking about getting a 20 lb. Tank for lockers and wheels. But I keep forgetting to order a kit.
20lbs? Wow ..... well I absolutely love the set up we have now! It’s quiet 🤣
@@MischiefMakerTV I'm only gonna run one bottle
If you're not overlanding, maybe consider dual 10 lb or dual 15 lb tanks. You only have to carry one at a time and you can leave the other in the garage ready to swap out in a moment's notice.
Would love to have a power tank for airing up at end of the day and I have a pretty nice compressor but after using my buddies tank much faster just haven’t had the money as always til tomorrow stay safe.
Okay, Tim! I’m counting your vote as a 15# tank 😜
How long does the power tank last you?? How often do you have to get one filled?
So it actually depends on what you’re using it for, what size tank and tires you have. If you head over to their website they have a chart and you can figure out just how long your tank would last for.
I haven’t really wheeled with this new set up yet so can’t answer that.

How long does your power tank last for air ups and running tools? And what does it cost to fill them?
So it depends where you get them filled up but I got 2 15lb tanks and 2 10lb tanks filled for $35 in Utah.
Georgia it was $30 for a 15lb tank. But they last a good while. I’ll have to let you guys know which this new set up but if you call Steve and Tyler at Powertank they will be able to tell you how many tires / tools you can run per tank 😄
A 15 lb Power Tank like one of Hollie's can air up (33) 40" tires adding 10 psi or remove 540 lug nuts from a 1/2" impact
15 lbs tank and inflator
Excellent choice. My fav setup (obviously 🤪)!
The plastic bottom boots break way to easy.mine broke right away. They should have made them out of a durable hard rubber.
I have similar feedback and will definitely share that with Steve and Tyler the next time I chat with them! Thanks for supporting the channel! 😀🤙🏻
@@MischiefMakerTV awesome! I like the boot because I slide the bottle up till the bracket is at the boot, but the boot just slides down.
I know for me I’m looking for at the 10 gallon Power Tank set up at the moment. I am so tired of the ARB crashing.
I could be back in air tools if I had one!
.
That’s the exact situation where Powertank systems shine! 👍🏻
Air tools are outdated, especially for trail use.
I used to use them, but now have all Milwaukee M18 battery powered, and it beats any air tools I've ever used
Give Away 1 tank with glycerin filled gauges. 1 Hose just like yours. 1 digital gauge air chuck like yours. Thanks for the overview! Utah misses you!
Good choices and we certainly miss Utah! We facetimed Val yesterday and even though the temperature was like 104° we still kinda wish we were out there 💕
Giveaway & Items of Interest - The Stiffy Regulator Coupler Upgrade is one that would like to do because I do have the issue where I get a tiny leak when the coupler gets cold. Good giveaway items would be "Monster Valve Rapid Air Up/Down Kit" and/or "Pro-Series Tire Repair Kit" which everyone should carry! Obviously if they are willing to spring for a complete 10lb or 15lb power tank kit I don't think anyone would pass that up.
Good point about the tire repair kit! Those are a must. That’s an easy add-on, but I’d love to get one of you guys a full tank package! 😀👍🏻
