Ancient Contact With Aliens? The Lost Advanced Civilization of Sanxingdui

  • In the misty mountains of Sichuan, China, a cache of haunting relics has been discovered, pointing to a completely lost yet highly advanced ancient civilization.
    Hollow eyes stare out from strange bronze faces, their expressions twisted into otherworldly contortions. Shimmering gold masks adorned with intricate patterns and eerie features hint at a civilization far more sophisticated than any previously known to have existed in the region. Yet the hands that crafted these masterpieces have long since turned to dust, leaving behind few clues about the people who created them.
    This is the mystery of Sanxingdui, a once-thriving metropolis that vanished with little trace over 3,000 years ago. Discovered by accident in the late 1980s, the main archaeological site has yielded a treasure trove of artifacts that challenge our understanding of ancient Chinese history. The sheer sophistication and artistry of the bronze and gold works suggest a culture that had mastered advanced metallurgy and possessed a complex spiritual worldview.
    But as remarkable as the Sanxingdui finds are, they raise more questions than answers. Who were the people behind these haunting creations? What cataclysm or upheaval caused their city to be abandoned and forgotten?

      They know what the people want and it's that weird intro with the beeps and boops! I remember watching dark5 videos before he did narration/hired a narrator. It was just a bunch of text at the bottom of the screen. I remember being so excited when he started doing more "traditional" videos. Now there are like 14 channels! Lol

    I’m confused. 3,000 years ago is only 1,000 B.C. The artifacts are indeed impressive, but the Egyptians were more advanced much earlier than that.
    It’s true that they weren’t metallurgists, but the Great Pyramid is still the most accurately aligned structure on the planet, to this day.
    We can replicate these artifacts. We _cannot_ replicate the pyramids.
    I’m not trying to downplay the significance of these artifacts. I simply don’t understand why it’s so hard to believe that ancient people were much smarter than we give them credit for. Especially since we have evidence of advanced cultures thousands of years older than this.

    • @bigbossimmotal
      @bigbossimmotal 5 місяців тому +2

      I do not believe that the Great Pyramid is the most accurately aligned structure on Earth, nor do I believe that it would be impossible to duplicate today. The pyramids are absolutely amazing yes, without question. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man made structure on Earth for 3,800 years, absolutely nothing has, or likely ever will match that record. But you may want to check your facts, not take the word of UA-cam content creators.

    • @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones
      @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones 5 місяців тому +6

      @@bigbossimmotal It doesn’t really matter what you believe. I’ve known it to be a fact for years, but out of fairness I just consulted my friend Mr. Google. He says…
      “The Great Pyramid is the most accurate construction in aligning true north of the Earth with an error ratio of only 0.05 degrees.”
      I don’t get my facts from any one source, thank you very much. 😁

    • @bigbossimmotal
      @bigbossimmotal 5 місяців тому

      "I don't get my facts from only one source", yet you only provide 1 and it is from some half assed travel agencies website in Egypt.
      The most accurately aligned structure on Earth is the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, if you were wondering. It is a 17 MILE long ring built hundreds of feet underground. I know, FACTS are irrelevant when your feelings are involved, but NOW you know.
      And I couldn't help but notice that you completely avoided the other topic you were wrong about, so I am assuming you found how wrong you are, but held out one tiny glimmer of hope anyway.
      I am sorry, but you were wrong on both counts, and I am sorry it triggered you. Fortunately your delusion doesn't reflect on the awesomeness that is The Great Pyramid.

    • @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones
      @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones 5 місяців тому +5

      How long it is, and how deep underground is irrelevant. Nobody was talking about length or depth. How accurately aligned is it, and where can I verify that?
      You say I have only provided one source. You have provided zero sources, nor have you even stated how accurately aligned it is.
      The reason I’m not debating you about recreation is that it cannot be proven either way (unless you plan on building one to prove me wrong) so it would be a waste of time.
      If you can provide the actual alignment accuracy of the LHC, and where I can verify that number, then I will concede the debate.

    • @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones
      @Mr_Top_Hat_Jones 5 місяців тому +3

      @@bigbossimmotal By the way, this is the answer you get when you google “What is the most accurately aligned structure on Earth”
      The Great Pyramid of Giza is the most accurately aligned structure on the surface of the planet, facing true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. The Great Pyramid of Giza's alignment is mind-boggling.
      No matter how far down the results I scroll, there is no mention of the LHC.

    Given the large amounts of bronze and the frivolity of it's use, yet no signs of smelting ore this was probably a trade hub for the bronze trade.
    There's really only two reasons trade hub towns get deserted. Either they get sacked and burned by a rival looking to take their place or something caused the trade to collapse.
    There's no sign they got the Trojan Treatment, which leaves economic collapse.
    We *know* that the Silk Road has collapsed and been reformed multiple times throughout history.
    This place being a victim to one of those collapses is the likeliest answer, if a bit boring.
    Also I might add, 5000 years propaganda is like stating the Mediterranean culture is 5000 years of continuous Hele culture.
    The people of ancient China were as radically different from modern Chinese as a modern Sicilian is from the Helenistic settlers, if not more so. The only real hold overs are their written characters and insanely oppressive governance. To refuse to accept that modern chinese culture is a result of 5000 years of outside influence and pressure is delusional

    The video confuses this region of China with China in general when saying things like no one knew that Chinese civilization was this advanced. The Shang and Zhou dynasties are well known and certainly on the level of Sanxingdui but these better known Bronze Age Chinese civilizations were far to the North East around the Yangtze and Yellow river basins that were the foundation of all the Chinese dynasties. The point is that no one knew of a separate Bronze Age civilization in South Western China until recently.
