Thank you this boss was super easy but I literally couldn’t figure out what I had to do after I “stunned” it I was in the fight doing the same thing for like 20 minutes before I looked up a guide
My mind just automatically connects green with super missiles, that I had no clue what to do in the boss fight after I shot the tentacle at the ceiling away
This boss really does throw you off after no 2nd phase or after-reward. Despite all this though, it’s still slightly disappointing how this is one of the 5 main bosses in the game (golzuna and escue don’t have a cutscene and doesn’t really add to anything)
"and doesn't really add to anything" Golzuna and Escue literally give you important power ups lol. They're arguably more important than Drogyga that doesn't really give you anything and is just there... blocking the path.
polygon didn't say to shoot the tiny button, thank god this video showed it, tried using the spider magnet and it wasn't working, sigh. thanks for the vid dude
This boss is amazing! The water made this boss all the more fun to fight. When's the last time we had a legitimate underwater boss in Metroid where we had to fight it without a gravity enhancing upgrade??
Never. We've never had a boss fight underwater without the gravity enhancement upgrade. Just like we've never had a cake frosted with cyanide or a space shuttle made of matches. Do you know why? Because all of these things are shithead ideas.
Really? The button on the left hand side that's the solution? No wonder so many of us had to look this up, yeah it lights up but the fight really makes you think the goal is to get on the other side of the monster not glide over its head while shooting at a random ass button.. our eyes are glued to the boss itself looking for a weak point not a random point in the wall.
After watching this video I was able to finish this fight the first try! I got through it slightly faster by melee countering when Drogyga tries to swat Samus with those tentacles...if successful you get an extra opportunity to deal more damage
I literally couldn't beat Kraid and out of frustration I went looking everywhere for Energy upgrades. I ended up getting the grapple beam and morph bombs early. After a couple hours of gameplay I remembered that I actually didn't beat him hahahah
Progression, if you notice before the fight you'll see Drogyga's tentacles are in the way of places in Burenia. After you defeat it an it turns to stone so do the tentacles outside in other rooms.
@@gregbrian7847 I feel like you gotta be quick about it because the damage from just one of those tentacles alone is enough to make you keep you on your toes.
Hate to say it cos I'm absolutely loving Dread atm, but I cant help but feel this was just poor boss design. Without looking up a guide I'd have no clue I'm supposed to shoot the buttons... they just look like background setting, especially underwater. Had no clue wtf i was supposed to do
I had to fight this boss with no plasma cannon or super missiles or gravity suit😣😣 didn’t get the plasma cannon & super missles till after the fight and I still don’t have the gravity suit loll I knew i was under equipped but I couldn’t let that stop me especially once I caught on to the pattern
I was so thrown off there was no upgrade for this fight. I fall through the floor and it's like "What? That's it?"

I imagine being turned to stone is incredibly painful too

never fails to make me laugh. samus is probably thinking "that is one shrivelled anus i'm not willing to deal with again."
For the life of me I could not get on the other side of it.
How lol

Samus at time 2:53 going like "what the hell did I just fight"
I didn't realise I could inflict extra damage with the missiles. made this boss allot easier and faster.
Didn't realize you were supposed to shoot the switches behind you to drop the water
Underwater Spore Spawn?
Basically yes
As per tradition.
nah, it's based on Zero Mission
@@skyprojectro I played zero mission before this. Where is that inspired from in the game. The space pirates?
@@iamcoolrthenu2710 it's a remake of the first Metroid title.
You can pary the tentacle when it opens up for more damage
How tho??

May i add that escue gives the diffusion missiles, which is highly important to damage bosses
I feel like Drogyga should be a boss in the deeper area of Burenia guardian the gravity suit.
Another boss should take its place.

They have what is likely Draygon in a tank in Dairon but give us a giant underwater flower as a boss...
Okay, I killed this boss so hard it didnt even enter phase 2. What the hell.

Is it just me or there’s no reward for this ?
It just sucks xD I believed for a moment that I was gonna recieve the Gravity Suit, but didn't happen
This boss becomes really easy after the second time you fight him
It's just a matter time before the hentai nerds draw some artwork involving samus and the tentacles.

Its kind of an odd fight. the idea that you have to hit both pipes on either side ASAP to proceed is a bit random. It looks like I almost got him.
Why does this look easy? I am stuck on this boss. I died to it Multiple times.
Edit: I figured it out my self but thanks anyway.
yeah same that boss is a real turd
Bc you are both little noobs
The key is hitting X when the boss swipes a tentacle during vulnerability phase. You reload health, missiles, and do great damage.
I was having a hard time Bc I had no idea I had to shoot at that target. After this video I had no issues tho
shut up
Thanks
I'm at this boss but only have 2 health bars....damnit
Hope we get a Metroid 6 someday.
Okay, so its normal not to get any powers or abilities after this fight.. or after the next fight.. wow.
Man this guy needs practice with this boss he didnt even do a parry
well done !
This boss dies faster if you Parry
How do you dodge the three tentacle spear?
Sameee, thats the only attack that is blocking me from actually killing the tentacle
