@@F.guitar82 I sorta get what you're saying, it's especially clear in live sessions like this that something is a little "lacking" but... I also kind of like it? It's different, makes the whole composition feel more airy, giving each instrument and sound more space to breathe and get noticed. Think it fits this band pretty well, their whole concept and style of writing might be what lets them pull it off so well imo.

@@borogove Yeah, because it's not quite his range; he takes those high notes with a great difficulty, it's apparent. Great range means that you can not only take certain notes, but also take them with relative ease, and it's not the case here. Other than that, a pretty good vocalist, and his extreme vocals are great
@@krauser_ What I meant was his stylistic range. Take the first clean notes for example, at 1:08 ("Someone just like me..." That G# ("me") is clearly not out of his vocal range - it's not even the highest note of the phrase - but it sounds really flat to me..maybe it's because he just switched from yelling to clean at that point. He's trying to use a great variety of vocal styles and I think he does a great job but I'd prefer if he was a tiny bit less ambitious about mixing contrasting styles and would focus a bit more on sounding relaxed.
