his coordinators did their job
Kirby said it was NOT communicated from the booth coaches over the headseat, because there's 3 different headset channels and he still had his on Defense mode instead of special teams. He just felt the vibe was off and sussed it out somehow.
Lol OSU had 12 people on the field as well…
12 men on the field for OSU on that fake punt
I'm looking for Ray Finkle.....and a clean pair of shorts..
That’s the difference between Kirby and Richt
💯💯💯
At 0:18 you can count 12 Buckeyes lined up for the play.
Good call by the ref from a badgers fan who was voting for Ohio to win sadly I couldn’t see Big ten vs big ten but what a hell of a game
OSU had 12 players on the field anyway. It's a reviewable play and wouldn't have counted anyway. For all you sour OSU fans who think the ball was already snapped.
The ref didn’t call it until AFTER the snap, but to be fair, smart was calling it before the snap and the refs missed it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ref only needs to hear it before the snap. They can call the play dead midplay as long as the TO was heard before the snap
You can see the refs head turn toward Kirby right before the snap. He blows the play dead well after the snap, but he see's and acknowledges the timeout right before it. As they explained on the broadcast once the official has determined to grant the timeout it doesn't matter when the whistle blows.
Ohio st had 12 men on field
Yeah how many times have you seen a field goal kicker make a kick then find out there was a time out called just before the snap? Same thing here
Ref should be fired then, literally didnt blow his whistle when he acknowledged the timeout, waved his hands and let georiga see the play if the replay is properly alligned
I guess his name is Kirby Smart for a reason🗿
Except it was clearly the coach's in the field box who saw it, but hey, you can't make a play on words if you relay it as it actually happened.
Heads-up for the upstairs to see it and telling Kirby to quickly call timeout
OSU had 12 men on the field on the fake punt. So what is OSU really trying to do?
See, Ryan Day? You actually CAN use the timeouts that you have.
Anyone else gonna notice they got 12 men on the field..lol
HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS BABY
BACK TO BACK
Even if the play would have gotten off 12 men on the field can be buzzed down don't need a flag for it. Kirby could have challenged it as well.
As someone with no skin in this game, it painfully obvious the timeout was called before the snap.
Kirby Genius.
That was a great timeout by Kirby Smart.
Ohio State had 12 players on the field so there should have been a penalty regardless. However, all too often there are penalties that should get called but get missed.
10000 iq play from Kirby
Georgia Missed a 3 pointer from 47 yards early in the game. Ohio missed a 50 yard 3 pointer at the end of the game.
Our guy missed 2 field goals. Both from inside his usual range. 40+ FGs are hard in college.
even if they didn't sniff the fake there was already a Georgia defender on 34 of OSU
Michigan and OSU losing is the best New Year's gift.
Ohio State had 12 men on the field; the refs missed it
How big was that 2 point conversion?
OSU had 12 on the field.
At 0:19 you can clearly see Ohio State had 12 men on the field.
That turf was getting everyone.
The turf monster grabbed the OSU DB and that was that. Easiest 75 yard TD pass ever.
Arian Smith is a 10.1 100m track guy not many DBs can hang with him period. The DB was turned around and toast before he fell. Turf monster didn’t get him. That elite speed did.
Turf monster was very active in that game. He got Kenny McIntosh at the 14 yd also.😄
kirby is very smart
Nah
Yeah for paying them refs, clearly didnt get that shit off
@@dubvideos Yes he did…
What a battle this game was
This was one of the plays that save ga
It would have “saved” them anyways. Ohio state had 12 men on the field 0:22 gives you a better look.
Dawgs sniffed it out 😂😂😂🦴🐶
His name is Kirby SMART for a reason
Alternative broadcast called it bro. 100 iq from part owner of packers I believe
Living up to his name
Dawgs gonna eat!
DOES A SMART THING!
Ohio state also had 12 men on the field
ball was already snapped
12 men on the field
Coach of the year
He hesitated at first because Ohio State had 12 men on the field but no one called it
OSU meant to do this vs UM at around 6:06 to go in the 3rd, but for some reason they snapped it to the punter (who was heading the other way, and appeared to be surprised) instead of the upback.
Smart gets all the credit for this but it was probably someone from upstairs that actually told him to.
Smart man.
