Making some more beehives myself. This was very helpful

My granddad used to make his own, and he painted the outside and used roofing felt for the top, rather than stainless steel. Probably because it's less likely to attract metal thieves from miles around to investigate the shiny things.

Thank you for explaining it has removable slides for when the bees have made their own honeycomb! I was wondering how sheets of real honeycomb could be purchased, when they were from an artificial starter.
Great video. Hi from Belarus bee's forests! I have a question about the color of hives. Some hives are the natural wood color and some are painted white. Is there and advantage to painting a have white?
White would help to keep it cooler in the sun in hot locations

This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "alternative beehive construction" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Tiyia Beehive Basophilic - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got great results with it.

No they can make their own this just helps them out and makes it easier for the keeper to get out the frame, also helps the bees so the honey doesn’t collapse the cell with weight. Fascinating little creatures they make the combs out of wax and will determine how thick and strong it needs to be by how cold it is

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "best beehive starter kit" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Tiyia Beehive Basophilic - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my co-worker got cool success with it.

Find farmers in not-so-urban areas, and ask if they want hives by their fields.

It goes both ways. Sometimes it gives heat to the hive in a good way and other times it heats it up in an unfavorable way. Whatever the condition, bees are originally tropical and they can thrive and handle high heat. Also, they biologically can keep a closed box (like the hives here with only an entrance open) to a specific temperature quite easily. They cool the hive through the use of water evaporation and fanning bees. Google or UA-cam it, you'll see some cool stuff on how bees maintain the temperature of the colony within the hive.
No. Its has a over cover down the metal with small hole for air. While bees in the inner entrances swing their wings to keep a temperature for the colonie.
Bee hives are generally really high temperature anyway from the bees inside so they’re fine.

I live in Bangladesh I love bees I have a bee box. In our country, it is better to see a box than a box shot. I want to buy a box, brother.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you would be surprised at how small of a hole a mouse could fit, they would 100% bee able to get into those hives, especially the top hole
