- FIRST DRIVE: The ALL NEW first time for Lexus plug-in electric hybrid SUV the NX 450h+ is here and ready to take on the competition. The exterior is totally redesigned and the F Sport brings special touches to the grill, front fascia, and wheels. On the inside you will find a high level of fit & finish, plus and all new 14in infotainment screen. They also improved the price, making it more expensive than previous models.
The new NX is a huge improvement over the old one, it feels like Lexus was saving it up to make a big statement about the direction of their new vehicles starting from 2022.

❤️ it's a beauty. Earlier trackpad was a headache while driving. Hope these are not delayed as much as land cruiser.
This model is way better than 2020-2021 version. Love the wide screen display, headlight and tail light looking good now. Power is a plus for this version.
They made some really huge improvements!

@@AlejandroP1980s the rx is around x5 size (maybe a bit smaller), and definitely feels a lot more bigger and immersive, the nx is around x3 size but looks smaller

I'm seeing a lot of styling touches from the IS. The lines on the hood, the shapes of the corner vents and front grille, and the wheel design on the F Sport all remind me of the same features on my IS 350 F Sport, which is a good thing! I have to wonder if those will be implemented across the Lexus model range - along with the horizontal Lexus script on the back.

Only if you already owe $7500 in taxes. If you have lots of kids and tax deductions, the $7,500 won’t help you.
@@MrKillerRC this is a tax credit not deduction, so if you owe zero normally then you will get $7,500 back when you file

Love to see the drive review too. According to Redline Reviews, 0-60 is 7.8s, which is much slower than the proclaimed 6.6s.
Would love to see more drive reviews on NX350 or even a comparison between NX350 v NX350h.

@@vinayshsureshram277 performance is definitely not the first thing you expect from a Lexus. I’m cross shopping this between the x3m40i and glc43. Leaning towards the m40i because it’s cheaper and has more performance.

Is a panoramic moonroof not available? My family and I always get Lexuses and Toyotas. I've been waiting a few years for them to FINALLY do a redesign of the NX. 7 years is ridiculous. I love Lexus/Toyota for the reliability, but no panoramic moonroof at this point would be disappointing. Great video!

I’m definitely considering this Lexus over the Audi Q5e. Lexus has more range on the electric charge plus the tech seems more updated than Audi. Exterior also looks way nicer and worth the price.
Audi Q5e is just based on a now very old car. I also ordered a 450h solid gray NX 2022
I did exactly the same - ordered Lexus NX450h+ instead of AUDI Q5TFSIe
I mean the q5 is literally just a volkswagon tiguan, just a different brand name and slightly different interior

going from a 2010 Prius to a 2022 Lexus NX will feel like going from a crowded economy seat to a first class cabin on Emirates.
I am definitely interested in this one. Especially that sweet $7500 tax credit. Would be perfect for a road-trip car. My daily commute is a Tesla. This Lexus would be a perfect addition. It was this or the 2022 Tundra TRD Pro. I’m a gal who love cars, and I know I would modify the heck out of that Tundra. Perhaps, I should stick with this Lexus. 😂
Everything looked Fantastic, especially the door bins w/c I’m very particular of. I only can’t stand the Dashboard which is very bland. Pleased there’s more room in the back seats, w/ larger square windows.

Feel like they could’ve used that turbocharged engine with the plug in hybrid. Although I understand this is in the Rav4, that could’ve made this really unique. Really nice looking new NX though.

Dude you're obsessed with that rear wiper being at the top of the window lol. But I'm not sure if that makes sense - you need the most visibility towards the bottom of the rear window, and the arc of a wiper at the top wouldn't do that.

Nice job again and aging! Just find from elsewhere. The central armrest storage, could be opened 2 side, you should try/introduce both side, it's not a big deal, but feels more thoughtful for their design. New NX not launch in our market yet, but it's gonna be hot stuffs, especially for 450H F Sport.
Definitely looks great. I only with the HP are a bit higher like 350 or so. I'm definitely will test driving it but I like what I see. Most likely I'll be getting it.
Finally a lexus that majority will like. Pity they ditched the small mirror from armrest ...))) Will be perfect with brown and beige interior.
So what are your direct thoughts on the 450H vs the 350 turbo motor?

Nice car only thing I don't love is that rear wiper If they would extend a bit the rear spoiler and tucked the wiper in it would have cleaned the rear side

Just a correction to the specs. It is 2.5L on all the 2022 NX hybrids. 2.4L is the turbocharged variant. Love how the SUV looks. I can't wait to test drive it and sit in it. I have the 2020 NX 300h now and it seems tight for me and I am 5'10". I fit better in my 2021 RX450.

Wish the backseat had climate control especially for a luxury brand, and not so sure about the eCVT.

The eCVT is the reason I pre-ordered the 350 Turbo instead of the 350h Hybrid. The 8 speed torque converter automatic all the way right?
You guys do understand how an eCVT works right? Then you’d understand that it’s the most durable type of transmission in production.

@@vinayshsureshram277 performance is good too since this and the RAV4 Prime are the faster than their gas counterparts. My Camry hybrid smokes the 4 cylinder gas model with the 8 speed. There is no shift points either with this type of transmission so acceleration is linear (some people don’t like that, but I don’t mind at all).
