  • Albuquerque's War Zone is a dangerous area, with very high crime rates. Murder rates, open air drug use, prostitution and poverty aren't hard to find within the "War Zone".

It takes almost 2 months to get to the intake appointment and then another month or two to see the doctor and the medication is expensive if you don’t have insurance especially if they take that fentanyl and all the other weird stuff they need a lot of meds and maybe other types of treatments and possibly move to help them transition

@@dcraexon I remember the night I got on my knees and cried out to the Lord to save me. I came to the Lord feeling hopeless, because nothing that I had done and tried to get me clean and sober ever worked. I remember crying out to the Lord and promising him that I would serve him if he would heal me, After a while I passed out and fell asleep. When I woke up after a few hours, I felt brand new. All the addiction, guilt, anger, helplessness and torment was gone. It was a miracle, I've been clean and sober going on 13 years and I'm in Ministry sharing my testimony to whomever will listen.
I didn't like going to meetings every day just to be a sober sinner, I wanted salvation which I got through Jesus Christ.
From a life of madness, I now live an amazing life giving God all the praise honor and glory every day.

Hello 🌷 I would sure like to go visit Brooklyn, NY someday. I only see it in the movies 🎬. My Aunt lives right in the middle of the War Zone. When I go visit her I always take stuff I don't want like shoes, purses, gloves, snacks, make up, even stuffed animals and randomly give them to ladies I see in the streets. They get so happy and it makes me happy. I feel so bad for all 😂 homeless. Thank goodness I can take care of my Mom or I would be homeless. It's scary to even think about being homeless, at my age I know I wouldn't survive the streets. My husband died and my grown son lives in Phoenix. He wants me to go live with him when Grandmas gone. But I might just go before her. I only dream of having my own home in Sedona, AZ 🏜️. Key word, Dream. Anyway, Best Wishes from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA 🇺🇲🍀🙏💝☮️

Albuquerque faces the same problems as major cities, just on a smaller scale. I believe one of the big problems in Albuquerque is democrat government, things only continue to get worse and have for decades. The American dream is dead for most people born in New Mexico, they’re born here and will die here. It’s sad that I’ve met people in New Mexico, that have never left the state in their life. The government here does nothing but enable the crime and drug problem, the jail is over flowing and they can’t keep people for petty drug charges and other non violent crimes. The offenders know this, and know exactly what crimes they can commit without getting arrested. It’s enablement, they have no deterrent .

Sadly the drug problem there looks minimal compared to Kingsington Street in Philly or Los Angeles or even the tenderloin district in San Francisco or Portland, Oregon. The people here seemed all like normal people just struggling with addiction but in these bigger cities you see so many people with mental illness on the streets talking to themselves acting very strange, so I think mental illness is one of the biggest issues our country needs to address along with addiction support to help the people and these communities.

Went thru Albuquerque 30 years ago on a greyhound to TX😊. The driver said don’t leave the station it’s dangerous. This time the bus driver said stay on the bus it’s not worth getting robbed or worse. Never heard that from a bus driver in any of the cities listed above. This is wild Wild West danger. Not city danger.

Why could they not put a concerted effort to rehabbing some of these kids even if it means putting them in a facility for a year or so and tyring to get them off their drug habit. As a New Mexico resident, a former drug abuser and recovering alcoholic, as someone who lived in the war zone, and as somebody who has done lots of homeless outreach ministry, I can tell you that getting the fentanyl out would lower the death rate, but it wouldn't lower the property crime and gang violence. Before fentanyl it was meth. Before meth it was heroine. Before that it was crack and booze. Same old song and dance. Also, victimizing addicts doesn't help them, it only gives them justification for their behavior. Recovery is about extreme ownership of our own shit. It's not society's fault. It's not a conspiracy orchestrated by the man to keep you down. It all falls on YOU. Own your shit! There is help and resources available to those who really want it. I've seen people get off the street! But you gotta want it more than anything. Godspeed and God bless.

When I was there I remember wondering how many pedestrians get hit every year. More often then not around military bases are not good areas but in ABQ it’s worse than most. They close the Wyoming gate at night because it’s so bad. On base houses used to get broken into from people jumping over the base wall and robbing base homes. Albuquerque is not all bad though. To me this Canadian guy seems a little cynical, he thinks everything in the war zone should look impoverished and full of zombies, some days are worse than others. There's a lot of people suffering from addiction, prostitution and hunger in other areas too. You can't judge a place you don't live in. I saw your other videos saying you can't feel the danger or tension, oh trust me you can if you live there. I lived here and suffered through drugs, racism, school bullies, classism, people who want to fight you just for looking at them, being looked at or talked down to, just for being an immigrant. It's extremely scary because you don't know how to act anymore, this makes people grow up very insecure. I still experience it to this day it doesn't go away. Chris I don't think you're a bad person, I think you're just a white privileged man who hasn't suffered. You can't speak on your own feelings but rather ask people who had bad experiences. The only way to know a place is if you you live there.

A woman in my neighborhood moved from Albuquerque and she told me some wild stories and she sounds so at peace that she left that place behind. Nice lady, hopefully she figures it out over here, plenty of opportunities for her.

The brutality and senseless killings are commonplace. One example of this was the fatal shooting of Daniel “Heath” Mora, a Security Officer, at the Ambassador Inn…Now the Day’s Inn by Wyndham Albuquerque off I-25. In the video of the shooting is on UA-cam. His killer shot him with little warning and had an extensive violent history unchecked by the judicial system.

Judges carry a huge amount of the blame. Also: look up your local drug rehab and see if it's owned by a judge. Ours is. Conflict of interest much.

Indeed... Criminal politicians, BAR associates, prison industrial complex, cops, et al "for hire," and "niche business" funding. (Stealing (s)elections, and 'enabling' the "War OF Drugs!") This place reminds me of North Mesa, Arizona. And ALL "sanctuary states" and cities... will "by de$ign" also soon be even worse... with "immigrant" gangs, and more new addicts... on the streets. (Later then leading to "Martial Law," as long planned.) WHY anyone with offspring, that isn't part of "the element" would STAY in one of these places... in beyond, me. (And worse: The long- standing PLAN has been to do this to EVERY "E$G'd Sanctuary City," in the Western plus world = 13,000 of them?!) @@freeirishmexicanamericangi9199
