I had chs and I did not know I had it. I was smoking weed for 30 years. My chs came about 3 years ago. The first thing that happened was I was smoking a spliff, and halfway through smoking the spliff, I had very bad stomach pains and stomach cramps and I vomited and didn't understand why, so I continued to smoke. 3 months before this happened. I split from my wife and children, so I was already in a bad state of depression, not sleeping, and not eating too much. I continue to smoke after this first bout of vomiting. After this first bout of vomiting, i could not eat food, and my insomnia kicked in very badly. Maybe I'm just eating two spoons of my dinner per day, and maybe 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night. But I continue to smoke. I worked through this whole period doing manual labour, and somehow my body was still functioning, and I felt strong even with lack of sleep and hardly eating food. I was functioning on Coca-Cola, Lucozade, and spliffs. Basically I was ill for 6 months and continue to smoke without knowing the reason for my sickness. 6 months later, I hit a brick wall, and my body started to shut down. I went from 17 and a half stone down to 12 stone in 6 months. I started getting stomach cramps, stomach pain, vomiting from time to time gastro problems, hypnic jokes when trying to sleep. Tinnitus in the ears. Body shaking once I did fall to sleep when I woke up with tremors. Muscle spasms. Muscle stiffness. Muscle pain. Bone pain. Muscle spasms in my back . Found it hard to walk. Numbness down my legs. Vomiting and nausea.Waking up with numbness in my arms and hands. Muscle spasms in my throat every time I lie down to try to sleep. Constipation. Haemorrhoids, I could not urinate properly. The Muscle spasms in my throat when I try to lie down, causing my throat to close, and i could not breathe when I lie down. All this time, i was going to the doctor's and getting nothing back from the doctors. But muscle relaxant tablets which I could not take. And sent me for every check-up you could imagine and found nothing. They did find I had developed a hiatus hernia,. I was told by the dr to sleep sitting up due to the muscle spasms in my throat when I try to lie down to sleep. So I had to sleep sitting up. Has more time went past, the muscle spasms in my throat got so bad that I could not smoke because my throat started to close when standing or sitting. This obviously stopped me from smoking. My anxiety and depression were so bad from missing my kids and all the symptoms from the chs and I was still not diagnosed. I felt like I was dying. My nervous system was in a very bad way. I done researching everywhere and came across CHS. I then took this to the doctor, and they diagnosed me with CHS. I continue to work through this whole period. Looking back, I do not know how I got through. But I think the continuous moving of the body was helping me somehow. I started to eat a little better and slowly slowly I started to put my weight back on. After 1 year when I was able to lie down without my throat going into spasms I started to sleep a little better slowly slowly. It's been 2 and a 1/2 years since stopping smoking. After 1 year, I was still in a very bad way, with many symptoms still remaining. Through this whole period, having hot baths with Epsom salts was helping me a great deal. Putting warm olive oil all over my muscles was also helping. Drinking bone broth also helped a lot. After 2 years, my haemorrhoids started to calm down. I was able to go to the toilet better. Both urinating and pooing. It's been 2 and 1/2 years, and I'm still have tinnitus in the ears and spasms in my back and back pain, but it's nothing like the spasms and back pain I had before. I'm still suffering a little bit with insomnia. And when I wake from sleep, my arms and hands still go numb and numbness down the outside of my right leg. The biggest help I have found in my healing period was through cranial therapy. When I start to feel quite good, sometime I would try to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. Drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes seems to bring back some symptoms. I tried to drink sometimes to test my body. But then I realised I could not drink. Same with smoking cigarettes. Some symptoms start to come back. I have come to the realisation that I can not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. And obviously cannot smoke cannabis for the rest of my life. Even standing next to someone who is smoking a spliff affects me. I was always a very fit and strong individual and felt invincible. But this whole experience has humbled me. Please look after yourself and your health mentally and physically. The one good thing I can see about CHS is that if you stop smoking weed and live a healthy life it can go away. As I said I still have some symptoms. But I feel like if I look after myself hopefully I pray to God that all my symptoms will eventually go away. it is possible that there is damage done that cannot be repaired from but I am very thankful and go forward with a positive mindframe. It is very good to see that there is information out there for people to find. It did not occur to me to go on UA-cam and type in chs back then. But even the videos on UA-cam here do not talk about half my symptoms. I obviously took chs to the Brim. And maybe I'm very lucky. But it is very good to see there is information out there and people are learning more and more everyday about CHS. If you feel you have CHS the beginner of CHS or you feel you have had it for a while please stop smoking now. Go and seek help. As I said the best thing that I found helped me was cranial therapy and God. God bless you all out there, peace 🙏
One month sober from weed. CHS absolutely wrecked my life and it’s been a long ride but I’ve finally quit for good. Thank you sincerely for all the help doc.
@@johnathanmcrae4702 so I was smoking pretty heavy, like a few times per day for a months, and from the day I quit, it took me personally about 4-5 days before I felt somewhat normal again. Try drinking as much water as you can, get outside in direct sunlight if able, go for a walk, consistent movement helped me a lot. Just know once you stop your body will immediately begin to detoxify, so trust it will get better. Hope this helps. Stay strong
@@johnathanmcrae4702 I think my first reply got deleted, but it took me about 5-6 days before I was somewhat back to normal. Try drinking lots of water, getting some direct sunlight, and go for walks or try and keep moving if you feel up to it. Hope this helps.
@@johnathanmcrae4702I’ve been through it and this is my third time. Didn’t realized what was causing it so I kept doing it. I say it’ll be anywhere from a month or two depending how far your into it.
Im 7 weeks in & no issues, even when my friends ask am i blazing & I say no, they're SHOCKED!😁 It's 7 weeks tomorrow & I'm starting to feel like the me that I've been missing for 20 plus years! So this man is a blessing & good luck to everyone just starting out!
I had CHS for years. Its such a nightmare. Stomach aches, pains, nausea, etc. Im DONE. Ill never look at the stuff again its absolutely miserable. I lost a lot of weight. Tried everything, was tested a lot and everything was normal. Tried enzymes, elimination diets etc. Once I quit about a month later I was able to eat foods I thought were triggers for puking. Pizza, friend foods, bad foods, onions etc. Now I can literally eat whatever I want. Gained my weight back, and my life has improved so much. Thanks doc for telling people about this. Heating pads on the stomach, some times tums, and stay hydrated! CHS is a nightmare.
@@LeadMe2TheBliss once I quit weed, I was able to eat after a week but small amounts. But it lingered and I’d feel nauseous for a month or two. Light exercise helps with recovery when you’re well enough
@@LeadMe2TheBlissHow are you doing now? It's only been 2 weeks for me. It's wild how much stress the body puts on the brain. I assume most of us who continued to smoke just didn't want the pain of quiting. It's a battle.
@@hallerayvon7747 my CHS symptoms stop after a week of stopping (still not able to eat at that point) and then withdrawal symptoms last at least another week with sleep deprivation, sweating, panic attacks and such… unfortunately cravings never go away for me they just get quieter after about a month
@@iesince93 I had symptoms for about 5 months with 2 hospital visits and one time was so bad my esophagus was nearly destroyed and I couldn’t eat or breathe properly for days. @@PixelatedMagikarpat Walmart they have these Ginger Root capsules that will help get rid of that nauseous feeling and definitely help with the stomach pains, also will help you keep your food down.
You are saving my life. You have no idea the gratitude I have for you. Thank you for giving us this information. I was so confused for years why I was so sick and I actually was diagnosed with colitis which I believe was activated by my daily and hourly cannabis use and it has gone away after I quit smoking weed!
Thanks man, I was in denial that this syndrome could even exist… 20 years plus daily use all of a sudden I thought I got food poisoning… One week nonstop vomiting almost died from dehydration. Here’s what I am consuming to recover…Home made chicken stock and vegetable soup! Watermelon! I also want to recommend grass fed raw milk! The pasteurization process turns milk into sugar water and gets rid of all of the good probiotics and lactase… It could be an entire video! Wishing everyone the best 🤙
Forgot to mention I lost 30 pounds in two weeks! I hardly had any body fat to start with, I was 190 pounds with about 7% body fat before, two weeks later 160 pounds looking like a skeleton. Praying that anyone going through this has at least one person who could be of support for making soup and also for the mental and emotional support.
I was in the hospital 3 days last week and was officially diagnosed with CHS. I would love more videos on CHS as I struggle in the recovery phase and have barely been able to eat. Thank you DR! Officially subscribed.
I thought because I hadn't threw up in a year and a half it wasn't CHS. I had severe body pain and gut pain and thought smoking was helping me. The panic attacks are horrendous. I never want to go back again. You were the first person I ever heard talk about body pain and muscle cramps. That's when the lightbulb went off. I have missed out on so much and I just want my life back.
@PixelatedMagikarp sorry ta hear that. sometimes after you've been clear of thc for several months to a year one can have a puff or two on mediocre green without the CHS n nausea n vomiting happening.
So my boyfriend is currently going through this, based on the food recs in this video I created a smoothie and it’s REALLY helped. Wanted to share for others who can’t keep anything down. - half or less of a frozen banana - 4-5 cubes of ice - 1/2 cup Fairlife 26g Vanilla protein drink - 1 tablespoon peanut butter - 1/2 cup whole fat plain yogurt (not Greek yogurt get the real stuff) Blend and serve! Add some more Fairlife if you want it thinner He said it’s really calmed down his stomach and I feel a lot better that he’s getting some protein and fat. Good luck out there!
Just wanted to say thank you I have been dealing with this for about 15 years now and I was unable to figure out what it was until recently. I did quit because I thought that's what I had but then I had chose to go back to it thinking I was probably wrong but it turns out I was right. I have thrown up for 5 weeks straight before I'm trying to make sure I eat the right food so I can get back to work as soon as possible. Is a horrible experience to go through thank God this will be my last time I love smoking but I love not being sick better good luck everybody and thank you
Ivan smoking for 6 plus years daily. I've only taken a few breaks for like a week or so and the past 2 days. I have literally been living in the bathroom. Have been sleeping next to the toilet and have barely been eating anything simply because I can't keep anything down besides small bits of water. And saltinecrackers On top of this i'm pretty sure I have covid which is really irritating me.... I have decided that I will be stopping weed and goes to the process of Quitting at home because I cannot take this any longer... Listening to your video in the bathroom this morning. Really helped honestly because it made me feel like i'm not alone
I’ve experienced CHS emesis phase 4 seperate times in 2 years. I don’t know your exact condition, but I’ve been so dehydrated that I was in shock and virtually couldn’t move because everything was numb. Point being, stopping weed was tough, but I wouldn’t trade the easy mornings and calm nights for a million grams of weed. You have my support and I hope you reach your goals for this. God Bless
i’m sorry dude, i’m going through chs as we speak.. i can only imagine what you’re going through. i hope you find the stength to be clean, it’s hard but the reward in the long run will be worth it! that’s how im trying to look at it.
If anyone is suffering rn, go to cvs buy a tube of Capsaicin. Rub some of the ointment on your stomach with gloves on. You’ll feel a burning sensation that should relive some pain. If it’s really bad take a warm shower with the cream on. It will burn your stomach bad but it’s better than feeling nauseous.
1 week out from my diagnosis and 1 week without smoking. I have lost 17.5 pounds so far. Thanks for this video and the advice! I have a solid plan on how to tackle CHS now. Had a rough night last night because the first solid food I tried to eat in a week was a stupid grilled cheese with mayo on it and way too much butter! Feel better today and hope I can crawl outta this hole!
I recently got chs and its a literal nightmare and i wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. You'll have nausea ,vomiting, headaches, stomach pain, diarrhea, anxiety, panic attacks, fever like symptoms etc. It was so bad for me that every time my stomach would growl id would try to eat but then i would no longer be hungry after one bite. Its literally hell and really scary. Pot once helped me with my appetite, sleep, anxiety, depression. And now my body is all over the place. Im thankful i caught on to it quickly then most people but it still sucks. It comes in waves and ive already lost 11 pounds in a few days 😅 if anyone is going through this i am truly sorry. So far what seems to help me at least is drink aloooot of fluids especially water. Liquid iv is pretty good too since theres so many vitamins but they are pricy. Eat cold and dry foods like saltine crackers, toast, cereal, applesauce and rice. And for the nausea, get ahold of any over the counter anti nausea medicine or get some from the doctor. Suck on ice and take frequent hot baths and showers. So far these things are helping me recover
@@PixelatedMagikarp omg that's horrible! I just recovered like 2 months ago. But the best thing for stomach pain and nausea is any heat. A heating pad really helps and a hot shower. I would let the hot water run on my stomach for a while. And if you don't have a heating pad try rubbing capsaicin cream on your belly. U can find it anywhere and it's only like 5 dollars. It will decrease pain and nausea. Don't use too much, a little goes a long way! It took me a year to recover. It was a nightmare. But the first few weeks the pain and nausea calmed down. Don't eat any hot foods! Stay away from alcohol, caffeine, greasy and spicy foods. It will make the nausea and vomiting worse. Drink plenty of water and Gatorade. And for the first few weeks I ate toast, applesauce and saltine crackers. It helped me recover fast. My fiance smokes but he has to smoke outside cuz even just breathing it in and smelling it can make you nauseous and throw up.
@@PixelatedMagikarp of course!! I won't lie I struggled sleeping for a couple weeks, but you can try taking some melatonin. And if you can get your hands on a heating pad it will help! The heat would make me sleepy and it will relax your stomach muscles so you won't be nauseous or in pain. I hope you have a speedy recovery! 🙏
I’ve been smoking for years and about a 8 or 9 months ago I got Chs, I suspected it at first but brushed it off cuz weed❤️ am I right?😭 Unfortunately Chs isn’t something that goes away with time like I thought, I’d get sick for weeks at a time and take a long tolerance break and run back like it was nothing, at this point I’ve gotten it almost got hospitalized but dealt with the pain, then it comes back cuz yk I’m stupid n smoked again, this time I go to the hospital shaking crying throwing up passing out, I say imma quit yet I don’t, now I hit it every once in awhile n I thought it’s fine it’s not like I do it everyday, and somehow even that caught up to me bc here I am bathroom floor trying to figure out how I can fix it avoiding another hospital trip n more of my parent’s disappointment :( it’s not worth it I’m quitting fr this time I don’t need a drug to keep life good I can do this and I’m really sad that I’m like basiclly dying rn bc God does Chs hurt like a bitch bro like fuckkkk
I just started dealing with this and I’ve been scared to death to eat anything other than apple sauce! I really hope this pain don’t last as long as most people have been dealing with it. It’s been a week for me 😢
How are you doing now ? I stopped cold turkey on Saturday. I’ve been going through CHS and it’s horrible. Weed is an enemy now and ever. It’s horrible.
What an ironic turn of events, one of my favorite things ends up trying to kill me and now... well, I'm not happy, plain to admit and I've heard since I've developed the disease, that returning in any fashion would cause CHS to return, even in extreme levels of moderation, repeating once a month could cause it. I mean this just straight sucks. I feel like someone shot my dog.
Dude I feel you. My fiance loves smoking with me and I recently stopped cold turkey. I couldn't stop vomiting and having waves of nausea. It's a nightmare. I've only smoked for about 2 to 3 years and something that once helped me with my appetite, sleep, depression, anxiety. Is no longer helping me. I've gone into the worst panic attacks and mental breakdowns thinking I'm going crazy since I'm scared to eat anything. It definitely freaking sucks booty. 😅 especially when I genuinely enjoyed smoking for so long
Was in and out of the hospital for a week 5 days sober now CHS sure is one hell of a ride ate a Philly cheese steak today, zofran , haldol if u need some and some mf anti anxiety meds will get u right
I’m so confused because I thought that I was having these issues because the first thing that I would do when I would wake up is take a hit for my vape pen which is wax and that’s how I would start off my day I wouldn’t eat. I wouldn’t drink anything in the first thing that would hit my system was the THC it wasn’t until a few months later that I was having the stomach pains in the morning I wanted to throw up so I stopped smoking in the mornings now I feel like I need to eat and drink something before I can even get to smoke I hope everybody gets better because it sucks that we have to go through this. I thought that weed was all good with no strings attached, but I guess that’s what happens when I do it for so long
Thank you so much for soreading awareness and hope! I thought this issue was unique to me. Its good to know that im not alone and that there is help for all of us thank you
A few years back I was in ICU for 2 weeks due to heart failure due to vomiting and not being able to hold things down chs was not known at this time. Now 2024 I started back smoking and now I have CHS same symptoms I’m so scared I have children now and I’m try to self medicate I feel like my world is ending I feel like a bad mother and daughter because how did I let this happen again now I have knowledge but it doesn’t stop the pain it took a whole month for the vomiting to stop I can’t afford losing my job or my family due to a joint
pick up some lemon ginger tea for the day after you stop felling sick, I find it helps the gut and sooths the throat, helps me feel better fast. and if your having issues keeping liquids in, choke down 2 dinner rolls for breakfast it will suck then eat grapes all day with 2 oz of water every hour then try the tea for me I've done this and been fine by dinner. let me know if it works for you
can someone help me from experience. i don’t want to fully quit i enjoyed the times in the past when i would do it occasionally and i would find myself very happy. it spiraled and i noticed i was going through like full gram stiiizy pods in two days just going all day. now clearly i’m off of weed but what i wanted to ask was if i was to go back to maybe a joint once or twice a week would that bring back the CHS? if so i’d most likely quit forever don’t wanna go through this again 😭😭
Keywords "can return" dude youll be fine dont let people fear monger you just take it one day at a time. Everyones different. Not everyone gets it permanently

My dad was just diagnosed after 40 years of heavy smoking. Really hoping to gain some insight about this by Watchung your videos. Comment made before watching lol
I went for 15 years undiagnosed with chs. I told every medical professional that I used marijuana. I now struggle with weed addiction. No Dr wants to give Ativan which is the only med that helps. I want to quit weed so bad. I can't take the chs anymore
besides diet makesure you introduce heat to your body like hot showers, electric blankets or even heating pad and focus on the back of the neck then head and back along the spine. use lowest heat that helps so you may tolerate it longer or so your hot water can last longer also. lol use them separately not at same time obviously. I've had it relieve even severe CHS symptoms pretty quickly. if you haven't tried heat try it and I hope you are one of the fortunate that it really helps.
Heat is immaculate for dealing with CHS, showers, space heaters, lots of clothes, direct sunshine. Any bit helps! Thanks for sharing tips on the neck and back.
@holtonmcgaha7877 oh yeah I forgot to mention direct sunshine! I'm glad you brought it up because it can really help especially if the outside temp is atleast 65 degrees or more.
i’m having a hard time not developing food anxiety while struggling with chs and i can’t afford to go buy all new groceries so im wondering if id be able to eat things like kraft mac and cheese with no seasoning. i really need some help because im struggling

I'm terrified to stop because I absolutely hate those vomiting episodes. I'll be vomiting for 2 weeks straight all day every day, I have to chug water and throw it up because if I don't acid will build up with whatever sips of water I'm taking and eventually I'll vomit it out and that stuff hurts so bad and burns my lips so then I end up having to chug water and some sort of juice just to not deal with the acid, I'll end up filling a 5 gallon bucket up with vomit like twice and have to dump it because of everything I'm drinking and vomiting out, it's so goddamn costly but it's what gets me through without fiery vomit or laying in bed wincing in stomach pains and cramps as well as I'm slightly hydrated the whole time cause of the tiny amount of water I'll retain, it gets so bad that the hot water doesn't even work anymore. I need to stop smoking and knowing I need to stop for the rest of my life destroys me to my core because it's the only thing that makes life really worth living everything sucks and it's the only thing that makes the dark somewhat light. I know it's not worth it, it's costed me a lot already but it's all I have left and idk what to do. If I stop it's just me and my thoughts, I hate this predicament I'm in.
Im in the same boat Im so dam tired of smoking but without it I can’t live a normal life I get the worse symptoms when I stop and I’m afraid to lose 60lbs again people said I looked like i was dieing I hate throwing up and nothing works

and honestly im not sure weed didnt really effect me like it didnt help or make it worse really, I got to the point where I just had constant nausea for about a week straight till i realized it was probably weeds fault@@bb.L_Oni
I am lucky. Day four of no weed and i can eat again after months of nausea. I suggest ice cream, Ensure, and hot water with fruit juice, crackers, toast.
Is it CHS if you are only experiencing the nausea? Im not throwing up but i do gag. Still have loose stools as well. Im not sure if this is THC withdrawal or the nicotine withdrawal
same here, I quit nicotine hoping I could stay on weed but recently after smoking dabs for the first time a bit more often Ive noticed I haven't been able to use the bathroom, I'm less than two weeks after noticing the symptoms and I think it's time for me to quit :( I gag and vomited occasionally but I'm constipated as hell 😭
Ok so this is my 3rd go with chs the furst time was summer 2021 then winter 2021 and then now i went to the hospital both times this time its a bit hard to get seen for me but the first 2 times lasted a week this time its been 4 days i cant eat or sleep everything feels like a long day its crazy how it happens out of nowhere my stomach really feels crazy as hell
I have a friend who does this and he gets bouts of chs everytime he starts again, even if it takes awhile. It’s not recommended because it strains the body to starve like that even if it’s one every few months
so would a bacon cheeseburger would be good? and what about scrambled eggs? i have a really weird eating thing i’m picky… i haven’t been having trouble not smoking i’m pretty good about it but i haven’t eaten a lot and i lost a couple pounds bc of it i was scared to eat a lot of different foods (im on day 20 because of your videos)
How are you doing now? Definitely make sure you aren’t eating fatty greasy foods my doctor told me to stay away until I can keep crackers and other things down
What types of medications are you taking to help with the episodes? Ive heard that even if you cut out cannabis completely, you still have a percentage of a possibility of an episode any time or have i heard wrong?
I’m my experience I puked thru every medicine they gave me. From ondestronon pills to Promethagen suppositories… But yes you can have flare ups while detoxing still. But after a few months you should be better. If not check w your Doc
The doctors had to give me dissolvable zofran and promethazine suppositories. I would say the suppositories are more effort the vomiting episodes and the zofran is for the morning stomach pain, that's how I used them at least and it seemed to work.
I’ve only experienced it when I run out of flower and smoke the keefe in the bottom of the grinder…. Would I be ok if I just took like a few puffs a week max instead of power smoking everyday like I have for 27 years? Lmao it’s the only substance Im trying to be fully sober but not sure if I’m ready to go fully
The cannabinols receptors in your body have tolerated so much TCH that they have become “faulty” as they say. THC can treat nausea in increments, but too much for too long has the reverse effect and thus those receptors tell your body it feels nauseous instead of normal. Hope this helps.
Hey my girlfriend has just been recently diagnosed with this and we don’t know what to do! She can’t seem to eat or drink anything without throwing up! What can we do?!
@@Its_G1Doctor. Trust me. Just be honest. If weed is illegal for you in your state, like it is mine……. just be honest. there are hippa laws to protect you. i think they can only turn you in for heavy drugs like meth or heroin.
Nope it’s all thc/cbd products I’ve been having CHS for 8 years now, visit the hospital multiple times a year, I have tried going to cbd, delta, etc it’s all the same
Lets say hypothetically you were a year clean from THC. Would one toke completely reset the entire process if you dont plan on smoking again after the event? Im reading mixed reviews that some.individuals will seek their own source of THC, others say its literally will power and should be fine cause you've proved to yourself you can say no to the drug.
After my first chs episode I went 7 months clean before smoking again. I smoked everyday for a year and a half heavily before having another episode. My recommendation is if you’re going to smoke, ONLY SMOKE FLOWER. Stay away from wax and edibles. Try to smoke low potency and smoke moderately. Your cannabinoid sensors take 30 days to fully revert to normal. So every 2-3 months take a one month tolerance break! You should be completely fine. Everyone is different though you have to learn your limits
Yeah I did the same because my friends were told me I was probably overreacting and I just proved them wrong.. the recovery is the worst part about this thing
In my time with CHS its awful but ive never had to quit because of it. I just cant smoke heavy amounts of pot. Ive only had it twice and The second time being right now. It feels like your dying honestly but i just work through the pain and after a couple days im perfectly fine and i can eat normally and smoke whenever i want. I just drink large amounts of water. I usually get a gallon of water and some food that doesnt feel like it will make me vomit like mac n cheese. Or chips. I know its not the same for everyone but CHS to my body is just hey stop smoking so much.
Well that doesn’t even sound like CHS, to start going into other peoples comments telling them they’ll be fine if they carry on smoking is such a pathetic scummy thing to do as well why you even here if your only objective is getting people to carry on the issue they’re trying to resolve
burgers are exactly what sent me to the ER what the hell are you talking about? Fatty foods are the last thing you should eat. Also no chocolate, some pretty bad suggestions here
This is good information but You’ve got the warmth and personality of a tree slug. Smile, be kind. You are talking at your audience not to them. And your audience is suffering

I’m suffering and in tears. I can’t thank you enough.
One month sober from weed. CHS absolutely wrecked my life and it’s been a long ride but I’ve finally quit for good. Thank you sincerely for all the help doc.
After you quit smoking, how long did it take for chs to go away? I’m in the first phase and don’t wanna get too sick so I’m quitting right now
@@johnathanmcrae4702 so I was smoking pretty heavy, like a few times per day for a months, and from the day I quit, it took me personally about 4-5 days before I felt somewhat normal again. Try drinking as much water as you can, get outside in direct sunlight if able, go for a walk, consistent movement helped me a lot. Just know once you stop your body will immediately begin to detoxify, so trust it will get better. Hope this helps. Stay strong

He's most definitely helping me through my situation. I'm 6 days in and I truly appreciate his information
Im 7 weeks in & no issues, even when my friends ask am i blazing & I say no, they're SHOCKED!😁
It's 7 weeks tomorrow & I'm starting to feel like the me that I've been missing for 20 plus years!
I literally dealt with this for years, I feel for anyone who deals with this. Thanks doc frank
It took you years to feel better? Damn. I've been off weed over 3 months and still feeling the effects
@@LeadMe2TheBliss once I quit weed, I was able to eat after a week but small amounts. But it lingered and I’d feel nauseous for a month or two.

I have missed out on so much and I just want my life back.
those anxiety symptoms with CHS can be the worst, that's what made it so unbearable to manage.
@PixelatedMagikarp sorry ta hear that. sometimes after you've been clear of thc for several months to a year one can have a puff or two on mediocre green without the CHS n nausea n vomiting happening.
@PixelatedMagikarp yeah I totally understand, plus the anxiety sucks too much.
So my boyfriend is currently going through this, based on the food recs in this video I created a smoothie and it’s REALLY helped. Wanted to share for others who can’t keep anything down.
- half or less of a frozen banana
- 4-5 cubes of ice
- 1/2 cup Fairlife 26g Vanilla protein drink
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1/2 cup whole fat plain yogurt (not Greek yogurt get the real stuff)
Blend and serve! Add some more Fairlife if you want it thinner
He said it’s really calmed down his stomach and I feel a lot better that he’s getting some protein and fat.
I went through same thing, it's like a dark horror dream, recommend getting sober because this over time will permanently destroy your health
As someone who also suffers from CHS. I highly recommend taking a daily probiotic. Completely changed my life. Keeps stomach healthy and HAPPY.
Finally getting my appetite back thanks to these 🙏🏻
I recently got chs and its a literal nightmare and i wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
Thanks! Dealing with this right now! IT SUCCCCKKS

You are a wealth of knowledge! I am learning so much within a few minutes in the video.
It's a nightmare. besides diet makesure you introduce heat to your body like hot showers, electric blankets or even heating pad and focus on the back of the neck then head and back along the spine. use lowest heat that helps so you may tolerate it longer or so your hot water can last longer also. lol use them separately not at same time obviously.

How are you feeling these days? I’m having the exact same issue
Everything you said I have too. I would go to the ER and they would take the faucet handles off cause I would drink from the sink in the room.

Is it CHS if you are only experiencing the nausea? Im not throwing up but i do gag. Still have loose stools as well. Im not sure if this is THC withdrawal or the nicotine withdrawal
there are 3 stages to chs. puking begins in the second!

If you have chs once you recover is it ok to smoke bud every once in a while
I wouldn’t you’ll just end up feeling like this again
I have a friend who does this and he gets bouts of chs everytime he starts again, even if it takes awhile. It’s not recommended because it strains the body to starve like that even if it’s one every few months
CHS is pretty much your body developing an allergy to bud. You aren't supposed to smoke once you've been diagnosed.

so would a bacon cheeseburger would be good? and what about scrambled eggs? i have a really weird eating thing i’m picky… i haven’t been having trouble not smoking i’m pretty good about it but i haven’t eaten a lot and i lost a couple pounds bc of it i was scared to eat a lot of different foods (im on day 20 because of your videos)
??
How are you doing now? Definitely make sure you aren’t eating fatty greasy foods my doctor told me to stay away until I can keep crackers and other things down
I have had chs for 6 days. No food. Vomiting up Electrolit Drinks.
apple sauce and benadryl helped me once I could keep it down, put rice in a sock and microwaved it put it on my belly, i hope u feel😢 better soon
What types of medications are you taking to help with the episodes? Ive heard that even if you cut out cannabis completely, you still have a percentage of a possibility of an episode any time or have i heard wrong?
I’m my experience I puked thru every medicine they gave me. From ondestronon pills to Promethagen suppositories…
But yes you can have flare ups while detoxing still.
I’m struggling with this shit man I’ve gotten CHS for the 5th time now.. I fuckin hate having an addictive personality
Why is it so hard to drink water? I'm so thirsty and it makes my stomach hurt
The cannabinols receptors in your body have tolerated so much TCH that they have become “faulty” as they say. THC can treat nausea in increments, but too much for too long has the reverse effect and thus those receptors tell your body it feels nauseous instead of normal. Hope this helps.
My husband had this for years and almost died.
@@Its_G1pedalyte, chicken noodles soup, saltine crackers have saved my life the past couple days.
This is day 3, I’m so miserable I’ve thought about death. Does the vape shops have anything to do with this
Nope it’s all thc/cbd products I’ve been having CHS for 8 years now, visit the hospital multiple times a year, I have tried going to cbd, delta, etc it’s all the same
How'd I get diagnosed for a illness I had before smoking....😂this is crazy
Taking notes
U might have cvs
I wish I took “everything in moderation” seriously. Cannabis addiction sucks. It really just sucks.
I craving all the bad things .
@@crazyninja59thanks reading this just gave me the hope I needed after my recovery... Definitely everything in excess fucks you up.
Is this person a real doctor? What kind?

I couldn’t eat anything during my episode . I barley drink children’s drink so I would die from dehydration
isnt chocolate a no no
But thc stores in fat soooooo......
F#ck started smoking again
tighten up
Yeah I did the same because my friends were told me I was probably overreacting and I just proved them wrong.. the recovery is the worst part about this thing
Holy Crap I cant even hold water 😢
I was able to suck on Lifes Savers' hard candy. Definitely recommend.
Bacon made me feel so shitty.
burgers are exactly what sent me to the ER what the hell are you talking about? Fatty foods are the last thing you should eat. Also no chocolate, some pretty bad suggestions here
Spelling error (7:12) creds pts lost with these typos..fyi
All credit lost for smoking weed lmfao
This is good information but You’ve got the warmth and personality of a tree slug. Smile, be kind. You are talking at your audience not to them. And your audience is suffering
Is ketchup bad?
