Woah that was quick... you mentioned looking for an apartment yesterday and you already found one! Congrats, I'm sure you will continue to make great memories in the new apartment!!!
You are minimalistic in the way that you try to only buy things that are meaningful to you. I noticed that you say "but I don't need it" or "I wouldn't use it" which is part of minimalism and also money saving (practical) mindset. You try to keep your home tidy and not cluttered (on surfaces or the floor). I hope you got that apartment, it sounds amazing.
That’s true, I don’t like to buy things I don’t need. The rooms are quite cluttered so I need to clean them out eventually. I think I don’t like buying new things but I also don’t like throwing out things
8:43 lol. Beyond adorable. (Kim to Hina) "Hina, I've never given you food before. Never. What makes you think this times going to be different?" (Hina to Kim) "Because I'm a cute dog?" (Hina thinking to herself, now give her the big adorable eyes) Also Kim, good luck to you and Eric in getting the Apartment you want.
Omg came here straight from the video you were talking about the last 2 years and how hard it is to find an apartment in Japan. And now here you are😂❤ congrats Kim!
Oh absolutely not haha. I think those are very hyped up and there’s a reason why it’s so cheap. The houses are in rural areas, you have to drive 30 minutes to get to a grocery store. Most of the time these houses are also unliveable with lots of issues, you will need to renovate the whole place before moving in which will be very expensive
Such an exciting vlog! 🎉 Applying for a new apartment and a Lisa concert in one go? That's a dream day! 🏡🎶 Loving the cozy vibes of life in Japan 🇯🇵 Can't wait to see more! 🌟 #VlogmasMagic Fyi.
Good luck Kim..my personal experience is if you dont use that stuff for 3 months. You dont need it to be in your closet anymore. And putting back the stuff back to original place immediately when home will also help than pilling up and tidy later
Hearing you peaceful voice this is SO perfect ♥️. You should be an audiobook reader!😊congratulations!I knew it it feel like this is your place best of luck BEAUTIFUL ❤❄️✨️❄️✨️✨️❄️keep the magic coming ✨️ ❤️
Yay!! I hope the application is successful Kim! So hard finding the right place. 3 full bedrooms (as opposed to just an office). Hmmmm possible expansion of family???
I would definitely recommend it if you have the chance! She is so amazing live, she sounded better than the recorded tracks! I wish I was able to film some of it but since it's Japan we couldn't :(
I heard people say that if you eat and let your pets enjoy their food at the same time, they will bond with you more deeply. Alternatively, you could just give them a small piece of their own snack.
We usually feed Hina and eat at the same time. She finishes her food pretty quickly then comes over to us to beg for more 😅 she does give up pretty quickly though
They have outlawed rental bidding in Australia...to make it fair for all applicants ...not saying it doesn't happen at all but it's not supposed to happen
I hope so, I remember looking at houses in Sydney to rent and there were at least 40 people in front of waiting in line to just view the place, we knew there was no chance for us since we had a dog too.
How long do you plan to stay in Japan? I remember you once said you would only be in Japan for 1 or 2 years so your husband can also have the experience of living abroad, Have those plans changed? Are you able to stay longer?
It was 1-2 years, but we both enjoy living here so much that we have decided to settle down in Japan and stay long term. Not sure how long but for now at least another 5 years
I have been thinking about living in Japan, maybe spending one year there, in the near future. But I'm a bit worried about the bank account drama you mentioned, as most of us from the western world have three, even four names. And is it easy for foreigners to rent an apartment? Without work history in Japan? All would you recommend staying in a hotel for a couple of months, and work, so I can apply for an apartment, and that they will see a steady income? Also, are references needed? Thanks. And I'm certain you would get that new apartment. Fingers crossed.
Yeah the bank account drama was really stupid. It was easier to get a bank account back in the days but it's gotten harder now unfortunately. Most banks require a work contract before they give you one. For us to rent an apartment, honestly it was easy but maybe it's because we had a bigger budget and there was less competition. If you show your work contract that should be fine without work history in Japan. We got our apartment without any work history at all. Though as foreigners you do need a guarantor company so there are extra costs. Also from what I have noticed from the apartments we were renting, a lot of the landlords aren't even Japanese, but are Chinese investors
We only want to buy if we are planning to stay in Japan long term. Housing prices do not increase in Japan so we wouldn’t buy a place here to use an investment property, we would only buy if we live in the place. But also for tax purposes it does work out better to rent

Oh absolutely not haha. I think those are very hyped up and there’s a reason why it’s so cheap. The houses are in rural areas, you have to drive 30 minutes to get to a grocery store. I would definitely recommend it if you have the chance! She is so amazing live, she sounded better than the recorded tracks! I wish I was able to film some of it but since it's Japan we couldn't :(
What!? Is it 1pm!? I can tell that you definitely need to move out for the sunlight… I would be depressed as well if I lived in this dark apartment
Yeah the place is sooooo dark in winter 😭

Oh, thanks for your advice. I will definitely make sure I have enough funds, and do some research before I plan to move there.
Oh man the middle name box
Ugh
did you guys think about buying something ? or is that a whole new problem
