- The Old World Harness Leather belt (1.5") from Hank's Belts is hands down the best belt I've ever owned.
I dress it up with slacks and can also dress it down with jeans and shorts.

I have the montana and brute. Both quality belts that dont require several adjustments throughout my work shift which is the best thing about a thick belt.The montana was slightly thicker with more weight which shouldnt have been the case based off of the specs listed on the site. Very pleased with these belts!
Nice review. I've got the Montana Bison belt and my feelings are pretty much identical to yours. I've also had the issue where the Chicago screw catches on the end of the belt, a minor annoyance. And you're absolutely right about the belt making it easier to get your pants on. Unexpected benefit!

You can look at the belt buckle rattle two ways. 1) it wakes the wife up when you put your pants on or 2) it wakes her up when you take them off. Belt looks great

I got my first of their belts back in 2016. It had holes all the way down the belt. I don’t see that one listed still. I work outside and it’s lasted for the last 8 years. I bought a Montana bison as a nicer going out belt. Excellent belts.
That’s great to hear! I keep wanting to buy another one, but I just can’t find a reason. I wear this with jeans, shorts, and dress pants and I don’t wear suits anymore so no need for anything fancier.

It only rattles when you are putting it on or taking it off. Doesn't bother me on mine I have two. Good video
100% true. it actually doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers my wife while I’m getting dressed before she’s woken up.
Is the rattle bad enough to make you wanna buy a separate buckle without the roller?
Yes! I just haven’t spent the time to look for one. I’ve done a couple five minute google searches, but never seen anything that I like/trust.
Also I’ll say I have other belts with a roller on the buckle that aren’t nearly as loud. It’s just this one is sooooo loud.
Are all Hanks belt stiff ? Do they have any option with soft leather ?
I’m not sure! The one I got is one of the thickest (if not the thickest) belt they sell. So would naturally be stiffer than the others. Regardless I say give the stiffer belts a try, I was pleasantly surprised and haven’t worn my floppy belts since.
what color is this? Rich Brown or Refined Tan? Looking at it on their website and your color looks different than whats currently offered.
This is the refined tan. I think lighting plays a big role in how it looks. Mine is close to the first image on their website for the old world harness belt in refined tan.
