This hobby can never go too far. I got the Airbus TCA Captain’s Pack, the Next Level Racing Boeing Commercial chair, a 4070 and 13th gen i7, and X-Plane 12 with all of the Toliss aircraft, Rotate MD-11, FF757&767, and Felis 742. I love this hobby
This is awesome! I’m a real life airline pilot and once went through the rabbit hole if building a sim. I eventually abandoned the project due to incredible complexities. I would love to see a written version of your build process. I may get back to this hobby!
Came from TheCarDoc. It always amazes me how the sim racing and flightsim communities are intertwined. I started off with racing and got into flightsim when I was younger as well. The motion platform is ideal for sim racing and flightsim as well. Looking forward to all your content man!

bro i started watching the video thinking this was a full channel with like over 500k subs, but no, this video is really good though, underrated asfk lol
Great video, definitely a very nice setup. I loved your description and your enthusiastic good-hearted mood It was nice to see someone loving something they have created. And thank you thank you SO much for telling me about Space Desk!!! It was really the software I was looking for so I could use my old phone and tablet to do some pretty amazing things with my gaming environment which includes Microsoft Flight simulator though I'm a relative newbie to that one. I haven't explored Space disc completely as yet but again thank you so much for that. I wish you Good luck on your future endeavors be it racing or flying or life in general. Ray
It looks more like something I could conceive of actually putting in my house than a lot of these elaborate sim setups. That makes this video kind of dangerous.
I got started on flight simulator a long time ago. Went from XT to AT, 286, 386, 386 with math coprocessor chip, 486, 586/Pentium and all of the items up to now at an i9 with a 4080 and m.2 drives. All of my H/W upgrades were so I could fly at a better FPS. I want to build a cockpit. I just have to make it my next project. Nice setup, I like that chair. oh, I almost forgot, get the Fenix.
I Just got through watching a full 18-wheeler truck simulator setup that made me question if it was reality or not. You definitely have not taken it too far. lol
Stumbled on this channel and I love this guy, I think it's his enthusiasm, lol! With a super nice rig like this, I was wondering if you should get a head tracker, it might make things easier and more immersive .
I sail in the same boat as yours. Wanted to become a pilot but could not complete my training. Now an engineer by profession. Those kind of system is my dream too. Kudos to you for coming up with such a beautiful system.
I have actually just started my flight training as of this year. I have not flown since January for both financial and weather reasons. I just got Microsoft flight sim and built a computer that exceeds the recommended specs. I am not looking to create a full motion system, but I am using it to maintain all I learn during flight. For the price you spent on the sim, you could have gotten the license, at least in the US. Like the set up.
What an awesome set up! I came from a flight sim background, to F1 sims, and want to go back to flying sims, and hope to get a rig like this one day. Great to hear you are an Aussie as well (which explains the Melbourne track just above your screen), and great to see the LH44 poster.
What a beautiful setup!! Looks really practical for a home sim, would love to imitate this to practice my checks! Please do share how you modified your trust lever quadrant bro😍
Hi Doc, Just stumbled onto your blog and must say I really enjoyed the content so much so i've even subscribed !!! Like yourself, I am an avid flight simmer and really interested in your motion platform. Could you do a vid on the platform itself, particularly where you purchased it from (local or OS), the set up and more importantly, marrying it up with your existing system. I keen to acquire one for myself, but unfortunately, I'm not very tech savvy but mechanically minded, so I was wondering whether I would have any problems as I don't have anyone to call upon for help. Any advice would be appreciated.
I'm an aviation enthusiant (not a geek, yet). since child I collected some models and at played MFS 2000 ca year 2000-2005. I only used my PC monitor, keyboard and a joystick for flying. Like you, I ended being a med doctor.
@@tejasagili9085 Since junior high, I loved to watch e.g Hospital and Chicago Hope where ER doctors are trying to safe lives. Second, I'm less than 165 cm height and to take pilot course is way to expensive.
Hi sir, with all that gear I recommend you getting the fenix 320. it behaves much better, looks better and if you ever want to learn a bit more a320 it goes into more detail. I know because I fly the real thing haha
I went with the: (1)Next level Racing Boeing Military sim pit (2)Thrust Master A-10 HOTAS stick and throttle used. (3)Thrustmast TPR peddles. (4)Next Level Racing HF8. (5)Winwing F18 PTO 2 panel. (6)Vizio sound bar with subwoofer. (7)Samsung Odyssey Neo 57" curved monitor with quantum mini LED, 240 Hz, (8)TrackIR-5 head tracker (Soon to add) Winwing Top Gun MIP, I would like to add motion like yours.
I've been playing FS since the late 80s :). The level it has gotten to in popularity and gear/rooms around it is insanely cool. With my main love being music, my money went there. My wife would kill me if I wanted room just for FS :).
You could install the accessory (a small bar to attach to the screen) that adds touchscreen functionality to any flat monitor. But I'm not sure this accessory will work well on a 57 inch monitor. The one I saw on Amazon was for 13-27 inch monitors. As you said in the video, a touchscreen would be great for your setup.
I'm jealous. I prefer to fly the Cirrus SR-22 around between Adelaide and Melbourne myself when I play the game, but I can only imagine how fun something like that would be to have a full motion cockpit. A bit out of y own price range, but I really appreciate the video and a envious of that set-up you've got going!

I have a very similar setup, only sans the full-motion rig and external displays. Don't bother trying to drive the G9 at 4k as it doesn't support 4k and you'd be generating pixels you don't need and won't even be able to use for no reason, bogging down your system overall. Though sometimes it can get confused if you're trying to turn to the limits of your view, like for the overhead or anything behind you. As awesome as the FBW A320 is, Fenix has it beat and that's true for their Block 1 version, and the release of Block 2 is imminent, adding a new engine option, cabin crew, and a whole lot more, including the ability to break things either on purpose or via abusing it. You have a new sub from me, and let's go flying together sometime!
This looks great! Do you plan to add a overhead panel? Do you got as well a headtracking system? But thank you for showing your cickit, now I got the solution for the main screens. I didnt know its also possible with a tablet. Thats perfect.
