Fantastic! My mother & ex-wife both taught me the basics of sewing years ago. I've since forgotten most of what I once knew. Now I'm an older man of a certain age & I have plans to take sewing lessons this winter. I'm still young enough to hit the trails & love my hammocks. Making my own gear would bring a level of satisfaction & a product with my exact specifications that is difficult to achieve through purchasing ready made gear unless spending uber $ for custom gear. Thanks for the skilled video.
Thanks so much for showing us your skills. I sowed some ripstop kites 20 yrs ago and i fought the fabric so much I wish I would have had your videos to watch then but UA-cam wasnt even around then if you can imagine that.
Great video. And good excuse for me to learn how to use my rolled hem foot. I have some silnylon, just need to resupply on shock cord etc. I like your design in that it doesn't have long pieces of shock cord along the whole seam.
Me: I'd like to make a UQ protector, not sure how to do it so let me see if theres anything on UA-cam. (searches) OF COURSE! Jellyfish has a video! Where would I be in my DIY without you?
Have you had any condensation issues with it being silnylon? Also, main reason I'm makeing it is to stop wind from getting between the uq and me. Is 83%long enough to seal?

Just ordered my rolled hem foot today. I hope it is as easy to use as you make it look. Thanks for another video.
I love the rolled hem foot. Good luck!
Beautiful work! :)
Why you only have a thousand subs is beyond me. I wish I found you sooner.
Thanks for the videos. I have learned a lot from you.
Thanks for this...made mine today!
Fancy! thanks for sharing this, if i could just get past the birds nest i make when i try sewing ...lol
I'd buy one if possible , would you consider !! Just asking .
Why not just make the outer UQ with the tarp fabric? Curious, because that is what I thought about doing. Not sure of ins and outs about though
You could, but if it gets muddy or dirty, it is MUCH easier to just wash an underquilt protector than to your down/synthetic underquilt.

I havent, but if you sweat a lot I would go with non-waterproof.
Just curious where you bought the cord locks?

Love the videos', Jelly - but please lose the music, so annoying when I'm trying to focus on your instruction :)
That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me!!!
