Wow, what a long journey. Enjoyed part one due to the magnificent mountain scenery and your tunnel effects.👍👍👍👍. Part two very industrial and lots of activity then turning into tranquil type scenery. All very well done Tim.
Hello Keith, I'm just packing ready to catch the train back from Northern Spain to the UK, we are blessed in Europe to have so many wonderful railways that survived the dark days of the 60's to go on and prosper as important parts of the network as is the case parts of this route. I'm looking forward to sharing my adventures in Spain and the South of France riding railways that could so easily have passed into history.
Wonderful trip. I am especially pleased that the journey from Thun to Bern took us through the Gürbetal, rather than the main line. This line only has regional trains, no ICEs. My family is from nearby Thurnen, where I spent many holidays with my grandparents as a boy. Perfect lighting, well shot and edited. One of my favourites. But then I am biased. In Kehrsatz the building past the station belonged to my uncle who ran the local butcher shop/abattoir where I also spent many holidays during my childhood.
Cheers, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. There is no harm in being biased, your grandparents and uncle lived in a beautiful part of the world, nice area to take childhood holidays.
Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed the ride. I post trips on my channel most weeks, please take a look at some of them, hopefully you will find one or two of them worth watching.
I am an American disabled Vietnam veteran who cannot travel anymore , and I find these videos outstanding for the same reason. I tried to take the train to visit my son, but it turned into a disaster. Now, I take these train trips in comfort and in my easy chair. Thank you as well.
I really miss the days when local diesel multiple unit trains had windows behind the driver so that we could see the driver at work as well as the view ahead.
+James Bernert Hi James, that's a really nice comment, but the real stars are mother nature and the crazy engineers who decided to conquer the terrain by building this awesome railway line, all I did was place a camera in the front of the train.

Olá, Suíça é um país lindo, também gosto de assistir vídeos do UA-cam da Suíça postados por outros criadores. Hello, Switzerland is a beautiful country, I also enjoy watching UA-cam videos of Switzerland posted by other creators.
Captivating scenery 🤩🤩🤩 I would sooner expect to find such a pearl at Railway Emotions or lorirocks777 than you 👌🏼 A big thank you for a wonderful journey (especially in the first part). 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It is a good idea to remove or shorten journeys through tunnels. As for me, the film could be published in its entirety. P.S. I do not understand how you must be irresistible to select 👎🏼
Hi, I'm pleased you enjoyed the ride, Switzerland is an amazing country. I enjoy watching cab rides from other You Tube creators, such as Railway Emotions, Railscapes, Hinducowgirl and dulevoz. In later videos I leave more of the tunnels in because the newer cameras cope better with low light situations. .
Ah, a kind of alternative angle. One thing I wondered from the other part; what's that sound that sounds like a whistle that you can hear periodically? Like near the start at 0:36. Some kind of audible warning I presume? yes, it seems to go "toot toot toot" when you've got a restrictive signal.
+AndreiTupolev Hi I just studied the track at several places were the whistle sounded expecting to see magnetic ramps operating an automatic warning system, but that was not the case, so I have to admit I don't know. Maybe someone will read this and enlighten us both.
Hi and THX for the great Videos! I'm planning to do a Europetour next year (Interrail for adults 22 days) and this 'trip' I would like to do. I'm just now collecting stuff for my journey and Your material is very handy. Greetings from Sweden ps. Nice 'footage' with the tunnels!
Hi, a Europe tour will be a great experience, especially if you are planning on visiting some of the old East European countries along with the West. So many countries, all with there own individual characteristics, music, food and languages. I think it will be a very worthwhile experience. Good luck and I hope it goes well, it is something I would love to do.
I love your videos, but it would have been nice to have seen the railcar itself. It is very historic and would have added just a little extra to finish.
Hi Michael, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I shot several videos on that day, this one includes shots of the train itself - ua-cam.com/video/gv8tFVy3G9w/v-deo.html
Our train leaves the main line to join a secondary line that meanders through pleasant farm land and small villages for much of it's route. The secondary route was probably built on a lesser budget that did not allow for bridges instead of level crossings, resulting in the line we see today. There must be times when the farmer needs to take his herd across the tracks to new pastures or for milking, but I think most of the crossings are intended for people and vehicles.
Timsvideochannel1 Yes? I suspected that, but then though it was too frequent. Can't be a need to adjust the speed quite that often, I thought, but if you say so. Yes, I'm strangely addicted to cab ride views. Should probably see a shrink. Thanks for the video.
Hi, this is an alternative view of the same trip including some shots of the driver - ua-cam.com/video/gv8tFVy3G9w/v-deo.html maybe it can help determine the source of the clanking sound. As for visiting the shrink, my wife would send me to see one, she doesn't understand my love of trains.

There's another one of those Sinclair C5 type things, in the car park at Burgistein (21:50)! They seem to be popular in Switzerland.

Now I have seen them, I would love to drive one, they look like fun.
No extra charge for taking the scenic route?
It's always fun travelling with the Railway Touring Company, their trains rarely take the direct route 😊

Grrrreat! What is the strange, frequent clanking sound? It seems to come from inside the cabin?
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I think the clanking sound was the speed controller (looks like a steering wheel), no fancy
electronics in this train.
