Hey We just discovered you a couple of months ago. We're in our mid 50's and you inspired us to use the monkey bars. Started off by hanging, to one-handed hangs to swinging from bar to bar. Quick question how can I stop the callouses on the hands. We do use chalk
Hi Mike! Awesome to hear 💪🏼 You can’t really stop them, you just have to manage them Chalk only really helps with grip ✋🏼🤚🏼 I at one stage used to shave off my calluses when I was training for the longest monkey bars. Not sure if you would’ve seen this video yet? My advice around hand management would be in there 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 ua-cam.com/video/sU88fyI118g/v-deo.htmlsi=6H9JkNlfIikmzyZZ
There’s probably a number of reasons for this! 1) naturally adopted it because it’s currently more comfortable for my arm 2) the techniques I’m doing. The full swing I’d be more likely to wrap my hand around. 3) how close the bars are to each other. I’d have to go over the bar and down under it within a shorter space
Wishing you well on a quick recovery!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great work man. You inspired me to train more on the monkey bars
Thank you 🙏🏼
Happy to hear it 🦾 keep it up 😁🐒
Thank you, I subscribed.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great video. It took me 4 months to build up my strength at age 70 to do the monkey bars…well worth it to embarrass my kids who can’t do them..ha,ha.
Awesome John 🦾

Ahh thank you.
@@mikehunt3640 you’re welcome
I love the monkey bars. Its just hard to find a gym that have them. And there arent many calisthenic parks in my area
I just noticed that your hands don’t wrap around the whole bar instead it looks like just a C grip with only the tips of your fingers holding on?

Im going to try the human flag
It’s a gold standard of Calisthenics
Have faith 💪🏼👊🏼
