- Very few sacred texts have ever existed with such powerfully sinister associations and connotations as the Codex Gigas, also known as The Devil’s Bible, so called because of the 50-centimeter tall illustration of the Devil, which occupies an entire page within.
Interestingly, the fork-tongued Devil sits opposite a description of the Kingdom of Heaven, suggesting that the artist had an interest in the dichotomy of good and evil.
Famous for its sheer size as well as its many intricate illustrations, the Devil's Bible is a 13th-century manuscript from Bohemia in what is now part of the Czech Republic. 'Codex Gigas' literally means 'giant book,' and it holds the title of the largest extant medieval illustrated manuscript in existence, measuring 92 centimeters in length and around 22 centimeters in thickness, bound with leather and metal.
Its pages demonstrate incredible detail and precision and contain the entire Latin Bible, in addition to various other historical and religious texts and, most disturbingly, directions for exorcism rituals and magic formulas.
The Codex is said to have been created with the intention of storing all of the world’s knowledge in a single book, and some of its contents puzzle historians to this day...
I know it's a bit much to ask, but a deep deep dive into the Egyptian Book of the Dead would be very intriguing.

@@malighn they have other things in it that let everyone know that they were much more advanced. One of them is an instrument used for removing cataracts. We use the same instrument today, we just added a couple of upgrades. Now stop and think about that for a minute. They knew how to operate on the most sensitive part of the human body. They knew much more then what is being told.

@@jameswhite9967 lol the copy you picked up is trash compared to the original version. I already know they left "stuff" out of the new version of it. Think of it like the bible. Its changed so much over the years, same goes for the Egyptian Book of the Dead. Go look up the original ingredients to holy water. Your going to find an ingredient that is considered bad in most countrys. There will be two versions of the word, both mean the same thing. Bet you could guess it with a simple hint: it's a plant that has very unique flowers that you can also smoke. Happy hunting.

John Dee is worth a video all by himself. A very interesting and enigmatic person.

I always find topics like this interesting. In Occultism literally no one talks about the Codex Gigas because we all know it's not from the Devil. You'd be better off looking for a book by the devil within Luciferianism or Traditional Witchcraft. Unless an outsider asks us a question about the Codex, it's never mentioned in legitimate occult circles.

The Codex Gigas was tested and scrutinized finally discovered to have been written by one hand. The Handwriting never changes to show different people wrote it.

Wouldn't be written by the same hand if 2 persons wrote it. Handwriting styles would be different.
If I recall, there are no mistakes, no deviation in writing or line changes and I believe they said it would take 1 man 25-30 years non stop with no mistakes to write it.

I know this might be too much, but I would have thought the video titled "the Real Black Mirror" would have at least shown some footage or multiple photos of the Obsidian Mirror... Given "it's currently on display in a British Museum". honest feedback: for me it sounds as if you are in a hurry because you have the oven on or something, for me it makes it uncomfortable to listen to, its fast and almost as if it is sped up witch almost make words sound blurry, dont get me wrong, its better than those monotome videos out there, but i have to really focus to hear what you are saying, i hope you dont take this as an offence because i really am saying this as feedback, but 12 minutes of "sped up" rushing speach is tiring for an authist like me, the editing of the clip is toptier tho
