- You've seen them around the interwebs but is the new Onewheel Pint the best fit for you?
As someone who's ridden the board over 200 miles know. I can definitely say it's SOO WORTH IT! It's also worth the wait to get it. It's perfect for city commuters who want an alternative to a car.
You can get the board here:

If you're looking for aftermarket parts you can find them here:

Great video Danny! Pumped that the board found such a good home
Thanks guys!!! Keep making dope stuff.
Fix y’alls greedy ass price points
Fix yo Broke ass wallet foo!
I have a one wheel pint, it's a fun toy, but I cannot imagine commuting on this thing, after a long day of work I want to sit down not stand up for 5 to 6 miles straight, feeling every bump in the road given it has no suspension, it's kind of a painful ride...😬
I’ve pretty much watched every Pint video on here and I gotta say yours is one of the best. You did an awesome job and you’ve increased my stoke level immensely. My Pint is in transit now!! Thanks!!! 👊
Hey thanks it means a lot. Welcome to the OW family.
I ordered my Onewheel pint and your video got even more excited brother 😀
Thanks bro! When you get yours you’re life will get more awesome!
your editing is SOOOO good idk how you dont have more subs love the stuff keep it up
I appreciate it!
Nice review man! 250+ miles on my Pint and it's literally some of the most fun i've ever had.
Thanks! That's awesome, Float on friend.
I reached yesterday the 500 km ...
I simply love my pintX it was a boat anchor for about 4 days I fell, bought more pads on the 5 day it happened!!! This was stressful buying a $1600.00 one wheel but it’s the most fun I have ever had in my 57 years! I’m so hooked!!
I got my Pint a little over a month ago to help with my commute and I love it.
Incidentally, I'm just seeing this video today and you got the exact same color scheme with your bumpers and fender (and the sand rails) as I did. So, obviously, you have good taste.
Schad, you're a recent buyer. What was the total time from order online to delivery of your Pint? Thanks!
@@Pewpew4 I don't recall exactly, but it was super fast. Like, a day or two after I placed the order. But I'm also in the Bay Area so I'm practically in FM's backyard, so that likely helped save on shipping time.
Hey man, just discovered your channel and I like the content. Keep up the simple, high quality videos! They have a unique style to them
Bro you last name is literally one letter off from being my name. That's kinda cool itself. Have a great day Danny!
-Danny.
NOICE! Thanks for stopping by.
@@rubiotv Yes sir! Always glad to!
To all of you that are thinking of getting a ow pint do it I've had mine for about a week and its super fun. If your worried about your hight your weight I'm 6'5 and around 300lbs and the pint handles like a champ so no worries there. For safety stuff I strongly recommend a helmet and gloves. So for those of you that this helps see you out there.
Awesome bro thanks for your advice.
I'm 6'4 and was concerned if overall stance width is uncomfortable for the pint, I have size 13 shoes as well. I went ahead and ordered one though... now for the wait.
I’m 5’5” and I feel like it’s a natural width. You might feel a little narrow and might have your a little wider stance than I would. As you learn test different stances. I can’t right now but I’ll link to a great video I found a while back about onewheel stances. As for your shoes size. A part of your foot will probably hang off but I don’t think it should be to much of a issue.
@@rubiotv I'm not too worried as much about foot overhang as overall stance width. I got to demo one recently for about 5 minutes and it felt good but I'm not sure how I'll fare over my 4 mile work commute, I might just have to force myself to get comfy in a narrow stance.
@@stephenhruby8763 SO I have a 3.2 ish mile commute and one BIG thing is having good shoes. you'll still have to get use to the ride for the first 100 miles or so. Take breaks and shake out your legs as you get more comfortable. it might be more beneficial to opt out of the any accessories from onewheel and just get one of the upgraded back footpads from the float life or craft and ride to help you out from the get go. I don't have one but I've heard it's super HELPFUL.
Well done! Concise and to the point!
Thanks!
Can totally recommend the Kush Nug, total game changer. So much more comfortable, and so much more control.
wish you talked more about your commute after buying the pint ( time saved, distance, etc.)
Man you deserve way more subs
thanks man!
Dude I saw the thumbnail, just got my accessories and we have the same Burgandy/Sand combo! Great video, love my Pint!
PUNK NASTY!
If you ever find yourself in Utah we’ll have to do a group ride.
Thank you for the excellent video! I completely agree with you on all of your points! I have had my pint for a week now and think it was well worth the price. Extra protection for your board in the form of Skid plates and rail guards are worth every penny as well. some places to look are Craft & Ride and the Float Life. I bought my skid plate from Carbon Smith and it is awesome! I bought my rail guards from Eight2Ten. The latter are smaller companies and you may have to wait a little longer to get your products but they protect your $950+ investment from most of the "normal" wear and tear.
Ooo awesome I’ll check them out and add links when I find them.
Sup Denny! Fancy seeing you here:)
Shout out to happy valley, former Utah resident, I’m in Cali now. One of these days I’m gonna get me one of these bad boys!
Video quality is amazing!
I bought a used XR, I'm getting a Pint with the backpack for extra range. I love my XR!
My wife said I can't get a XR until she learn to ride.
Backpack for extra range? Where could I get a good one?
Trixx Don’t even do that. Check out Chibatterysystems, they have a battery that goes in the pint, replaces the stock battery, and you get XR range. They offer the same for XR, to make it an XXR. Check em out.
Mine ships in 6 days. Roy to Orem is a killer of a commute! I once commuted from Logan to Sandy 😳. Looking forward to making OW friends in Salt Lake!
There are a few be sure to join the Utah onewheel Facebook group. Stay stoked.
I'm picking up my one wheel XR tomorrow! Can't wait.
A cheap workaround for the handle is tennis racket grip. You know those rubbery soft stripes you roll around the handle? I applied 2 of those on top of each other and so far it worked a treat. It doesn't come off because they are made to withstand the stress you apply to a tennis racket and being rubbery they don't really get dirty and they are easily cleaned.
Oh that's a solid idea. thanks for that tip!
*GREAT VID ! I've done 121 miles on my 12 day old Pint! She Rocks !*
Noice!!!
Great video and breakdown man. Thank you.
Thanks!
I'm.defently gonna buy one soon it's a huge yes for me theres no wrong question about I think its worth getting it
For short trips and parks yes its a blast. I was using it to travel 8 miles and it hurts my feet. It can be done but not worth it for that. The XR might be way better for longer trips bigger flatter wheel and all.
But hey i love the small form factor. So i can put it in my trunk and have a blast in parks.
Oh yea if you work near by under 8 miles then this thing pays off its self.
Yeah you have to build up to the 8 miles. If you get foot fatigue you need to take some breaks and shake out your feet. Getting a concave footpad also really helps. I also really loved the size of the pint.
@@rubiotv yea I hear about a curved foot plate would help. I ok only have a fang a d float plates. The kush hi are sold out so I dunno yet.
@@NatsumeKonno There are a lot of options out there I"d recommend asking aroudn in your local onewheel space to see if anyone has a pad you could try to see if you do like that version.
@@rubiotv yea we do have big community here. I really want an XR or a EUC. Pint is fine for me for now but i want a bigger range type stuff.
I am glad to hear someone who got one for a commute. I thought I would be commuting but riding on the roads in my area is pretty sketchy. Have you had problems riding on roads with cars?
Great questions. I haven't had too much issue. Most of the places I ride have bike lanes so that helps. Honestly as long as you don't carve a lot and you stay to the side and use bike signals you're good.
Love my New Pint. Just got it and him getting acclimated to it but it’s dope!
One of my fav reviews
Thx bro
I love my pint Like I’m not made of money so the thought of spending that much on a “” toy was insane but now that I own it it is the funniest toy I ever had for sure
I’m 15 and about to buy one
Exciting! Be sure to get a helmet.
Great review!
Thanks!
Ubers are expensive and hard to come by in my Cleveland suburb. Just ordered a Pint (edit: got an XR) Didn't tell my wife. It will be a fun surprise.
I'm going to be using it on a 3.2 mile one way commute. I think I can get away with the standard charger and be safe to get home. 😀
Good idea with the skate shoes, I'll see how my nikes I wear at work do lol
Dude, you didn't tell the woman??? I'll be at your funeral man...
@@kite2036 lol worst of all, I just cancelled my order and upgraded to an XR hahaha... She can't kill me if she can't catch me!!
haha I hope it worked out. You should totally be fine with that commute you probably won't even need to charge at the ofice.
great content! thank you!
Gary McMillian thanks!
How’s that GoPro mount on your rail holding up? I was thinking about putting one in the same spot to mount a flashlight
It’s holding up pretty good. It’s getting scratched up but still mountable.
what a great review, i live in outside USA, usually commute everyday using my boosted boards, saw your review and made me think if it worth the money to buy one.
may i know, the shipping weight of the ow pint and battery capacity? I need to calculate the shipping charge to my country
Awesome! You could totally use the onewheel for off-roading and the boosted for the city. I couldn’t find anything on the shipping weight. Weight for the pint is 23 lbs. battery are 148Wh.
Cool man, I'm in Sandy and just ordered an XR on ebay
NICE! be sure to join the Utah onewheel user group on facebook.
Good quality my dude
Thanks!
Hey Dude, thanks for the video. I want to buy the ow pint, but the one thing stopping me is the fear of the weight limit on the pint. It might be too small for me and I can't afford the xr. If you don't mind sharing, what is your height and weight?
totally understandable. I'm like 5'6" and I weigh 240 pounds so definitely on the heavier end. I do think because of the weight and living in a pretty hilly city I get about a range of 6 miles. So on the lower end but as long as you have a charger and you plan your route accordingly you should totally be fine.
@@rubiotv Thanks for the reply. This has really encourage me to buy it now!
Glad I could help answer your question. If you be sure to share your thoughts on it.
Good info. Do you think the Pint is a good choice for my first OW? Some have said it’s more difficult to learn on than the XR, yet the $$$ difference is significant. Thank you for your reply in advance.
Absolutely! It's small and the simple stop is great. I really appreciated it when I was learning. I turn it off and on depending on the type of riding I'm doing.
Danny Rubio Too squirly when picking up speed in the straight-ways?
@@flhandster4395 I haven't found that it's squarely. I might get some wobbles if my feet position is a little off. I personally like to have a stance close to the tire.
Danny Rubio Is it a good first OW?
DON HAND I definitely think so. Especially with the simple stop. Just take your time an wear a helmet.
I bought a Pint for the same reasons. It's in the mail. I don't think I will survive the wait.
You will survive my friend!
Great video man!
Initially wanted a Pint bc of price point and being able to take it with me on deployments overseas but homie at the dealer persuaded me to get an XR. Mentality was that if I was going to get a Onewheel, might as well go big or go home!
Still going to buy a Pint before I deploy though 🤪.
Thanks! I appreciate your service. If I had the money I probably would have done the XR but like I said I think both have their place and are worth owning both.
Hey Danny I’m thinking about getting a pint to just take on little rides around the park and was wondering how safe it is as far as if you are just cruising?
The pint is perfect for this. I mean like anything that has motors you should respect it. Wear a helmet but it’s great for cruising around your neighborhood a local paved trail etc.
I'm sorry, did I hear that correctly: Three months?? I know this post is from 2019, but could you or anyone give me an idea as to what the current wait time from ordering online to delivery of a Pint? Great video Danny!
it's FASTER now. Standard business days. You could even find some in local skate or outdoor stores like SHEELS.
It goes from honest review to sales pitch when the video poster claims that to make the $950 board "worth it" you need to buy a handle ($70) even though it already has a handle, and buy a faster charger ($110) even though it already has a charger.
Good point. I should said the board is worth it but to make the board more enjoyable get the mag handle and the having the ultra charger is a nice add on especially for those planning on longer rides. Thanks for the feedback.
I agree that the fender is a must have ... should get it for the +$45 deal at time of purchase
Great review dude, just ordered mine.
Adios
How about the range? Was it enough for your ride to work? How much time did you get back by using it? numbers!!!! hehehehe
We moved closer to work. I now live 3.1 miles from my work. I get there with just over 50% battery left. I’ve got a charger at work and I usually charge but sometimes I forget and I still get home with like 20% left. Give or take 5 percent. I live in a valley and even though you don’t feel it in a car much of the city is up hill and because I’m a bigger dude I get 6 to 7 miles depending on the terrain.
@@rubiotv That' great. Over time the Pint will pay for itself in gas expenses and public transport commuting. And fun, it pays for itself with fun too.
Already has.
and dont forget!!! at the end... you also make more friends, and build up cnfidence...
still saving up :)
You'll get there!
Under a 1000$? That's the starting price when u add stuff on to it its gonna cost a bit more !
A single fact: I bought my OneWheel Pint, because of Matti Haapoja! :)
I'm a bit confused....how does a 3 mile commute take 1hr 50min??
It doesn’t it only took me 20 minutes. I don’t remember what I said. I might have miss spoke.
@@rubiotv hm now I cant find where in the video I heard 3 miles, but you did say that you were living in Roy and worked in Orem which you showed taking 1hr 50min on public transport. I'm just wondering how a pint can replace that journey?
Scooby Poo haha I moved. Closer to work.
Is it worth to buy a $140 Footpad from FutureMotion???
Or just Stick with the Stock foot pads that came with them???
I dunno I don’t have the other footpads yet. I know craft and ride have concave pads for the pint now and they’re like $99. So check them out.
If you haven’t already. Grab a Kush Nug from Floatlife. Game changer. Better comfort AND control. Highly recommend.
Do you think it’s safe?
Respect the board and you'll be just fine. :D Also don't be crazy and wear a helmet.
@@rubiotv LOL I got it awhile ago but thanks g
ese weii 😬🔥🔥🔥
I subbed
Thanks man!
Commuting? I hear there's a new fangled thing called a "bicycle". Doesn't even require charging apparently!
WHAT?!?! Dats DOPE!! I'll have to check it out.
The benefit to not using a bicycle is that you won’t get drenched in sweat on your way into work, boomer.
Eyy we live in the same state
NOICE! Be sure to join the Utah onewheel Facebook group then.
I would have bought a scooter if commuting
Even if you were selling out behind the scenes for Future Motion and telling your viewer to buy the PINT I talk with real world riders on Electric Ridables that tell me not to even go there for the OW PINT why? For so many reasons. Price, Range and Safety. So heres the real answer.......NO.
PS.....I dont hate the OW there are way cheaper, safer, and better Range Ridables out there. Keep telling yourself the PINT is cheaper than a car, blind shopping up to you.
thanks.....
Video totally isn’t sponsored. I appreciate your opinion. For me the pint really great. Your right, getting a car is totally different but I’m terrible at fixing them.
@@rubiotv
I dont fix cars either, I also dont fix people on a sure thing unless it meets a real world criteria
Pint? No. Pint X? VERY YES.
Pint x hadn't been released. I'd for sure recommend a pint x.
Damnit, his parents were so close to make him Danny devito
🤣pretty sure my mom didn’t know who that was when she was naming me.
But the real question is, should you buy a new door?
😂 nah just some WD-40.
lmao thats exactly what my pint looks like but i have a blue float plate too
The pint should be 500 and the xr should be 1000-1200
I mean I don't disagree but sadly they aren't. Maybe one day right!
What do you weigh
I weigh 235.
older brother or sis haha
It took you 4 hours to get to work…. To go 3.5 miles. Huh?
I don't think people should get one because the electric unicycle is a better option for the same price. It's also faster, has way longer range, and safer.
That’s awesome man. I forgot that was an option. Thanks for letting me know I’ll have to look into it.
Safer is questionable, really both are dangerous. I have a onewheel and love it but I'll get an electric unicycle at some point. I agree the range and speed of an electric unicycle is superior.
@@darrengriffith9680 They're both susceptible to the same motor cutout, only problem is the Onewheel has a nose which I've seen leads to more injuries. Also, the Onewheel is a lot easier to push to this cutoff point as it happens at a much lower speed than it does on a unicycle. Hence it's more dangerous. But of course if you're pushing the unicycle beyond its limit, then that danger is still there and maybe even more dangerous due to the speed.
Darren Griffith thanks for your input.
@@Gadgets20 agreed. They tried to put more pushback into the pint versus the xr but it's still easy to ignore.
Dumb...You could have bought an electric bike for under $600...cost was not an issue here...
Fair point. I just liked the feel of board better.
"Before I start into my thoughts, this is an electric transporter or a personal electric vehicle made by future motion.... called the onewheel."
"But for this review, im gonna give you a quick review about future motion... the company."
Sorry for being a grammar nazi but you don't have to pause there in the sentence, it bugs me a little
Hey no worries. I actually noticed the slight pause after I posted it. it bugs me too but having something done is better than being perfect. :)
@@rubiotv Ok, thanks for the reply. Hope you have a good day
WAAAAY too expensive!! Normal people don’t make that much $$! :(
Electric unicycle are better in almost every way one weeks are over rated and over priced.
I have a EUC now.
