This has already been debunked but William is falling for the shock value. There's literal proof that right after that show, Prince quickly rushed to the studio, his own manager Eric Leeds has verified this. MJ stayed at the award show. This lie actually came from Quincy Jones telling MJ after that award show that Prince was trying to hit them with a car but it wasn't Prince it was a crazy fan that got away. Quincy than told MJ that it was Prince & what's even funnier is the MJ fans called Quincy a liar because Quincy said that MJ stole a lot of music & he was greedy with money & fame. Yet there are fanatics that choose to believe this story because of the Prince & MJ rivalry, which btw, MJ & Prince would hangout together privately , years after this. There's numerous band members & bodyguards who have spoken about MJ & Prince hanging out behind closed doors. You can do the research on youtube. Type in "Prince & MJ ping pong." So their rivalry clearly wasn't that deep lol
Thank you!!!
THANK YOU!! I never heard the WHOLE story! appreciate that! i had heard about the ping pong😁😁
Prince was after Mike and his Mama in his little red Corvette.
Saw them both live, lucky me... I would be team Prince today...❤
"Base in my face" 🤣🤣
Crazy egos and crazy insecurities.
Prince and Michael were extremely competitive, but I believe that was more in public than behind the scenes. Latoya has said her family and Prince’s entourage used to hang out together and go places like the skating rink together. Prince was a big Sly and the Family Stone fan and would study their performances. MJ would often send Prince any performances of theirs that he came across.
Will I Am is hilarious.I just watched the James Brown video and he described it very well.
I want more Will-I-Am stories! That was great!
I've heard him tell that story before. But, he goes into more detail here. Michael Jackson knows when he's being disrespected. When you say Michael was known for other things. What you mean? Prince with all due respect was petty at times. Playing the Bass and looking at Michael probably felt like an unnecessary jab to him. Michael got him on the James Brown show. The reason why Michael talked like that for years for the preservation of his voice. He does have a deeper timbre.
The flip side of ego is insecurity .
they were competitors - but they didn't hate each other!
"Wyclef!" 😂😂😂
His dad was a MONSTER, fucking sad is what that was.
There's lots of videos on here with MJ using his real voice, it's deep as yours
It is deeper but not as deep as Polo’s.
Hilarious story. Will and his impersonations took it over the top
You should check out Chris Rock interview with Prince back in 1997. Prince talks about MJ and how he turned a duet on MJ’s song ‘Bad’. Prince kept it real.
There was no hate😊 there was mutual respect and prince was visibly shaken when mj died😢 and said he listend to his music the whole day that day.
But there was a healty competition😊 and playing the media 😅 …rip both Truly masters of there Craft and both GOATS in there own right✌️😎✨Amsterdam the Netherlands
Who knows what's true in all that, but that was some freakin' awesome storytelling by Will!
Prince and Michael were competitive in public. But then they'd have tea together at each others houses whenever they had the chance. The two were brothers from different fathers metaphorically speaking. Too much in common with their childhood. They actually had mutual love and respect for each other. Prince mourned Michael's death an entire week & locked himself up in his hotel room and canceled his rehersals to validate his time to remember Michael. And purpously named his son Prince after Prince for the musical talent and genius he respected Prince to be. It's just not something these two would publicly come forward with.
I think you are mistaken. Michael named his son Prince, in honor of his maternal grandfather, who was called Prince. But the fact that Paris had Prince's symbol tattooed on her hand says a lot about the way MJ saw Prince.
What a great story. True or embellished, good stuff.💜
😂 that was hilarious. Prince helped a lot of artists. Definitely one of my all time favorites
You should check out Robert Plant telling the story of Led Zeppelin meeting Elvis
In the 1990's Robert Plant and Geddy Lee ran into each other in the hallway of a small bed & breakfast in the Atlas mountains of Morocco.
They stayed in touch with each other and have met up several times since.
Highly entertaining and I’ve seen the James Brown vid he describes. Prince is very weird in it. React to it!!!!
What Will. I. Am is claiming in that video is not fully accurate, contrary to what the media and some in both fandoms are claiming, Prince and Michael were actually pretty chill with each other according to those that knew them and hung out with.
This narrative that they "hated each other" has been going in for years and needs to end.
I loved this. Please do more commentary on these types of videos.
Listen to The Cars. Let the good times roll
Love The Cars
I'm team Michael Jackson 👑 however I am so pissed off that Michael and Prince didn't collaborate on the album 😥💔💔
I love Will.I.Am he’s so witty! Loved Prince too so I believe Princes version 😂
They are having to much fun ❤ grandma wishes I was there ❤ peace ✌️ Polo...
Don't know anything about the feud, but I like both of them, great artists!
Lenny Kravitz says they were friends!
Good impression ❤ 2:35am grandma may need that book ❤ ✌️ Polo ❤
This is bullshit..Prince came to his show when Michael played Minneapolis..And Michael went to his show in Vegas. Quincy perpetuated the whole Bad duet. And the reason Bad sounded the way it did. He wanted Michael to write all the songs like Prince was doing. People wanted a beef between the 2 but there was none. Prince cancelled rehearsals for 3 days after Michael died and played his songs in his sets after he died..No beef or hate there just people wanting likes on social media
good video, thx
It was hilarious.. subbed and liked
Legendary story
Never heard of this feud but now gotta watch the James Brown video❤
I dont think it was ego. I think it was just Michael feeling uncertain about if there was beef.
I like Prince, but he was a meanie.
Will.I. Am ❤
Polo, after watching your video I did take a minute to watch the video he suggested and it did happen pretty much as he said. So based on that I'd say there is something to the rest of the story.
I saw a recent picture of Janet recently. Damn “we” are getting old. I think we’re around the same age. Mid 50s.
He’s a meanie 😂
You are a spitting image of Will I Am except his glasses are sun glasses and different hats
Cause all black people look alike? 👌🤣
@@alpine1600s nothing like Mike Tyson or Red Fox
Have you heard Kevin Smith talk about his meeting with Prince? Fascinating and, from Kevin's delivery, funny. ❤️♾️❤️ Reaction video or not, you might find it interesting. Prince was a character - apart from being an amazing musician/artist.
The voice thing is called Code Switching... Everybody does it and so do you 😅
Mj and Prince didn’t hate each other fr it was jus a friendly competition the media made it out like they hated each other but it was never like dat and Mj did have a deep voice he jus talked light to preserve his singing voice you can look up shi of him talkin regular
Michael’s father’s story about protecting his kids from other people and Michael’s story about his father being abusive to hos kids, Can be both truth. I really liked the video about this topic of Michael Jackson and Prince. And the story teller being Will.i.am! 😃
I still don’t understand why Prince would ‘run’ him down with a car after that.
He was so funny. 😂
Here's a great montage of interviews, one with Prince, about their feud/friendship (it includes Will I Am's recount, as well):
ua-cam.com/video/TwOEXlikm3Q/v-deo.html
I dont think will.i.am knows anything
Yes true that! My bad..
but prince was a family name
If you hear the stories some of Prince former employees have told… they all said he was a genius… but was very hard and a diva… the complete opposite of MJ that did everything with always saying “with love”
I don't think the "Bass in the Face" moment was a jab at Michael Jackson because he couldn't play any instruments. Michael could play piano, drums, guitar, and possibly bass. However, MJ was an amateur instrument player compared to Prince who was a virtuoso.
Some other music "reaction" channels have turned to celebrity gossip. Please don't!
I feel like Prince liked Michael but just liked to tease him alot.
How would Michael sabotage the lamp post? That was James’ show. Doesn’t make sense. James Brown would have to be in on it. I doubt that.
Hell no the real beef was between Prince and Rick James Michael Jackson actually got along with both
Sounds alot like high school. 😂
OMG, This is hilarious!
Michael hated Prince, he said I was doing fine since I was really little.
👍🏽
Charlie Murphy
Michael's cool, Will is cool POLO is cool, but I'm not sure about Prince at all.
Only question , when Will said Ask Chris Tucker or Cello if you want validity...One of the guys off to the side asks ? Cello Green ? , my question is , how many Cellos does this fool know???
Otherwise , great story...
Prince and Mike were both legends in their art. I set aside the personal beefs from their art. I will say I like Prince better but I grew up to both and love their music just as much. ❤❤❤
Interesting. Loved them both.
Did u hear the katt Williams interview. He said some crazy shit but that steve Harvey never lived in his car, that it was all lie.. thoughts?
I wouldn't trust Will i Am. 🧐
That Prince/MJ/ James Brown video was a horrible look for Prince. I don’t think Mike set him up. He wasn’t on his game. That’s the ONLY time I’ve seen him not give an A-1 performance. How he thought that light pole was real and not a prop is crazy. Not MJ’s fault at all.
So, the theory is, from Michael and Quincy, that Prince tried to run Michael and his mom over with a car because Michael asked James Brown to invite him on stage? That makes no sense. I’m sure Michael interpreted this wrong. Also, Prince seems like a jokester and someone who likes to tease and according to him, he has no animosity towards Michael (see his interview with Chris Rock). I’m thinking something else happened or someone got the wrong end of the stick.
Wow..celebrity gossip..good story, though. Prince was a musician. Michael Jackson was a performer. Both had big fat egos...
Michael was a perfectionist musician. Don't be fooled just because his instrument was his voice.

This is lies anyone can say anything. Really?
I loved Michael Jackson. But I freaking LOVE Prince! Prince was confident and maybe a little quirky. He was a true skilled artist with a true artist personality and a very Dee thinker and felt everything on the deepest level. He was definitely a unique individual and his songs could move me like no other. M.J. was a true pop artist who was an amazing entertainer. They were just vastly different personalities and artists. RIP to both of these legends. 💜
Prince 💜☔️
I don’t think it’s true
Don'tike this channel. Making fun of Micheal. Sick!
That's a wasted reaction to a total BS video. Thought higher of you. There was no hate at all between them.
If there was a feud between them, then why did MJ name his son Prince?
🤯
It was not a compliment. He was basically signaling Prince was subordinate to him….
Aka “who’s your daddy?”
😂
Michael father's middle name is Prince
Because he wanted to make sweet love to him.
You believe that crap?
Thirsty much for clicks?
The "other things" that MJ did have tarnished the memory of a great artist to me unfortunately, that's a tragedy, but I cannot get past it.
MJ over Prince all day long...
Prince could play almost every instrument.
