They don’t get half of what they deserve for the hours they work, and getting there isn’t free either. They’re unsung heroes, and nurses work even harder supporting them for far less. 🤷‍♂️ I’m only saying. Work hard, play harder. 👍😉💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I just got Microsoft flight sim and built a computer that exceeds the recommended specs. I am not looking to create a full motion system, but I am using it to maintain all I learn during flight. For the price you spent on the sim, you could have gotten the license, at least in the US. Like the set up.

    Hi Doc,
Just stumbled onto your blog and must say I really enjoyed the content so much so i've even subscribed !!! Like yourself, I am an avid flight simmer and really interested in your motion platform. Could you do a vid on the platform itself, particularly where you purchased it from (local or OS), the set up and more importantly, marrying it up with your existing system. I keen to acquire one for myself, but unfortunately, I'm not very tech savvy but mechanically minded, so I was wondering whether I would have any problems as I don't have anyone to call upon for help. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a very similar setup, only sans the full-motion rig and external displays. Don't bother trying to drive the G9 at 4k as it doesn't support 4k and you'd be generating pixels you don't need and won't even be able to use for no reason, bogging down your system overall. I would strongly suggest adding a TOBII eye/head tracker so when your head moves, so does your view making the view controls mostly redundant... Though sometimes it can get confused if you're trying to turn to the limits of your view, like for the overhead or anything behind you. As awesome as the FBW A320 is, Fenix has it beat and that's true for their Block 1 version, and the release of Block 2 is imminent, adding a new engine option, cabin crew, and a whole lot more, including the ability to break things either on purpose or via abusing it. You have a new sub from me, and let's go flying together sometime!

This looks great! Do you plan to add a overhead panel? Do you got as well a headtracking system? But thank you for showing your cickit, now I got the solution for the main screens. I didnt know its also possible with a tablet. Thats perfect.

I really dig your motion sim setup, very compact looking design! I'm planning to build my own DIY style rig soon to compare my setup. You should definitely consider adding VR into your rig (if you haven't already)! VR flight using a stick is already exhilarating, I can't wait to try VR flight with motion feedback. After watching your video and seeing some of the additional haptic feedback and heave your seat uses has given me more ambitious ideas for my design. Cheers

Hey Doc! Awesome flight simulator set up and video, and so I’m wondering have you approached someone that could make this an all inclusive kit that you could simply buy? Oh by the way why haven’t you gotten your pilots license or did you decide that was a bridge too far?

nice simrig though i would definetly upgrade from that thrustmaster Airbus stick to a proper cam and spring stick
VKB, Virpil and Winwing make some of the best sticks i have tried on my own setup!
    I love the monitor though!
I upgraded mine to a odyssey 49 inch and it makes all the difference!
I can also recommend checking out DCS as it is much more realistic when it comes to physics than the "amateur" sim msfs

i can imagine being a bit painful sometimes when you are in your work as a doctor and cant wait to get home to your sim, would be hilarious you do a flight with your doctor cloths.
