I plan on getting this 1 pack (total 2 units) to shoot a little music video promo for my dance studio. Will also be shooting in the studio that has high ceilings and approx 600ft of open space. How many do you think I would need of these 2 packs (total 4 units) would suffice? I plan to use at highest brightness RGB settings. Appreciate your inputs. Thanks in advance! 🙂
Thanks you for great feedback! Yes, panels are 100% full brightness and functionality with batteries. As for your setup... A couple of questions to get you best bang for buck to meet your needs... Do you need all the panels to have RGB function, or can 2 be RGB and 2 Bi-color(white) lighting? You have a big space and want to steer you in most versatile setup for your studio. I have a video posting today of a super bright light that may be just what you are looking for... I am finishing up the editing now. Are you looking to highlight your entertainers/ dancers nice and bright(crisp) with a flood or wash of color in background to enhance the visuals?

Am in a very preliminary phase of putting together my concept, but I can tell you that I want my dancers to be the focus. The choreo/dancers should be well visible. Hello, thanks for this review , at the beginning I was about to buy the 660 pro RGB, but I saw that 1200D from gvm exist, in all specs I saw it seem to be better and maybe much brighter, but I'm in France it's difficult to find the 1200d or 1000 d and much more expensive, maybe I will not have to much choice and go back on my first choice the 660 pro RGB, do you think it's a mistake ? if you tried them side by side is there a noticeable brigtness difference between them ? I'd really like the 1200 but in my case almost impossible $200 for shipping + light price :-/ so ... thank you
Let me start off by saying, I love the GVM 1000D lighting kit... it is super nice kit. Very bright, amazing app control and just does what is supposed to do. I just got the GVM 1200D, and will have a video review in 2 weeks or so. Seems to be just a brighter version of 1000D lights, but not 100% as I haven't unboxed it yet. I also have the Neewer 660 Bi-color 3 Light Kit. I absolutely love this kit as well. So. I think both Neewer and GVM are great manufactures at a super price point. That being said... I think the app control on GVM is really amazing and very easy to use. My thoughts... I think you would be very happy with any of the 3 options. Price and value for the money is always a factor. I think you would be super happy with the 1000D... I know I am. Would I recommend the 1200D for $200 more... NO. Get the 1000D and you will be super happy. Although the 1200d had 5 watts more... that is not really worth the additional $200 IMO. I can not comment on 660 RGB as I have never seen one in person, but I do like the 660 Bi-colors and Neewer has a great product for price point.

The 1000 RGB mode seems good too, I just wonder if 96 rgb it can be bright as the 660 pro RGB that have 320 led, maybe not but I think we need more often white that color, and color it's for a touch of atmosphere ( we never want all seen green of purple at 7000lux !! lol) so thank you :-) Barndoor seem to be in plastic compare to neewer, is it ok stong enough ?

I agree... the LED panels are great, but stands are poor. For me, they work, but the wobble on mount on one of my stands was annoying. I drilled out the pop rivet, added some metal epoxy and re-riveted. Now it works great. I videoed the process, just haven't edited it. The LED panel is pretty amazing though.

The stands are less than okay. They're pretty cheap…. But at least the quality of the lights makes up a bit…
