Love your channel guys! Have you guys tried the old school method of installing sparkplug non-foulers onto the oxygen sensors throwing the code for your exhaust? It has worked on every vehicle I have ever put an cat-less exhaust on when it would normally throw a code. You just screw in the non fouler into the 02 bung, then the sensor into the non-fouler. Spark plug non foulers are $5 at any auto parts store!
Any possible walkthrough or advice for that rear camera relocation for the AVID bumper? Love the look of it on the spoiler, wouldn't mind doing it myself!
This channel is more about our trips and very few long term product reviews. However, I’ll check with Alan and Kristy to see we we can do one for our sister channel, North Texas Jeep Renegades.
Thanks for the upload. Will be following this channel closely. I currently have an Outback (2006), owned a Forester before and am actually considering a Jeep Renegade as my next vehicule since I want something smaller. Downside is that we don't get the 2.4 engine, we only have a 1.0, 1.3 and 1.4 turbo choice. IIRC, you guys also have the 1.3 turbo? Altough it makes great torque, I don't like small displacement engines :( .
@@RenegadeExpedition I agree, but I just don't trust small capacity turboed engines. I know technology has come a long way, but like you guys on the other side of the ocean always say: 'there is no replacement for displacement'. Still, the 1.3 or 1.4 is what I will have to choose if I decide to step away from Subaru.
@@RenegadeExpedition How much of a difference have you seen in general driving / towing with the 1.3T? I know you guys have tons of mods, but would there be much difference for the average consumer doing occasional off roading/ camping?

The 1.3 has more torque from what I’ve read but adding a turbo to a rig that I’ll be taking on trails seems sketchy to men
We have both the 2.4 and the 1.3T in our fleet. We all agree the 1.3T is better all around, and the little bit of extra torque makes a huge difference. When we took the Big Bend Trip, the 1.3T was averaging about 21mpg fully loaded. The 2.4 was around 19mpg. We have not reinforced the roofs on these, but we also don’t exceed the 150lbs dynamic weight rating. Hi! Does this snorkel come from the factory in the car? If it was you who put it, how high can it stand in the water without bringing problems to Renegade? I'm from Brazil.
The snorkel is aftermarket. It’s more for dust than anything else. If you were to add a snorkel and seal your air box it will help with water forwarding but be cautious with your electronics and transmission/differential breather tubes.
Not necessarily, just make sure all of the recalls have been completed. Also, make sure to pull the drip stick, some of the 2.4l had oil consumption issues. If it’s low on oil, I would walk away.
