what a beautiful song.
He’s still my favorite musician and his songs are so beautiful and make my life better and he’s my rock when life gets rough I can never be able to thank him enough! Thanks for making it so I can play him whenever I need it!😊 4:12
RIP JJW, your music will live on FOREVER!
This is a really beautiful song. It's funny that someone known to be a world-class hell-raiser would write such beautiful tender songs like Candles & Cut Flowers, My Old Man, Little Man, Morning Song for Sally and of course this one.
Just want to thank an old friend,"haven't seen in 24 years." for turning me on to Jerry Jeff, John Prine, John Stewart, Jonathan Edwards, and the nitty gritty dirt band. I think of you often Rob. Miss playing frisbee on the Chesapeake, looking for love "or whatever may come our way" along Ocean View. Hope you found that special Lady.
One of my favorite Country songs . Sorry to hear Jeff passed on . R.I.P
Many thanks for putting up this clip of the great Jerry Jeff Walker. Even more live music to listen to now that " he is not alive in the room "- the last words borrowed by Jerry Jeff's memorial and tribute to his long time friend and hatmaker, Manny Gamage.
That is a truth!! I love to hear Kristofferson sing....we play his cd a lot!
don't it make you cry
love it
few poets equal JJW, and kristofferson----pity those who do not know the work they have done----
I agree that both are poets and also recall Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Rodney Crowell, Tom Waits, and Gary P. Nunn. ...Hondo Crouch.
Tim McGraw has sung a version of this song also, it is a great song.
When friend was was sick and about to die only Jerry Jeff responded with a autograph picture and letter only celebrity that did
