Having more platters and play buttons is a massive benefit. I've added a cdj and turntable to my flx10 and it's so much better that pressing a button to swap between them.
I completely agree. The AZ dual-layer workflow, screen/on-air displays and buttons to switch between the dual layers make it super easy to juggle 3 to 4 decks without needing an external player. Try this first before adding another CDJ, save your money and booth space.
I completely agree. But the fact that you can't see all 4 wave forms at the same time on the main screen is strange and unpractical. Even an sc4 can do that (which costs 1/3th of the price).
I've got 2 CDJ 3000's and a V10 mixer. Love them, however it sucks to transport CDJ's. My thought process is to sell the V10 and get the XDJ-AZ, connect my 3000's to it so that I can have the same feeling of having 4 players but also have the capability of easier transportation if I want to just take the XDJ on the go. What are your thoughts on this... Worth it?
Correct on everything. But an extra player can store beats, sfx and emergency music. No one address’s the sound. Same on A-Z as 3000? Are the sound specs the same? Sound Comparison A9 with 3000 to A-Z? Sounds the same or which is better sound wise? Just wondering. Nice video. Thank You.
I disagree - but that is because I really dont like using one physical deck to control 2 sources - I remember years ago trying digital djing with 1st gen s4 and that had this feature, when plugged into laptop - I just plugged my decks into it instead. Last thing you need when doing 3 and 4 deck mixes is needing to remember which deck you are controlling 😂 I do agree that they should have made them more similar…
It's pretty easy to remember what deck you're on, but that's why you gotta practise. But I get what you're saying. The current system turns nobrainer tasks into things you actually have to think about, like syncing channel 1 and 3, since you can't display them at the same time. The only thing I dislike is how you don't get any kind of phase meter like you would between the CDJ and XDJ.
@@TranceCore3 yeah - it's not impossible to remember, but it's definitely more awkward. It's maybe not so bad if you sync everything, but if you use platters to nudge stuff when mixing by ear - it's a pain ... and definitely much more of a pain than just having 4 decks. But then I'm old so maybe it's just that haha
Would you rather have 2x 3000’s +A9 or the AZ Forget about money etc as not an issue for me but I’ve ordered an AZ, but I already have one 3000 plus I use 1210’s a lot I had Xz and I do like controllers but I’m trying to work out pros and cons of each Can I hook a laptop up to 3000’s like I did with my Xz ?
If I had the space for two CDJs and the A9 mixer, I'd still choose the AZ, because I'm still getting more function out of it. If I had the space for 4 CDJs and a mixer, and could afford it, I'd probably take that over the AZ.

True
the thing thats kinda nice about adding a cdj is you can have 2 dj USBs and one recording USB for back to back sets. thats my idea anyways.

Well the extra pro link option is also nice for a DJS1000.
❤💯
Agreed
makes more sense to have two turntables set up with this as you already have 4 channels standalone

Hi great video. Quick question if you only have one cdj3000 will you need a lan router or a switching hub so you can use the internet too? Thanks.
Yes
Thanks for the reply which of the two would you need? Cheers
Either..I just plug into my router

When connected to a Mac with a USB cable, the Mac OS standard driver will automatically install.
I'm not sure what you are talking about. I think I was talking about the firmware.
yeah its annoying that it doesnt have any information to indicate the cdj on the xdj...
Is the crashing issue fixed now. Do I dare purchase one
It's not been fixed, it was a hardware issue, so it's not widespread. If you can find one buy it. Hardware shortages are gonna come soon
@@TheDJLab The Hardware shortages does not surprise me it's Alphatheta.. Stores will get one a month for the next 2 years If they are lucky

You can link cdjs to an A9 and control it all from a laptop, yes.
FAT32!!! 😂😂😂
That's a lot of faffing about to update the cdjs. Can they not update over wifi like everything else on the planet lol
Nope
😅
