I have a fair amount of leggings and tops from them over the past few years and they still hold up well with very minimal to no pilling (I only hang dry them, and wash with cold water, so I can’t speak if putting it in the dryer). The lighter colors are also squat proof which is a must.

Ive personally bought Halara items and have loved them. They feel like good quality and they look great on me, being a bigger girl. A problem i find often with ethical and sustainable clothing is the size and cost issue, like you mentioned. They dont carry sizes that fit my chest, and they are always like $50 for a plain tshirt and $100 jeans. The built-in bras in Halara items actually do offer enough support, because the item itself fits tighter as well, so between the two, it works. I’ve been missing the chatty and long videos. Im so excited to be seeing this style come back. I’ve been watching you for over 6 years and love seeing you “ramble on” and being yourself!!! 💕☺️
I have to say I LOVE how supportive Mia is about people being different and wanting different things. I adore that she lets us know in her videos, if somethings isn´t for her, but that she is still being super supportive about other people wanting that thing. Like, for example, she says she doesn´t want people to look at her butt, but at the same time she is in no way trying to shame people who do want to show off their butt, and I love that. We stan a supportive queen. ❤
Mia your changing corner is such a great idea and you’re adorable, I can’t believe people were making fun of you! We love your enthusiasm for sure! Also just a kind reminder everyone - more expensive items doesn’t mean the brand is being ethical, it could just mean they’re making more money off you. Generally, if a brand is ethical, you will be able to find solid information about it in quick google as they want you to know they are ethical. If you can’t find any information or can only find confusing round about answers that don’t seem to really answer the question, then they’re not ethical.
I'm sorta glad they make the golf dress with no built in bras. As a larger chested woman I can't buy products that have built in bras because they never cover or support enough.
I bought popflex leggings because of Mia's video. I realized that I don't want soft fabric for working out. I want something with a bit of compression and breathability, and any leggings must hide sweat marks. If Mia sees this, please consider testing the products to see if they hide moisture 😅
@@RaiaKisa I returned them because they were too short, so I never tested them while working out! In general though, I've noticed soft fabrics tend to show sweat stains more, but I don't know if that's the case for PopFlex :)
@@RaiaKisaI have multiple leggings from popflex and they are very soft but don’t show sweat. One of the pros of having someone who actually workouts designing the clothes is they know what to look out for haha.
I could binge Mia’s videos for days and days nonstop. Idk what it is, but I love this little lady, so wholesome, thorough, thoughtful, silly, amazing production, honest, and over all entertaining. I love you Mia and mama maples, Stuart, chip, tate and your dad!
I appreciate your perspective on these brands. Not everyone has the budget to shop sustainably and I agree brands should become more sustainable and ethical😊
To be honest, I had unsubscribed for a short period when you were doing lots of hauls from unsustainable companies like Wish. But you have done a complete 180 and now bring it up all the time in your videos and make a point of purchasing from small businesses. Couldn’t be happier and love the content! ❤
I love Mia’s enthusiasm and the way she researches everything she is talking about and the fact she doesn’t want to put pressure on us but on the big company’s YES you go girl ❤ they need a good shake up!! 👏
NGL I would too if I bought them with my own money. I'm not a heels girl but if I ever got Birkenstocks or Doc Martens God knows I would wear them until they fell apart.
@@callmecharlie99you should try to get dr marteens second hand! Lots of people sell them for cheap even if they didn't or barely wore them ! I do that now for a few years and i have a few pairs, they were in perfect condition !

Dear Mia, Thank you for taking the time to review Halara. Halara dresses women from all walks of life, and we are beyond grateful to hear from you. We are committed to supporting the well-being of people and the planet from day one. Our premium factories across East and Southeast Asia follow strict local, national, and international regulations and have certifications from recognizable international organizations, including standards ensuring worker health, safety, and living wages. Halara also operates in near zero inventory to avoid waste and landfills. We will share more on our Responsibility page in early 2024, along with evidence showing that Halara cares about all stakeholders in our value chain. Halara looks forward to staying in touch on this journey. :)
Who designed your dresses with built in shorts?? Who thought it would be a good idea to have to take it off to use the toilet? Did you know that girls actually do poop?
THANK YOU for always looking into sustainability of brands. I question it so much and people push these types of brands so much. Every time I hear some youth in my community say they buy from shein my heart breaks a bit!
I love Mia’s rawness it is so refreshing especially with so many influencers out here trying to sell anything to make money. I could watch you film anything your personality is what I love to watch 🥰
I know this is an older video but I love the commentary and the energy, not to mention the honestly 👀, the videos where your mom features are some of my favorites!! Love this channel, thank you for entertaining me!!! ❤❤❤
"A metallic stripe that is supposed to get lost in my crack." This is EXACTLY how I always feel about butt rouche leggings, but no one of-yet has said it out loud. Thank you, Mia, for speaking out and using your voice for this important cause. The masses need to know. ✨🙏 ✨🙏
I super appreciate your dive into the sustainability and ethics of brands! One thing I would note is that a brand's website should never be taken as truth without straight evidence. Like you said, "we hope" doesn't mean it's happening. Another common phrase is, "we are committed to 'sustainability'". Phrases like this are so vague and usually aren't backed up by evidence. So many people look to you for advice, so great job doing the work! Some great resources would be Shelbizleee and Gittemary here on UA-cam who are both big sustainability creators with lots to say about different brands and how to figure out what is green washing. Again, thanks for the work you're putting in!
So happy that Mia reviewed Halara!!! I actually searched for reviews when I initially considered purchasing with them, and ended up experimenting with one piece of jeggings in black. Luckily, it was a success and I absolutely love them and ordered a second pair. I can lounge in them and have been asked to give the link to family and friends, they were one of the $30-40 pairs with pockets. But still I’ve been afraid to get the active skirt I’d been considering that I now feel like I need it and know I’d want the “long” + I was worried about the faux denim in any color beside black. Thanks Mia!!
so happy to watch an influencer that sticks up for workers in other countries who work many hours with little money some don’t even have medical a lot of the time your paying for the product name i want to wear a comfortable outfit that fits my budget we don’t need clothing labels to be beautiful ps love your goose in the background i think the changing curtain is awesome
Just pointing out.. brands have always been shady and underhanded. Many popular and expensive brands don't abide by labour laws. I really appreciate how you support small businesses though Mia. You and your mum bring light into my life!
Hey Mia, I love how your newer videos include o much more about sustainability and ethics of brands, because its such an important topic! Thank you for bringing it to peoples minds
Im so glad youre bringing back the longer videos! I always get so sad when your videos end so fast! I could watch your videos all day! Lol. You and your mom are just the funniest! ❤❤
Mia, this is quite urgent. Are you able to please add a warning for the flashing lights in your videos please? I hope this is okay to ask, and I am sending you lots of love! ❤️ xx
Your videos are the definition of cozy! I’m so glad that you decided to start a UA-cam channel, because otherwise I wouldn’t get to know such a sweet and outgoing person who has a heart of gold 🥹💛🌟
Love the thorough review and calling big fashion corporations out for their *ahem* creativity with the truth. There are some brands trying to make slow fashion with organic cotton or recycled nylon/polyester and fair labor practices at a more accessible price point. Particularly if you check out their sales, you can get high quality basics for affordable prices. A few that come to mind - For Days, Organic Basics, Pact, and Under the Canopy for pj's/loungewear. Would love if you reviewed these kinds of brands!
You are honestly my content creation icon 🙌 The way you talked about the metallic line getting lost in your crack 😂 it really is like I'm just your bff hanging out with you I love it
As a toddler mom I loooove their dresses with the build in shorts. My favorite outfit for warm days. 😁✨ Nothing to worry about because of the shorts and pockets.
Well I started watching Mia just a few months ago and I'm in love with her videos. I really love her honest reviews and her in general. Also Mama Maples is my favourite..
I would be suuuuuper interested to know how these pieces wash/dry. Thank you so much for the very informative review! You are really doing your part to bring awareness and not judgement. Such an amazing job Mia. ❤️❤️
Ehm... my knees made sounds too, as in cracked a lot when I bent down. I didn't worry either at first. Until I got major inflammation out of nowhere (big reddish, hot knees, couldn't bend legs at all, barely walk, had to be sent to a hospital to get several injections every few days as well as other meds). Turned out that "out of nowhere" meant that my cartilage had been steadily deteriorating. I don't have ANY anymore, and my patella's can be moved up and down by hand! As a result biking and driving a car is no longer possible because the patella can get stuck in the wrong position - not just excruciating, but very dangerous in the moment. I was in my mid thirties when I took X-rays and heard, "There is nothing to be done anymore, and bone is now grinding on bone". Obviously that means the issues started years before that. Maybe you're completely fine, butknee sounds are definitely not always good. If there's any form of osteoarthritis or rheumatic conditions in your family and/or you're a dancer, athlete, construction worker or gardener (the type to sit on his knees a lot to fix tiles/road/plant & design stuff) then you can get osteoarthritis or any type of chondropathy in your knees as young as your teens or twenties.
idk if it was due to that but i've heard about cartilages in knees and i should have took medicine for it in high school but couldn't swallow the gelules so to this day, nothing has been done and no doctor looked it up since, hopefully it won't go that route but yeah, definitely worry a lil @@misssunnydee
@@_bebeboudeur_ If you are/were supposed to take meds for it back then already then they probably worried about bone deterioration which is common with osteoarthritis and tried to prevent it. I am going to assume this was something along the lines of Glucosamine/Chondroitine/ MSM. Very, very common. I was subscribed the something, but whenever I was in Greece - sadly no longer an option as I'm in a wheelchair now- I could get it in a powder. Perhaps search for the contents of the capsules (I can't swallow most pills either, certainly not those mega ass gel capsules. Torture 🥴) and see if you can get it in any other way. Two things to try: -Make and drink bone broth. Let's hope you're not vegetarian/vegan, cause this is really really healthy. Easy to make as well and extra cheap if you can get bones for free (knees, shoulder, etc). Especially for people with any kind of cartilage/ bone issues or those that *might* get them. - Collagen & gelatin powder. The first bit of scientific research shows that taking a glass of Collagen powder (depending on the reason you need it, you either take marine collagen or grass fed beef Collagen, the latter more for skin, nails, hair). This is basically what's in your bones, nails etc or used as build up for keratine. Extra intake could repare and prevent small damage and limit pain and creaking. In Europe one of the better brands is Great Lakes, but I'm sure you can do your own research for where you live. Good luck 🤗.
I wanted to say I appreciate you always try things on, even if they aren’t your stay or personal taste! I think that’s so amazing when you do these kinds of videos! ❤
I love how much effort she puts into her videos and how honest she is! It really makes me feel good knowing I can trust her opinions and get the background on brands!
I love how you reviewed Halara. You compared them to Popflex, talked about the quality, and ethical manufacturing. You also added the preference that you are not putting pressure on the views shopping but the brands who are producing to do better. Great haul and cute pieces! 😍💘
I actually really love Halara clothing and have been slowly changing most of my wardrobe into their pieces. Glad you agree with their quality for the most part
Do any of the clothes ever smell? I got the flare leggings and they reeked - a quick Google search told me it was likely formaldehyde... which is used to make fabrics wrinkle resistant, but also to protect against mildew. Even after airing them out and washing them a few times, they still have a strong odor, and I'm afraid to wear them now. I have a gift card from a return (I bought 2 sizes trying to figure out my size), but now I'm hesitant to buy any more. I'm hoping I just got a "bad batch."
This was a really well and concisely thought-out, researched, and presented video on a topic that can be touchy! You were sensitive to everyone's needs, including people who don't feel they can reasonably expend a ton of energy and/or money on sustainable clothing, and placed the blame where it belongs (in my opinion). Well done!!!
I got a halara dress a few years ago before the popflex drama and I really like it. The fabric is nice, I like having the shorts under it, and I can dress it up or down.

I find it interesting that the patterned skirt usually isn't your style. The color + the pattern looks SO YOU!! Especially with that older retro look you have going
I have never thought of Halara as a active wear company bc I buy everything but the active wear clothing (well I guess some leggings and stuff but that doesn’t mean it’s active wear) and I wish you tried more of the “non-active wear” bc they have some AMAZING stuff but yea I don’t consider them active wear but yea maybe next time you’ll consider trying more of the clothing and I actually love that black top on you! I'm literally bracing myself for the day Mia forgets to duck and hits the changing pole 🫣 love you Mia 🍁
😂 hopefully not 🥺
Same, I hope she doesn't clothesline herself!
still waiting for Mia to give us her guide to a cute and comfy wardrobe that she promised like 4 years ago lol
I think she is still building it herself, so no guide yet...
@@MrsBuckBuckthat’s fair! I just want to know her knowledge haha
Lemme guess….sweatpants 😅
I mean, do all the fashion videos she puts out give you no ideas as to where she is buying clothes? lol
@@innocentnemesis3519it’s not about where she buys clothes but the things to look for to make the most out of the wardrobe ?
Mia breakdancing with a book in her skort pocket 9:35 is something I didn’t know I needed today 😂❤ she always brings so my joy-much appreciated
I swear I haven't heard of half of these brands but I'm always SO invested by the end
I go out and buy products Mia reviews. Crazy because I’m probably her Grandma’s age. She is so cute and honest.
@@denisemanley5318that’s great, bcs there is no age limit on products or clothes! :)
I feel this. It always just looks kinda funny, like you have enormous or weirdly shaped nipples
I'm small chested, between a B and C cup, and I hate built in bras, they feel and look bad
I have a small chest, but it seems like when they have built in bras, they're not positioned right for me. Up too high or something. I hate them.
I love how transparent and honest she is about everything ❤️
I bought popflex leggings because of Mia's video. I realized that I don't want soft fabric for working out. I want something with a bit of compression and breathability, and any leggings must hide sweat marks. If Mia sees this, please consider testing the products to see if they hide moisture 😅
So popflex is showing sweatmarks and is soft?
I always feel so much better after watching Mia’s videos bc I feel like she gets my ethic and moral views lol
I like how she presents the info she found without judging.
To be honest, I had unsubscribed for a short period when you were doing lots of hauls from unsustainable companies like Wish. But you have done a complete 180 and now bring it up all the time in your videos and make a point of purchasing from small businesses. Couldn’t be happier and love the content! ❤
Same 😅
I love Mia’s enthusiasm and the way she researches everything she is talking about and the fact she doesn’t want to put pressure on us but on the big company’s YES you go girl ❤ they need a good shake up!! 👏
I love how Mia recently always tries to incorporate her Louboutin Heels in every video😂🫶🏼
I love the change room. It's functional and adorable ❤
Mia I love that you don’t just do a video to make money and you’re educating us and researching. You can tell your heart is in everything you do and we love it
Mia you and Mama Maples are genuinely a ray of sunshine in my life, i always look forward to your videos, you bring me comfort and positivity when I'm having a rough time. Im sending the most love to you and your family, and little Chip ❤ keep being you!

Dear Mia,
Thank you for taking the time to review Halara.
My shipment is coming all the way from China. Have you thought about an inventory warehouse in the US? it'll take a month now to reach me lol
28 minutes of a mia maples video is BLISSSSS ❤️❤️❤️
love the mae pfp ❤

THANK YOU for always looking into sustainability of brands. I question it so much and people push these types of brands so much. Every time I hear some youth in my community say they buy from shein my heart breaks a bit!
i discovered mia recently and at this point i could watch her do literally anything
I love Mia’s rawness it is so refreshing especially with so many influencers out here trying to sell anything to make money. I could watch you film anything your personality is what I love to watch 🥰
Personally love the changing zone and think its beyond genius! ❤
I love the longer video and the change room zone!!!! It genuinely adds so much to your videos xxx
I ordered from Halara last year and I love everything I got. Great quality and super soft fabric.
I know this is an older video but I love the commentary and the energy, not to mention the honestly 👀, the videos where your mom features are some of my favorites!! Love this channel, thank you for entertaining me!!! ❤❤❤
I have never seen a reviewer put SOOOO much effort into finding out more about the brand ... also we love mia
"A metallic stripe that is supposed to get lost in my crack." This is EXACTLY how I always feel about butt rouche leggings, but no one of-yet has said it out loud. Thank you, Mia, for speaking out and using your voice for this important cause. The masses need to know. ✨🙏 ✨🙏
Who else loves Mia????❤
MEEEE❤

Thanks Mia!!
i love when you try and do unbox and everything and not be biased, like you give your honest opinion and that's very refreshing
Absolutely love your content Mia. The hard work you put into these videos really does show. Hope you’re doing well 🤍
I love how transparent u are about sponsorships. Love ur vids Mia, always entertaining 🫶
so happy to watch an influencer that sticks up for workers in other countries who work many hours with little money some don’t even have medical a lot of the time your paying for the product name i want to wear a comfortable outfit that fits my budget we don’t need clothing labels to be beautiful ps love your goose in the background i think the changing curtain is awesome
I love the changing zone, it's so cute and the utility makes perfect sense for your videos
Just pointing out.. brands have always been shady and underhanded. Many popular and expensive brands don't abide by labour laws. I really appreciate how you support small businesses though Mia. You and your mum bring light into my life!
Don't listen to ANYONE your changing room is SO cute and I love it!!
Mia I watch your videos all the time at work and I seriously adore you and mama maples. You guys brighten my day !!!
I really appreciate you shifting the blame from the consumer to the company. I agree wholeheartedly!
You looked so good in that emerald green dress!! ❤ thanks for reviewing these, I've always wondered about halara
Hey Mia, I love how your newer videos include o much more about sustainability and ethics of brands, because its such an important topic! Thank you for bringing it to peoples minds
I love how thorough your reviews are Mia!
Oooh thanks for these options!
Mia never disappoints me
U ARE MY FAV. So classy, fun, smart, talented, can tell you and ur mom are besties! Literally love y’all
I love the sustainability discussion! Thank you for including that!
Really appreciate your transparency when you review brands.
I went to a physiotherapist and I had asked him about knee sounds and he said that actually healthy knees do make sounds so Mia you are all good! :D
Very reassuring because my knees crack a lot and have done that since I was a kid. 😅
Ehm... my knees made sounds too, as in cracked a lot when I bent down.
Two things to try:
-Make and drink bone broth.
I believe it's called crepitus. I have it too. I have to warn people my knees make that sound before I get up so they don't freak out...haha ☺
I've seen SO MANY ads on instagram and tiktok for Halara dresses and I've been so curious! So thank you for reviewing
Mia litterally slays in every dress🤌💅
Thats how u r rocking girll thnq for being honest and always truthful to your youtube family love u❤
I love how you reviewed Halara. You compared them to Popflex, talked about the quality, and ethical manufacturing. You also added the preference that you are not putting pressure on the views shopping but the brands who are producing to do better. Great haul and cute pieces! 😍💘
Thank you for the beginning Mia❤ mentioning how you’re not talking about the buyers but specifically the sellers❤
You literally read my mind yesterday when I was wondering if this brand was any good!!!!
I love my Halara! I have so many of their dresses and love the longer lengths. I always get compliments and I feel pretty.
Mia's videos are always able to put a smile on my face somehow ❤️
If they’re mocking you ; they’re envying you 😊 reviewing in real time while putting on clothes 😮❤ yay
i’m also so happy with the little change room😍😍😍 i just think you need to raise the bar up above the next shelf so you can walk straight out
If you ever need to test the anti pet hair tank top my cat is an expert at shedding 😂. She a 9lb ginger cat but somehow sheds like a husky.
And that's why i love your channel, you are a true influencer, thanks for all the info that you share
The fabric is nice, I like having the shorts under it, and I can dress it up or down.
the changing zone just needs cute cottage core quilted curtains! maybe with lace around the edges 🌼
Cute idea!

i love watching her videos, they put me to sleep. i have trouble falling asleep but her voice soothes me and relaxes my mind putting good thoughts into my head. so i just genuinely love her videos i can watch them at any time of the day.
I absolutely adore Halara for active, leisure, business casual, dresses, everything! I've got the crop tank in almost every colour and I love it, I also love their flare pants and I feel like Mia would definitely look amazing in some of their plaid flare pants they have on their site

OMG! You adressed this issue so well!!!
I bought 4 skirts from Halara in July (my first and so far only purchase with them) and omg they are my absolute favorite!!! They look so great on me, they are super comfortable and the quality is amazing. I plan on buying more in the future.
I find it interesting that the patterned skirt usually isn't your style. The color + the pattern looks SO YOU!! Especially with that older retro look you have going
I think the pink gingham skort was the best piece on Mia.
I absolutely LOVE that you discuss the ethics of a brand before the video
I have never thought of Halara as a active wear company bc I buy everything but the active wear clothing (well I guess some leggings and stuff but that doesn’t mean it’s active wear) and I wish you tried more of the “non-active wear” bc they have some AMAZING stuff but yea I don’t consider them active wear but yea maybe next time you’ll consider trying more of the clothing and I actually love that black top on you! Love you Mia 💜
I love you leaving in the bit in the beginning about finding out if they are ethical ❤
I love Halara, they are reasonably priced for clothes that are actually pretty well made. I’ve always gotten tons of complements on everything I’ve gotten from them, I really lean towards the skirts though!
That green dress she tried on I absolutely love! :) I also have just a plain black skirt and it was super comfortable for this past summer
Oh my god Mia thank god you did this I’ve been waiting for an honest person to do it
