I'm at 3 min in and have to comment. I love both brands and couldn't agree more that they both have strengths and weaknesses but both are great. I started with Traxxas building for friends and family and now lean towards an Arrma fan but still love both brands equally. I'm also not a fan of the XRT at all... The Xmaxx has gone through a few generations and I think the XRT needs to get a few changes/tweaks as well. Arrma has had time to cycle generations with both the Kraton and the Outcast so its not really the same. I still remember this channel when it had only 1500 subs! I couldn't be happier seeing the growth this channel has taken. Congrats! I also noticed Kevin T building his grave digger truck and referring to Thunder RC and copying everything you did! How cool is that!!! The big dogs of the RC world are referencing Thunder and showing respect. Thats something to be proud of! Anyways I'm going to finish watching and just wanted to say thanks and congrats. I have around 10 rigs now and live on a few acres, its inspiring to watch and encourages me to go out and bash more! Hey brother your one hell of an operator!! I bought windshield squirtter tubing for $5 it’s 3’ and 4 zip ties keeping my X Maxx body from coming off. I saw the RC mad labs X Maxx body holding kit and just McGuyver it for $5. Never have to go get you body again staying on tight. Keep it going big boy love the videos. Fantastic! The arms haven't busted....arrma must have reformulated to a softer compound due to the bent shafts. As for the death ramp...maybe you could try a metal diamond plate for the ramp surface instead of wood.. probably the same weight. With a thinner layer of ply underneath.

We have both and enjoy both a lot. I mean they both have little gremlin sometimes, but that’s the Hobby. I mean when you’re sliding around on loose gravel and dirt is they’re anything better..lol I’m not a huge send it guy which makes my sons a little nuts. They see you and want to send them 30+ feet into the air, but that isn’t happening🤣 We really enjoy the channel

Like you said in your video. Both have their pros and cons and i buy both. That being said i dont have particularly good luck with Arrma but ive still bought more. My personal preferred RC is Losi as they have been the most reliable for me.

The XRT is in a bad car. The one thing that brakes on it all the time is the Chassis and the Front bulkhead. Best thing you can do is buy an aftermarket brace.💪⚡️🏆🚀🚀 keeping it as light as possible is key💪🚀🏆⚡️⚡️
RC life any rc I have losi 1/36 all the way to HPI baja 5 racing team associate it x-ray, Traxxas arrma Kyosho tekno crawlers racers love the hobby it’s all about having fun 😎🥃
Can't go wrong with either really. If you want flat out speed and handles Arrma. If you want a out of the box durable basher Xmaxx. Ideally having both is optimal. I have the Xmaxx, but I'll definitely pickup an Outcast if I find a deal in one.
There goes that center driveshaft again. Funny how it was making that noise last video. Then this video itvwasnt until the bad landing. Which likely means it was fixed previoys to this run. You should get the upgrade center shaft. Then you don't have to worry about that again. Aside from the insignificant criticism I do enjoy watching those absolut sends!

Looks like you get way better air control with the outcast. I know Traxxas and arrma have very different setups with the torque rating of the motor along with the gearing so like if you swapped in the same kv motor and pinion/spur size from an outcast to an xmaxx or vice versa, how well would it work? I'm really curious
Yes, due to the nature of the truck, being a lower center of gravity, chassis, and wider arms. The truck is going to fly and handle way better. The outcast is not a true monster truck, the truth is, it’s more of a Racing truggy. The X max has the high center of gravity and monster truck stands. Technically it is a real monster truck. Eric sells better at skate parks in rough terrain, but not in the air. Yes, you can make the Xmaxx handle better by lowering the suspension and doing a few things, but due to the chassis able always be in Xmaxx. 💯🔥🏆⚡️🚀🚀🚀
You mentioned that you don't like the XRT that much, why is that? I know it is more intended for racing and hooning around more than jumping since it is super low, but I'm not sure if you have other thoughts about it
I have Bashed 2 XRT‘s for about six months, had a great time bashing them. It is a great car! But it is not my favorite for several reasons. The number one reason is I keep breaking Front Bulkheads if I land wrong the number two reason is I don’t like the way that it drives.👍🔥🏆🏆⚡️⚡️

Yes, the Xmaxxs has incredible durability and is a Beast Basher for sure! The outcast just drives. It looks way better so much fun. Both trucks are amazing!💯🔥🔥⚡️⚡️🏆

I'd say xmaxx took more bad landings with just a rear diff very impressive outcast bent shaft and broke a rod end but I'd say xmaxx definitely took more bad landings with no issues
X-Maxx Tyres are too light or does not balloon enough? It looks like you have a hard time to get the front back up? Stock Tyre and Sledgehammer Tyres are awesome, but yeah, their Foam is not the best.
These are the pro line badlands MX 57s that I am running on the Traxxas X max. These are my favorite tires of all time. Just enough ballooning, but not too much and they hold up to Insane power. They also are super light.💪🔥⚡️🏆🤣🤩🔥🔥

I've never had the outcast but I did have an xmax 8s before and it was giving me issues.. the esc took A crap and My diffs kept blowing teeth even after being perfectly shimmed.. I do lots of off road racing now and I remember how difficult it was to keep it from Flipping over every single corner.. I have A fireteam and mojave now and both are absolute tanks and hopefully I get myself the Outcast next
I love both. But brand new Arrma Kraton exb RTR issues out box. 2 weeks old and annoyed with no support. XTR and XMAXX zero issues - i dont bash like you tho

The acceleration noise that Outcast makes on asphalt/concrete sounds very cool. Is that because of tires or something else? Are you going to get new Kraton 8s as well?
Killer video and driving. For me, it is just flip a coin cause both are incredible but very different. On a side note and just personal opinion. The Thunder sound bite made your channel grow but it is just plain annoying now. Do it when it is truly needed not just ever jump you land.
i love both of them. I have to have both. The only issue is that the Arrma community. If you say one thing bad about Arrma it's off with your head. Even if it's constructive criticism on how to make something better they will want to stone you in public. 😂 That's a bit too cringe for me. Other than that I'll always own both but I'll stay away from the Arrma forums. The Team Corraly community is the same way, if you say anything bad about the Team Corally they want a public execution. 😂
I feel that's the same way though with any group in any hobby. I currently have about a 50/50 split between arrma/traxxas and now I have the losi pro moto mx. But I have all the 8s rigs both sides have to offer let alone on the 6s trucks. It's the same way over in all the traxxas groups. You say one thing they jump all over you. I'd say traxxas and arrma communities are the same in my experience
The Traxxas community is the same when you tell them the electronics are garbage. They're quick to tell you you're wrong but dozens of traxxass cars with failed electronics at my LHS aren't wrong...

The XRT is in a bad car. The one thing that brakes on it all the time is the Chassis and the Front bulkhead. Best thing you can do is buy an aftermarket brace.💪⚡️🏆🚀🚀 keeping it as light as possible is key💪🚀🏆⚡️⚡️

There goes that center driveshaft again. Funny how it was making that noise last video. Then this video itvwasnt until the bad landing. Which likely means it was fixed previoys to this run. You should get the upgrade center shaft. Then you don't have to worry about that again. Aside from the insignificant criticism I do enjoy watching those absolut sends!

I know Traxxas and arrma have very different setups with the torque rating of the motor along with the gearing so like if you swapped in the same kv motor and pinion/spur size from an outcast to an xmaxx or vice versa, how well would it work? I'm really curious
Yes, due to the nature of the truck, being a lower center of gravity, chassis, and wider arms. The truck is going to fly and handle way better. The outcast is not a true monster truck, the truth is, it’s more of a Racing truggy. The X max has the high center of gravity and monster truck stands. Technically it is a real monster truck. Eric sells better at skate parks in rough terrain, but not in the air. Yes, you can make the Xmaxx handle better by lowering the suspension and doing a few things, but due to the chassis able always be in Xmaxx. 💯🔥🏆⚡️🚀🚀🚀
On the Outcast you gotta get M2C axles.
You mentioned that you don't like the XRT that much, why is that? I know it is more intended for racing and hooning around more than jumping since it is super low, but I'm not sure if you have other thoughts about it
I have Bashed 2 XRT‘s for about six months, had a great time bashing them. It is a great car! But it is not my favorite for several reasons. The number one reason is I keep breaking Front Bulkheads if I land wrong the number two reason is I don’t like the way that it drives.👍🔥🏆🏆⚡️⚡️

The XMAXX with the Arrma Dboots Backflips LPs is the sickest combo for skateparks. It is insane air control.

I've never had the outcast but I did have an xmax 8s before and it was giving me issues.. the esc took A crap and My diffs kept blowing teeth even after being perfectly shimmed.. I do lots of off road racing now and I remember how difficult it was to keep it from Flipping over every single corner.. I have A fireteam and mojave now and both are absolute tanks and hopefully I get myself the Outcast next

i love both of them. I have to have both. The only issue is that the Arrma community. If you say one thing bad about Arrma it's off with your head. Even if it's constructive criticism on how to make something better they will want to stone you in public. 😂 That's a bit too cringe for me. Other than that I'll always own both but I'll stay away from the Arrma forums. The Team Corraly community is the same way, if you say anything bad about the Team Corally they want a public execution. 😂
I feel that's the same way though with any group in any hobby. I currently have about a 50/50 split between arrma/traxxas and now I have the losi pro moto mx. But I have all the 8s rigs both sides have to offer let alone on the 6s trucks. It's the same way over in all the traxxas groups. You say one thing they jump all over you. I'd say traxxas and arrma communities are the same in my experience
The Traxxas community is the same when you tell them the electronics are garbage. They're quick to tell you you're wrong but dozens of traxxass cars with failed electronics at my LHS aren't wrong...
