The workshop series was my favourite. Couldn't understand why you built it so small. Possibly the weight of the logs. Be interesting how you develope it.
My understanding is that he built the workshop right before he moved up there from the old property. So presumably he needed that space to be done relatively quickly, to give him a covered building before he started on the other structures.
Agree, I thought he was going to build work much larger than what is essentially a shed. He mentioned a bushcraft school. He should also build a 3 space garage.

You could really use a track loader, alot more power and huge bucket to move material and easy times spreading all that gravel and dirt.
But alot more expensive than that tractor I'm sure.
Can't wait to see your visions of that area around the workshop come together and being built. Even the new fire pit for cooking.

I had guessed that the gravel was for a garage but a workshop extension makes sense. Oh man you’ve gotten so much done without one so far, so with a proper workshop you’re going to be unstoppable 😅. And if, you know, by chance the workshop ends up organically evolving into a man cave as time goes by that would just be a coincidence 🤷🏻♂️ and not a part of the plan all along 😉😂

I wonder what your thoughts are on a decision to disappear from the internet and I don't know how long versus not going anywhere and still exposing your existence to evil Government people that could stay aware of you or become aware. People trying to tax everybody to death and stuff.

Do a lot of trees fall near your Cabin and other buildings?....I am planning a new home in Maine and was considering removing all trees within 60 ft of my House for safety reasons. I had a med size pine fall in my yard at my present home and it made me a little paranoid about some of the 50 and 60 ft Oaks surrounding my Home....Love the shade and Birds trees provide but they are unforgiving when their time is up....Any experience you can share?...Thank you.

I was thinking the same thing when we got dumped over a foot yesterday in northern Maine, more than we got the whole winter in one clip. I thought, maybe the Groundhog just got a little confused.🤔

Please, please share more of the details of your new diet... I've done a bit of research, and with the exception of nightshades, most of what I find is contradictory. I'd love to know more about how your diet is changing and where you get the best information about it.

You are not telling us your plans because your plan is not static and could change over time. I'm assuming you will not reveal the plan until you've started it and have it set. I've watched your content long enough to know you carefully plan everything, and probably change your mind about the plan. I'm waiting with baited breath. lol

Shawn working alone there is a limit to what you can achieve but with coming better weather things and ideals should improve your idealogy but don't over do things, you hear us your viewers ?
This little workshop cabin is my favorite from all your builds. There’s just something about the structure and coziness of it.

the ridge line looks like an awesome place for all the berries you can handle ... as a hedgerow to make a living fence of prickly fruits
Figured you were working on the main workshop area to make the other builds faster because everything they require will get done in the same location and can be doe in bulk for more than one project at a time

SHAWN & OUR CALI !!! You will still need the other landing for holding boards or Logs for Drying on out to be worked on !!! That will help you on out !!! It will be a clear shot through both of the places then for you!!! Then to be able to close up the Tiny cabin there to hold in the heat in case of a snow storm !!! OUR CALI will like it also !!!
Is the cabin over that ridge to the south? Did that parlor stove ever get refinished?
Lots of projects and that's far better than being done with nothing left to do.

Way down south here, had thunder in february, means good chance of late frost/freeze. After 3 weeks of warmth, freeze hit couple days ago. I'm going for it now, planting warm crop but locals say I should wait still.

I would really like to know how well (or not) your mushrooms did. I was definitely interested in the concept of propagating mushrooms but don't see the stacked logs as I remember beside the workshop. Can you comment regarding this? Thanks.
My experience with gravel haulers is they are reluctant to go too far off the main road, even if they have a 4WD dump truck. I've been waiting for a decade to get some gravel for trails because it has simply been too wet. There may be short windows during a dry spell in the summer where it might be possible. If you can get a delivery next to a main road, you might be able to haul gravel in with your tractor and a cart with a HD axle. The cart can't be too large or you will get stuck. I have ruined some carts and I have gotten some stuck.

About your hat. It is obviously is too small for you. Buy a bigger one OR have your wife or somebody crochet 3 rows of really tight stitches around the edge of the hat or however many more it takes to bring it down over your ears. Free advice! HA

As our own place would demonstrate, what looks haphazard to an outsider looking in simply makes logistical (or financial) sense to the one working on the project.
When Cali is ready for it, she knows where to get it. By the look on her face I think she's thinking when to start training you to be the head retriever🤔 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 🐶
