I don't do shit and I use them too, not all of them but I use them at least five times per boot, I don't think I would be able to replace them with macros since all of them do different things (depending on the program running)
Kind of disappointing that they didn't even go into its capabilities. Is it just limited to a picture.or a gif or something? In which case it is just a novelty. I could see it having a niche practical benefit if you can feed it CPU/GPU usage/temps, have it pop up email or teams notifications or things like that when you just don't want it as in your face or using up screen real estate.
Always thought that by now we would have at least the F-row keys as OLED keys. I remember seeing that keyboard and thinking I don't want those keys as my WASD keys but I would love them for a macro pad

One thing I learned this week using a tiny borrowed laptop at work for some "programming" is that I hate tiny (less than full) keyboards. I have wondered if I could live without my numpad, the answer to that is a resounding no.

Nice little keyboard, but I think that picture thing is stupid. It'd be nice if you could tap into, like, the CPU temperature or something and have it display on that little screen. But just uploading an image to be there statically, I think is kind of dumb. You could put a sticker on there and have the same thing.

I still use the Logitech G19. The screen feature was amazing, though through the dropped support, today its a bit lacking. Back in the day it was amazing. You could play UA-cam Videos on it or put stuff like timers or photos. It could also display CPU usage natively. Had it been further developed, today this would be the most useful tool for PCs.
With outer bezels that large and a target that includes professionals, there needs to be a Function Key row at the top. move stuff down to make room for it at the top

Logitech g19 had a screen and it's probably my favourite non-mechanical keyboard, though I wish they'd done a version with the extra keys on a separate pad so you could move them around/remove them
Royal Kludge makes a 87% keyboard with almost identical layout, but the screen is just black and white that shows just battery percentage, macOS/windows mode, and which device to select to when you’re switching between cable/BT/2.4ghz And that keyboard has volume controls with the knob in addition to switch devices

Am I the only one who gets annoyed by the constant fidgety movement of presenter's hands. One one side, you're trying to show an object and shaking the hell out of it while doing it. I know it's not easy to keep it stationary, but I'm sure people who can figure out replacing video background in real time should be able to figure this out as well

I've just realized why I dislike Plouffe as a host/reviewer; he's the type of customer that landed us in this "no headphone jacks, all displays have notches, no bezels allowed" phone caul-de-sac. Every time something is NOVEL to him, he slobbers all over it, regardless of how completely stupid or pointless it is, and before he can even come up with a use case for it he immediately says "I want this on EVERYTHING now!" He's a great guy to have around when you need someone to give a positive take on a sponsored product that everyone else in the office immediately identifies as being dumb and useless, but now that I've recognized it, I'm just not going to watch any more Plouffe videos. His face in the thumbnail tells me everything I need to know about the product AND the video: it's too expensive and/or stupid for me to consider buying, and he's going to spend 5 to 11 minutes singing its praises because he loves The New Shiny

I've seen a couple keyboards now with, what I would call, useless knobs. The connection mode should just be a switch on the back and the knob be volume. How often are you going to be switching modes? Most people would never touch that knob after day one because it has a useless function. The screen is kinda cool but also a gimmick that doesn't do anything. Still cool it's there for that price though
Could you make a video for really dirty environments, that are either really easy to clean while being low maintenance or that prevents food or other particulates from entering?
These switches have been made by Nkk switches for YEARS. They have a kit so you can make a full keyboard with only screen switches. This could have been done for like 10 years
Weird it's missing the `~ key and all the F keys. Anothing thing i'm not the biggest fan of is how big the bezels are. Making it look super old school. Also I wonder what the Menu button is for? Screen would be cool if it was also a fingerprint reader.
My only complaint is the top and bottom bezels are wasted real-estate. Could have easily just put macro keys or media control buttons there. If they ever either slim down the bezels, or add an extra row of keys/buttons(like the f row), I'd definitely buy one, even if it's $100.

The Steel Series Apex Pro has a much better, more useful screen imo. It's a dot-matrix LCD, not a full color OLED, but honestly, what good does having a super small, low res photo on your keyboard do? The screen should be used to change keyboard settings and actuation points, and display real time hardware monitoring info. And the Apex Pro is best in class in those areas. Plus, you can play snake directly on the keyboard.
Holy crap that thing is stupid, there are such better keyboards for the price. It's in that area where a gimmick is added to a quality product, but doesn't really add anything to the function of the product.
