Nice to see more people discovering this great pedal. Always-on on my board for years, shaping my main rhytm and solo sounds and volume. After many years of playing loads of gear i can call it my nr 1 pedal.😊
The best overdrive-distortion pedal ever. It adopts to any guitar or amp. Best sounds. For even more versatility you can use a Tubescreamer or Boost or an Overdrive of your choice before it to shape your individual tone. Made me sell almost all of my pedals. Now I have a tiny pedalboard and I use it with my vintage amplifiers. No modern switching channel amp needed. It covers every tone I need. From sparkling almost clean breakup to EVH. It is so cleverly laid out with the mini switches and controls I still discover new great possibilities.
Big thumbs up on the updated camera setup and colors my man. Your videos always looked very good but definitely a noticeable change! Awesome demo as well. I've definitely made some significant improvements to my pedal collection because of your videos and this one might just have to be added at some point!
I've got one of these coming. Really appreciate the detail you put into the description throughout the video, Mark. A bit of an unknown pedal, as you know.
Best demo ever: just getting this, cause I tend to get too darkish Jazz tones, and this seems to have tons of options, and you also showed how to dial that tone/hi end down with multiple interactive controls! the price 250 actually isnt too much for such versatility and 2 channels, of which I hear ones a bit fatter than the other...!!!
Its a great pedal. One thing to note is the design is on the net. I downloaded the circuit board schematic and a friend of me who is knowledgeable in electronics built me a copy using off the shelf electronic components and wiring (most of them from home depot). We were so astounded by the results, that she decided to build a couple more to herself. I would love to know more about electronics. This has a great growly sounds for classic and balanced sound for the Epiphone Dot (alnico PUs), works charms with my cheap Fender transistor amp. Wonderful combo. My friend has a Squier el cheapo guitar with a single coil, a Yamaha Melodica, and these cheap yellow Gibson LesPaul LT, and those sounds CRAAAAZY on the 18watt thingy. It turns them to be axes from another planet! I would recommend clone this pedal if you know about that, but you can get the original of course. Other thing: the clone has to have the pots in the same configuration. If that is not the case, the sound is very hard to predict. It seems one pot influences the next in the chain, but also some of them in the tone control also provide energy feed to a couple of them. She experimented around the voltages, as far as she knows, its VERY well thought for covering a wide range of guitar pickups and amps. Its sounds can be controlled very nicely if you follow the plans and order of the pot, but it becomes untraceable/hard to define if you mess the circuit.
Ahhhh......two channel, more versatile, more options. I know Gregor Hilden used the orig Diablo years ago, and thats how I came to enjoy the Okko. I know Okko does the GH-and this seems like a variation of the GH, yes??
Hi this is Kit from OKKO FX. The Diablo GH is a variation of the Diablo. This is the original Diablo. The GH is a signature Diablo made for Gregor Hilden, a prominent Blues guitarist in Germany. The GH doesn't have dual channel but a Drive Channel and a Boost. The voicing for the GH also leans more to Mid frequencies. Hope this answers your question 👍
Greg Hilden has really made this pedal known for a long time now.

Fantastic! Would love to see a video of your chord theory and song writing.

Gregor Hilden from Gregsguitars secret weapon for years.
Exactly what I was going to say
I thought his secret weapon was the Teddy Bear… 😬
Has his own custom version too
That intro song is sweet......Im trying to decide if I should go with the Diablo or Duo.......Going to learn from this video.

Apparently that’s only true here in the states. When this video first dropped I was clued in quickly as to how out of the loop we’ve been on OKKO
Has the Diablo Dual stuck with you, Mark?

It's a very great sounding pedal! I got one of the older version.
as usual, very tasty playing. Pedal sounds great too.
