Me too. I only fly first class. Most of the time. I am the only black person in first class. I get the looks of suspicion and everything else. And it only happens to me here in the United States. I have traveled worldwide and I do not have these issues anywhere else.
The airport staff treated Me'arah so wrong. I've been discriminated many times for different reasons. If I happened to be at the airport at that time, I'd stand beside he as a support person to talk with her until her dad came. Even though I don't know her, I'm proud of how she handled the situation. She's pretty! I'd like to have met her, & her dad.
Mahira showed incredible patience and composure throughout such a frustrating ordeal. She’s a great example of strength and self-control in the face of unfair treatment.
Unfortunately, being black in America one of the most racist countries, Black people have to deal with racism daily, and we have to show a sign of strength and self control in order not to be labeled as the angry black woman or angry black man.

I definitely saw a few interesting looks, but that's people, so it didn't bother me. Everything else went fine. I think it helps that we were flying out of Atlanta, so seeing Black folks in first class isn't new. On the return flight, I was behind two of the people who were speakers at the conference that we attended, also Black women.
That is sad that is so sad that we are still being treated like we can’t afford any day and it doesn’t even matter who our payments could be praise God that she’s fine and everything is OK but that’s crazy how they discriminate us with powerful parents
Typical behavior towards Black people in this country. I went through LAX this past Friday. I flew Sky Priority on Delta in a first class seat. I was the only Black person in the TSA line. I was the only person whose passport they perused like it was a book to read. It took forever. In fact, the guy walked away and never came back. Another person went ahead and took my passport and flagged me past. Typical behavior against Black people in America.
