      I got some reply’s from Josh on instagram. I did in fact verify that the album is chaotic and heavy. This is the most radio friendly song that will be on the album. This one was for Marcus. Very excited.

      I was so happy to see them continuing to try new things. Its like a more NU metal inspired take which I LOOOVE. Great to see marcus also trying new styles! Next single is talking heads that more like the standard NL

      Zeek Fullerton the songs in the key of A# I think it’s 2nd fret drop G#, with an octave effect in the breakdown (like Korn do), defo not D# as suggested

    This song is way more than just the instrumentals or the production. The meaning is what really makes this my favourite song on the album. I think the live version is better because Marcus sings the second chorus an octave higher and it really sends it home. Jinn, Freefall, 4D, and Bloodline are my faves

    When it comes to technique, Marcus is right up there. On cleans his range is incredible and even right up the top his tone and placement is SO controlled. His fry scream execution is always flawless; both live and recorded.

      @@leviwarner1119 to start I was being a trolling music theory elitist but no I don't but usually when anything has ever been handed to me in flats I've just seen it as lazy since all you have to do is add a "b" behind the note. I also understand that flats have a place as well making things easier to read. I just prefer sharps either way it's still the same note. Although that drop B# tuning is still a mystery to me

      Awesome! One of my favorites!
      There seems to be an old vs new singer debate, but both add something brilliant.
      I started listening to them with Discoveries. That and singularity have a sightly different sound than current as they’ve moved into a more industrial/nu-Metal slant.
      My favorites are abrasumente, transcending dimension, I shook hands with death, dream awake, genesis/scarab, node, rot, and intuition.
      Hope you enjoy them!

    Their drummer is what sets them apart for me. He has an odd style that is catchy. Not so much on this track, but overall.

      @@gSWG3R the thing is that I don't think he wrotes his own parts (from what I remember) so you can't imput him so much the creative side but he is still an amazing drummer.
      And I agree with you, for me too it's the drumming that makes this band a whole lot better than other generic bands

    Just learnt the song is tuned to
    D#,G#,D#,G#,C#,F,A# on their baritone 7-strings but the song can just be played in Drop G# since they don't use the low D# in this song

    I listened to it last night and first off was like woah this doesn’t even sound like them, then I continued to be blown away. Very impressive song, my favourite so far. I’ve seen them live in Sydney by the way, was a great concert.

    The album is supposed to be very emotional and dark according to their interviews. It's definitely going to have a lot of aggressive sections but not many calm. Again this is all from the "Alien interview" videos on Northlane's UA-cam channel

    This is a really good analysis of the style of this song. I am a huge Northlane fan and am interested to see how the album sounds. I anticipate other songs in the album will be more instrumentally involved but you’re right this track was seemingly centered around Marcus. Idk the story but I believe this is something he went through earlier in life.

    Pretty certain the song is actually just in the normal Northlane tuning, song revolves around the A# string but in the chorus there’s a chord with a low G# root

    Liked the comparison with Linkin Park. It's definitely a tuned down LP track. Same epic sound an emotions (also this gigantic atmosphere)

    Great reaction to north lane nik your right Marcus did a great job on the screams and the clean vocals there very catchy lyrics and clean vibrant on the guitars very belt like melodies to it which I love great emotive notes on Marcus great heavy side on the track in the vocal parts there shit man this dude really went there in the song and the screams and the clean vocals so metal core there for north lane I think my reaction is that the bass line is outstanding on fire there in both the beginning to end very nicely done bass guitar I can hear it really well great heavy guitar rock feel to it on the heavyness nik this song is way over the top on my playlist here oh man nik that is a sick awesome track loved it loved the band and the vocalist so cool I like that they rocked better than the last album very awesome nik I have to agree with your statement reaction there bro yes 🙌 I rate this 5 niks for this reasons on this reaction nik great explanation you rock man love u 😍

    I think i have a problem!
    Instead of going to the original video i just jumped into your reaction video. I might go to the original video but with a different "aproach" 😀😀
